Hey everyone! 2025 has been quite a year for K-pop boy groups, with some big names, survival-show rookies, and smaller company debuts. I want to hear your unfiltered opinions—the brutal takes, unpopular thoughts, and honest sentiments. Are you a fan? Do you think some of these groups are overhyped, underrated, or might flop? Let’s get real. ⚠️ Friendly reminder: This is a space for discussion, not drama. Constructive criticism is welcome, but excessively hateful or spammy comments defending idols will be removed. No need to defend your bias; it won’t help the conversation. Keep it civil, and respect that others may have different opinions. 📅 2025 K-pop Boy Group Debuts January 2025 KickFlip (JYP Entertainment) – January 20, 2025 XLOV (Company: Not specified) – January 7, 2025 February 2025 AWIN (J-Star Entertainment) – February 16, 2025 N.TOP (J-Star Entertainment) – February 6, 2025 Nouera (Nouer Entertainment) – February 26, 2025 March 2025 NEWBEAT (Beat Interactive) – March 24, 2025 April 2025 Close Your Eyes (CYE) (UNCORE) – April 2, 2025 July 2025 AHOF (F&F Entertainment) – July 1, 2025 August 2025 Polarics (Idol Youth Entertainment) – August 18, 2025 CORTIS (BigHit Music) – August 18, 2025 September 2025 IDID (Starship Entertainment) – September 15, 2025 Disclaimer - there might be errors since i only asked ai to arrange this lol submitted by /u/Gloomy-Living-5313 [link] [comments]

I think this has been a topic of discussion in a lot of kpop spaces these days. While I think that the members of aespa are highly talented individuals, I must say that it seems like their abilities in stage performance have deteriorated over time rather than improve. Now I am a MY, have been since spicy era but I don't think I have seen them in this level of low in terms of performance, i.e GMA, TMA, etc. They look bored on stage, their faces are straight, no energy, it looks like they're not really enjoying the performance themselves which automatically is not a good thing for the audience. Seeing their performance nowadays only makes me question why I stanned them in the first place. I am a person who prioritizes high energy performances, live vocals, stage presence, something i thought aespa could deliver given their concept and their songs. The songs that they put out is also an issue I have. Dirty Work and Rich man are both songs which I would imagine requires top tier stage presence, and high energy but the members are not able to deliver the right atmosphere for the songs. For songs that are down and dirty, they're way too polished. I saw many people blame the choreography and the camerawork but at the end of the day, we are bound to watch the choreo with our own eyes and not through the camera (in concerts). What then? And the problem of live singing. Aespa is arguably one of the best vocal groups in the industry right now and they are rightfully hyped (imo) but they aren't singing live most of the time. If they're not singing live nor are they delivering high class performance, on what basis am I supposed to like them? Visuals? It girl potential? I'd much rather prefer a group who sings shakily but live than a group who doesn't sing live at all. The choreography is not even an excuse for not singing live. Aespa has by far the easiest choreos among 4th gen ggs. Having easy dances is not a problem if they can deliver a good performance filled with the right energy and stage presence. But Aespa has easy choreographies, does not sing live and little to no stage presence. I would expect them to do at least one thing right. I'm frustrated and disappointed. It doesn't feel good to watch a group who look like they want to get off the stage all the time, it's almost as if they don't like performing on stage. They're not having fun and that makes me feel bad even more. :/ submitted by /u/coelattee [link] [comments]
"It was ahead of i'ts time" - I can understand if maybe it wasn't successful at the time but often times it was so.. was it really? "Just because you don't like it doesn't mean other people will agree" - Yes. That's why it's called an opinion "Okay but what about what happened in 3rd/4th Gen" - girl noone cares, that doesn't excuse what's going on in 5th Gen. You go back to 3rd Gen then. "Twitter/X hate means nothing" - did you think HYBE owns Twitter? Or that the fourteen year old in their room making viral hate posts for attention was gonna affect a group's comeback? "[insert group] comeback flopped" - sigh, they still sold out the tour, and sold millions of their album and here you are saying they flopped because it didn't chart or you didn't hear about it. "[insert group] are fifth gen leaders" - Says who? they only debuted last year. "you don't know these people" - kpop is parasocial, leave if you are uncomfortable. This probably won't stay up long because some of y'all have skin made of paper and that's funny because it's you same ones that say these things when you'd never survive the industry. submitted by /u/onlyeveryotherday [link] [comments]

It’s kind of like that saying, “It’s not the country that’s bad, it’s the people who run it.” But at the same time, because those people work under the company’s name, whatever they do ends up reflecting back on the company. So yeah, it’s really a double-edged sword, isn't it? submitted by /u/Daddy1007a [link] [comments]
Hi everyone. I'm making my first Reddit post in hopes it can reach many people. Boys 2 Planet is coming to an end this week and I really want Kang Woojin to debut. I have been rooting for him since the beginning. I want those who don't know about him to see the talent that he is. I know y'all would adore him — just watch his performance to Atlantis Princess by BoA and you'll see how amazing he is. There is something about him that is rare to see now in humans: his humbleness and kindness. I think someone like him deserves the opportunity to debut.. He is an amazing singer and dancer (again watch his performance to Atlantis Princess and tell me that isn't the cutest dance you've seen). He is handsome and TALL. Like come on visual and talent AND kindness, what more could you want in an idol. I just really want him to debut 🥲 I hope I convinced at least one person. If you can, I ask for you to download the Mnet+ app and go to Boys 2 Planet and vote for Kang Woojin until the final episode airs 🩵 submitted by /u/goldfishslippers_ [link] [comments]
