you can feel lonely even if you have thousands of fans and members who are always with you, because for some people that kind of love isn’t enough. while not everyone wants to date, i’m sure some idols want to have lovers and it must suck that they can’t/or don’t have enough time to form a strong bond with someone. being an idol can be so lonely when you think about it because you have so many people worshipping you but they’re in love with your persona/image not the actual you submitted by /u/sunsetky [link] [comments]

I saw the leaked clips of Under15 and they left me with a disgusting feeling. Children aged 8 to 14 dressed as adult idols, wearing makeup, with sexualized styling, dancing to choreographies that have nothing to do with their age. And we're not talking about a random video on YouTube. It was an official program, produced and funded in every sense. The fact that someone thought this was a good idea, that it was filmed, edited, and promoted as if nothing, says a lot about where the industry is now. This is no longer early training, this is pure exploitation. And it's not an isolated case. For a while now, we've been seeing how 13 or 14-year-old trainees debut with adult concepts. To dress them in miniskirts, to film them from dubious angles, to put heavy makeup on them, and to write lyrics they don't even understand. But Under15 broke any limits because they did it shamelessly, and the worst part is that they even had support from certain sectors of the fandom who defended it with phrases like "it's so they start young" or "they're just dancing." No. It's not just that. I don't understand how this didn't cause more noise outside the usual circle. We spend our time arguing over trivial matters and let truly concerning things slip by. If this had happened in the West, people would be filing lawsuits. submitted by /u/Seesawey [link] [comments]
