817. Ot7 riize fans have gone too far with the seunghan situation

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I say this as an ot7. Yall have lost the plot and are now crazy like ot6 and the solos. Cause what are you doing tagging and harassing seughan's new colleagues and friends in your ot7 posts. Basically saying I don't want seughan to be in a group with you and I don't want y'all to move on. I was all for the protests when it was about legal action and resintatement up to a certain point. We are past that point now. Seughan is acting as a indie artist and building his own team, ruats the point of xoul. He has a vision and message he wants to get across. He has friends he is dry excited to work with who are also excited too. Do you know how disrespectful it is to not only tag his new colleagues but also demand he go back to his old group in a toxic center with toxic fans and no musical direction where they're controlled like dolls, and that he drop his new journey and new friends who he loves and who love him. A small managemrn team who are letting seunghan do his vision. The audacity, the shame, the delusion. The solos were right about y'all. I don't want to be associated with y'all so I'm no longer calling myself an ot7. Seunghan will always be in riize and it will always be his righrful place, but now life has him on a different path with a new dream with new people. He WANTS to do this. This isn't the situation anymore where he's forces to do a solo. He's actively creating a brand and becoming the artist he wants with people he wants to be with. If it was just legal action I would support, but y'all have truly thrown your morals out the window. You'll run over anyone even seunghan the victim and his colleagues and isolate him even more. He's out here showing you his new music and dance and friends and you just respond with riize is 7 reinstatement? And you doj see the disrespect? This isn't justice.this is sabatoge. I agree that Yall need to leave seunghan alone now bc y'all don't know boundaries. submitted by /u/spice_rice27 [link] [comments]

818. Seeing yoongi happy and thriving at hobi's concert made me so emotional

Yoongi's first proper public appearance in almost 2 years was genuinely so perfect. It was at his member's final concert and on his group's 12th debut anniversary. With everything that happened last august I genuinely was concerned on what his comeback would look like. Would he be more reserved, would the media continue to hound him, would he have to move quietly, would he keep a low profile, would he even take a small break and while I genuinely was hoping none of these would happen there was still a lingering fear. Seeing him there looking genuinely happy, singing and dancing in a stadium filled with people who love him literally felt like this huge sigh of relief that he was doing okay. I cant wait to finally hear from him and hope he and the rest of bts too are able to put everything in the past and move on. Seeing someone who's music helped me through my worst doing well and being at ease is all i want. He really was right when he said future's gonna be okay ;) submitted by /u/PrimaryTomato3310 [link] [comments]

822. Discussion: Social Media Activity During Military Service

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi everyone! Kind of new to the world of KPOP, and I am learning all the things! I know that SK has mandatory military service for men and our favorite KPOP boys, unless they're another nationality will have to serve. My question is on the rules surrounding social media posts during their military time. I've noticed that some of the BTS guys have posted since being in (and yes, I know 6/7ths are out now!😀). Then, we have Seventeen. Jeonghan appeared in the chat on one Weverse live, I think, and Wonwoo hasn't popped up yet. I was wondering if there are actual rules that the military has for them regarding social media or is this a choice that they choose to or not to post? Or, is it their managers posting for them? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! :) submitted by /u/Unicorn_Support7678 [link] [comments]

823. What would a supergroup with all your biases look like?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Just for fun! Imagine a group with all your biases from different groups (1-2 at most from each group). How much of a disaster (or success) would they be? Do you think they’d all get along or have no chemistry? What would their concept be? What kinda music would they release? Would they flop? What would each person’s role be? Would it be hella unbalanced? I’ll go first! My boy group would have J-hope, Xiumin, Jun, DK, Lee Know, Shinwon. (I have more biases but i’m picking these arbitrarily) Probably zero chemistry whatsoever lmao, also probably loud and awkward. J-hope would be the leader fs and also the main rapper. They’d be legendary at dancing, and DK would def carry the vocals. They’d probably lean towards a cool concept because of their visuals, maybe even experiment with dark/sexy. Lee Know would actually be the maknae??? and i can picture them teasing him a lot. submitted by /u/Lilac-Soul [link] [comments]

824. The difference between Karina and Jungkook’s situations

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I know a lot of people are pointing out the hypocrisy of those who bashed Karina but are now defending Jungkook — and yeah, at first glance it does seem like a double standard. But honestly, I think there’s a valid reason behind the different reactions. Just look at the way they handled their apologies. Jungkook addressed it directly on his own Weverse account, with no company filter. He acknowledged what happened, admitted he was wrong, and even said he got rid of the hat. It felt sincere, personal, and immediate. Karina’s apology, on the other hand, was vague and clearly crafted by the agency. She didn’t directly mention the issue, and it felt more like damage control than genuine accountability. So yeah, it makes sense that people are more willing to forgive Jungkook. 827. What's the worst produced/lowest quality music video you've seen?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

So, I recently checked out this post from u/Someonehihi and in the comments I learned about "Getting Pretty After" by SixBomb. Mannnnnnnn, the production team must have had five nickels and a dream for that music video. The costumes, the settings, the editing... Anyway, it got me thinking, what other music videos look like they were filmed by first year film students? MVs with just really cringey quality. This is not meant to be a post where we hate on any group, more so looking for a bit of a laugh. submitted by /u/Reverse7695 [link] [comments]

829. Which groups have the best Japanese lyrics?

As a native English speaker, I'm aware of which K-pop groups have had their English lyrics written by a native speaker and which groups haven't, so I'm curious to know if this happens with Japanese songs. Which K-pop groups have the best Japanese lyrics, and are there any with 'odd' lyrics or lyrics that don't sound right? I'm also making this post because as someone with no knowledge of Japanese I'm curious to know about how K-pop artists' Japanese lyrics are in general. submitted by /u/soshingi [link] [comments]

830. Message to everyone going to see kpop artists this summer

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

With more and more concerts being announced, i would like to remind everyone to stay safe in crowds, especially in pit sections. crowd crushes can happen in a flash so be aware of your surroundings and stay safe. Please be kind and courteous to your fellow fans! everyone is there to see the same artists we know and love, so let’s do our part to make sure us and our fellow fans have a great night! that being said here are some concert tips that i’ve gathered from my experiences! be prepared for and dress for the weather! with many events being outdoors as parts of festivals or stadium/arena shows, it’s important to dress comfortably to make sure you have a good time. make sure you are ready for the weather. i recommend bringing a baseball cap and a water bottle at the very least if you’ll be outside. what i did last year for outdoor summer concerts was bring a handheld fan and a hiking water pack. make sure you’re aware of your surroundings. With festivals and shows that have standing sections it is possible that you may be in a space that is very crowded and for kpop shows the audience ranges from young to old so make sure that you don’t accidentally elbow someone or accidentally miss a kiddo who’s by your feet. (speaking from experience because i almost wiped out a kid at stray kids’ lolapalooza performance) if you see something say something. In large crowds you may notice someone pass out, start a fight, any other kind of emergency. at that point you and the people around you need to help get the staff’s attention as it gets harder for them to spot things like these in large crowds. You can use your phone’s flashlight to signal that someone needs help and get the people around you to help get the staff’s attention. We are all here to have a good time so let’s do our part to make sure we’re all safe too! be kind and courteous to staff. The staff are there to do their jobs and make sure we have a good experience, so try your best to listen and be respectful of them as well. The staff are also there to make sure we are safe as well so please make sure that your behavior is not what is causing the staff to have to become overwhelmed. as fans we represent the people who we stan, so let’s set a good example and lead by example. be kind and courteous to your fellow fans! people travel from anywhere and everywhere to see their favs, and spend lots of money and time to get there, so try your best to make sure EVERYONE has a good time by being kind and respectful. Especially in venues where the audience is all standing, be mindful of your space and others’ space. Especially as crowds get larger, you’ll need to be more careful because conflict can arise a lot faster/easier. 6.Know when you may need to leave a crowd. I assure you that it is better to be further back in a crowd if that is more comfortable. When i saw stray kids at lolapalooza, the crowd was getting so tightly packed that i could no longer see the stage or screen and could barely move at all. It was also 90 degrees out. So i left that part of the crowd and moved further back to a place where i could both see the screen and could stand comfortably, and i still had an amazing experience. On the flip side when i saw dpr in chicago, i had stayed in a tightly packed crowd and i was also anxious the entire time because i was just getting shoved around. Feeling uncomfortable in the crowd while watching your fave is only gonna distract you from having fun! be mindful of what you’re holding! if you have a lightstick or poster, holding it up too high or moving it around to aggressively can become a hazard and can ruin other people’s experiences as well. i suggest holding these items at chest level to make sure you don’t block someone else’s view. Have a great concert season y’all! Stay safe and have fun! submitted by /u/TurnipMoist [link] [comments]

831. What albums do you love but can’t justify buying?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Could be either because of the music or the album design or whatever else. For the design I love Illit’s Bomb (merch ver.) and Izna’s Beep but since I don’t really stan either of them I can’t justify spending that much money. On the other hand I ult aespa and love the concept but can’t justify buying the Dirty Worker version of their upcoming album. I can already see from the previews that I have no way to display it well so I bought the case version instead. For music I love WJSN The Black’s My Attitude- album and I’ve thought about buying it many times but I don’t know any of the members other than Exy and the design is not impressive enough to make me feel like I need to display it on my shelf. There are also different versions of albums that I regret not choosing but I can’t justify buying a new version of an album I’ve already purchased years ago. submitted by /u/Winter-Net-2669 [link] [comments]

833. Fans are concerned about how Yeosang’s (ATEEZ) treatment

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Edit: Sorry I know this is long haha As the title suggests, I wanted to make this post just cause there’s been a lot of concern (especially in the last like 16 hours) of how Yeosang from Ateez is treated by their company. For those who don’t know, Ateez had their comeback today (13/06), with Golden Hour: Part 3. Those who are at least somewhat into Ateez will know that there has been a lot of dissatisfaction specifically with the perceived unfair treatment that Yeosang receives (I use the word ‘perceived’ here because people’s opinions will differ). To be honest it wasn’t hard to see that he didn’t receive as many lines as his other members, especially at the start and this is something that he verbally expressed himself. To add to that, Yeosang is one of the quieter members, which meant that he often slipped into the background, especially when earlier on in their career. In more recent years, we have been seeing more from him and line distribution has improved quite a bit. He’s also generally come out of his shell much more which is nice to see. Now in the title track of their latest comeback, ‘Lemon Drop,’ fans have noticed that Yeosang has again been given very few lines — totalling to about 7 seconds in a ~ 3 minute song. Am I disappointed that the company has yet again done this? Yes, definitely. But the response from fans has been in my opinion a bit OTT. It’s now snowballed (as it does so often in the kpop world) and people are sharing clips from the fan chant guide and are speculating that his behaviour is due to how the company is treating him. That could absolutely be true. But I need people to understand that WE DO NOT KNOW THESE PEOPLE PERSONALLY. There could be so many other reasons why he seems down or maybe he’s just tired. I’m seeing so many posts of people criticising the company and the producers. I, for one, am never against criticising companies but the comments on the latest post on their producer, Eden’s, Instagram are way too much. To add to that, people are fundraising to send a truck to the company. Maybe this is because I’ve been out of the loop for so long, but are we being fr?? There are so many causes where your money could go… and you want to use it to send a truck to a company cause you don’t like how many lines they gave someone… I don’t disagree with people’s disappointment— I feel the same but the reaction just feels so unnecessary to me. Maybe this is because I see what else is going on in the world and it makes it hard for me to place that much care (and money) into something like this. And also, I can’t help but wonder how this will seem to Yeosang and the other Ateez members. There’s no doubt they will see all the commotion, if they haven’t already. Maybe he will appreciate the fans looking out for him, but what if he doesn’t and this just causes issues for him? I know people have good intentions but they also need to consider the potential impact. Idk, I just wanted to share this here to and hear what others have to say. As an Atiny and someone who has recently come back to the kpop world after being out of the loop for roughly 5 years, I was really excited. However, I’ve been remembering why I stopped enjoying kpop before — the way that fans react and catastrophize is honestly white off putting. Also just to share my own thoughts regarding Yeosang himself: In my opinion (and others have expressed the same), this is a classic case of an idol with a unique voice that may not completely suit what is expected within kpop. I personally love Yeosang’s voice — how deep it is, the tone, everything. It kinda reminds me of Tae’s from BTS (my former ult❤️‍🩹), and similarly, I think Yeosang really suits songs that take on a more R’n’B or jazzy style (please listen to It’s You if you haven’t already). I do hope that if he is dissatisfied or feels mistreated that he is able to express this to the company himself. submitted by /u/Initial-General1863 [link] [comments]
