Especially Rough and Bang Bang Bang. I went on a school trip to Seoul back in 2016 and would always hear the former almost all the time, playing in a shop or a restaurant. Meanwhile, me and my entire class attended a dance studio session on one day and the song picked was Bang Bang Bang. Very catchy songs! As someone who's only prior exposure to K-Pop was just Super Junior and Psy, these two groups definitely helped further pique my interest in the entire genre. I don't have a particular favourite group, nor am I a hardcore stan of any idol, but hearing a GFriend or BIGBANG song nowadays does conjure up very warm memories... submitted by /u/RandomCarGuy26 [link] [comments]

I'm not familiar with Kik5o's work but I tuned in when it was released because it was AleXa's first release after leaving ZB Label. I watched the music video when it was released earlier this year and moved on but recently found myself out of nowhere remembering the beat of the song and you could say I "rediscovered" the song and I haven't stopped replaying it daily! Kik5o & AleXa's voices compliment each other so well and they both carry the song in their respective parts and when they sing together! 10/10 collab and I'm upset it's super underrated. submitted by /u/Dilemma_stress [link] [comments]

if you didn’t know, Love your W is a yearly event that celebrities attend and even perform and the main premise is to bring awareness to breast cancer… or at least that’s what everyone thinks now people are criticizing celebrities for being out of touch as they’re there to party and have fun, also not wearing pink which is the color for said cancer awareness and even drinking alcohol which contradicts the whole point as it’s one of the higher risks of breast cancer; basically in short they’re being tone deaf and W korea (who organized the event) is being criticized for how they chose to organize and advertise as for an event that’s about cancer awareness they didn’t put anything related to it and the fact that for 20 years since its existence they only donated 700k USD or 1.1B won (which per year it’s 38k usd approximately) which is little considering that they invite huge luxury brands and celebrities meaning that they barely donated for how much money they have i’m glad that W korea is being called out on it because if they’re going to hold an event like that then they should at least use their intention right otherwise just advertise it as like the met gala of korea or smth submitted by /u/Free-Application860 [link] [comments]

Im from India and I can see how hindi punjabi marthi bhojpuri industries music getting viral worldwide and billions views in Spotify youtube with local languages without using english with just vibe and banger tracks Same for korean industry i started listening because of vibe but now it's more look like english, idk why idols stop singing in their native language For music language not matters .lyrics composition production matters, idk why it's becoming norm that if it's english then it will get viral, nowdays im seeing less songs in korean and that too not good submitted by /u/BullfrogVisual2832 [link] [comments]
I think the chorus is rhythmically satisfying with the use of empty space. It's the same usage I liked from their debut song IZNA that I saw some hate for too. I think their rap style is really smooth. I've always liked Izna's raps and lyrics in most of their songs. The choreo is pretty addicting to watch. Especially the little rodeo move as the second half of the chorus starts, and then the sequenced repetition in the prechorus. I think the simplistic beat puts more emphasis on the spoken vocals' timing and flow which feels like a great juxtaposition with the prechorus and the properly sang vocals. I like Sign a lot too. I want more of that as well, but this song is scratching an itch too and it may be just me. Anyways, gonna go rewatch the choom performance. submitted by /u/Lotus-Vale [link] [comments]
I’d say visuals, but from what I’ve seen as a casual fan (not a hardcore ARMY), Jungkook and then Jimin seem to be the most popular BTS members. That’s just my assumption based on general exposure and what I’ve noticed online. That got me thinking about what factors determine who becomes the most popular member in a group? I'm interested in what others have to say! submitted by /u/Sea-Republic8892 [link] [comments]
I was adding songs to my k pop ggs playlist on spotify yesterday when I saw the song yolo by aespa that i haven't added.I decided to add it, as i need more songs on my playlist anyways and when I played it it was the first song I heard and omg, it was AMAZING.Like how does it have less than 10m views on spotify??? submitted by /u/Particular-Rain116 [link] [comments]
Twice (Jihyo, Nayeon,Momo and Tzuyu) VS Performance I have been reading feedback form some other posts on several subreddits and personally as a twice casual listener— I truly enjoyed the performance on tonights Victoria secret performance. Yes maybe the vocals weren’t as good as they could have been HOWEVER: They sang live compared to some other performers They danced as all the kpop idols do but still part of the beautiful performance. Tzuyu mentioned on bubble that she was sick and has phlegm in her throat. Not all members were there obviously so they had to rearrange the singing structure from original STILL loved this performance. They have been touring internationally and attending other solo activities at the same time. We need to give them props to how well the performance is with the behind the scenes information and take into account all the circumstances. They did a wonderful job as only 4 of them and comparing them to have Lisa performed isn’t exactly the best thing as the circumstances of the performances are different. https://youtu.be/DPrPbU5yJSw?si=LHXlQAe6libLSCg7 submitted by /u/plentyoflove98 [link] [comments]

So i was seeing here and there pics of idols and actors partying and i said ok this is another fashion event .. but noooo it was a breast cancer awareness event, n .. every celeb who attended this event is getting criticized by the korean public right now and rightfully so.. Nothing in that event indicates that its a charity event .. all u see are idols dancing .. drinking !!! At a cancer awareness event !! And partying and posing for brands ...none of them said a word about breast cancer not even apink ribon.. jay park was singing about breast .... And the worst of this all is the amount of money "collected" is so mediocre .. in a room full of millionaires who just went there to party pose for brands and drink .. the whole thing feels out of touch. W korea and celebs attending are facing a lot of heat from the public right now and i think they deserve the hate this time. submitted by /u/Top-Scientist-6863 [link] [comments]
