4.864. [Day 3] What K-pop title track from 2024 sounds SAD, but the lyrics are HORNY?

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

And the 2024 song agreed upon by the majority where the sound is sad but the lyrics are loving is Love wins all by IU. Time for the next category. Note: I got inspired by an ongoing game in r/TomorrowByTogether. Since I am a K-pop multistan myself and 2024 was an amazing year for music, I got a bright idea. This game is simple: You must comment a K-pop song that is a title track was released in 2024 matches the following criteria mentioned in the title You can suggest title tracks from BGs, GGs, co-eds, or soloists. The title track with the most upvotes gets to be labeled in the designated square. submitted by /u/Redditpernya [link] [comments]

4.873. Today I learnt that JYP has debuted a group called Kickflip

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

There are the first major JYP boy group debut after SKZ. ( I know about their japanese/korean group NEXZ ). I know about LOUD survival show and heard that the group will debut for a while but when did they actually make their debut. I keep up with kpop spaces and it's a JYP group for god's sake but I haven't seen one mention them. Even if they are doing better domestically than internationally there should be at least some noise about them. Their seniors SKZ and Twice are so popular why haven't they used that to promote them more. I saw a post that they have sold 600k and that's good numbers so they must have a decent following is it because they are more famous in non English spaces? Like is it just a different feed thing or am I just unaware submitted by /u/DiMpLe_dolL003 [link] [comments]

4.874. Why is Blackpink sexualizing themselves so much?

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I know im gonna get downvoted and I’m not trying to hate, but I feel like no one is really addressing how overly sexualized Blackpink has become lately especially Jennie and Lisa. I get that the usual response is, “They’re adults, let them do what they want,” and I agree that adults have every right to express themselves. But let’s be honest: being an adult doesn’t automatically mean you have to be half-naked on stage or flash your boobs during a performance. I’ve been a huge fan of Blackpink for years, and Jennie has always been my ult. But lately, it feels like every concert they sexualize themselves more and more. Jennie and Lisa in particular seem to be leaning more into this image. On top of that the outfits especially the super short shorts barely cover anything anymore, i dont know why they use safety shorts anymore because you can see EVERYTHING😭 I’m not against idols dressing how they want or feeling empowered in their own skin. Confidence is great. But there comes a point where it feels excessive. And the double standards are wild. If another idol did something similar, people would be quick to criticize them, calling it attention-seeking or inappropriate. But when it’s Blackpink, suddenly it’s “iconic” or “empowering.” submitted by /u/katherinee0 [link] [comments]

4.875. so apparently lisa has a lightstick now 🤔

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’m having rather mixed feelings about this… on the one hand I do like lisa and she certainly is a great artist and icon, but I also feel like she’s been criticized a lot lately by netizens for several reasons. I also feel like with rose’s hit song apt and rosie album claiming top spots on the charts recently, this sudden drop of a lisa lightstick feels kinda odd to me. What are your opinions on this? submitted by /u/redlipstick1010 [link] [comments]

4.877. Is it just me or K-pop is boring these days?

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

As someone who has been a K-pop stan since 2nd gen and all the way through to the end of 4th gen... 5th gen is just not doing it for me. Like the music is good but I couldn't be bothered to stan anyone anymore. The fun is gone for me. Just me? submitted by /u/tinyxikey [link] [comments]

4.878. Why it's hard to understand for people that music is subjective

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Tons and tons of posts criticizing 'some groups' (Bp, aespa , skz and many others) flood these spaces... Sometimes I really wonder if the people making these posts are actually music professionals. A few posts are understandable, but damn, people really don't stop once they get started on certain groups' music... and they get thousands of upvotes. Their wording sounds so objective, like they're presenting the entire K-pop fandom's opinion: xyzs music is going downhill, xyz is really bad,' XYZ song is this, is that.' ...and when... does some group's music really make you this upset? I'm not against criticism, but at least make sense... Present your criticism subjectively. How the hell do these people know others aren't enjoying the music just because they don't like it? People really sound so dumb sometimes... I swear there are tons of groups and songs .. including some from my favorites , outsude kpop too ... that I don't like. All I do is skip them or never play those songs again. Not once have I thought, 'Oh, let me make a whole post about this.' And this pattern seems especially true for certain groups... Just listen to the music you like, skip what you don't, and only criticize when you have something sensible to say and try to live ur life outside internet please ... And please stop saying it's criticism group stans can't take , become overprotective....when people disagree with these kind of posts ...they ended up being tons of downvotes without saying words.....you can't convince me that this isn't hate .. submitted by /u/Longjumping-Bee5290 [link] [comments]
