I've been into kpop since 2020 and, from almost a year, I've not been watching anything about it. No M/Vs, no interviews, no concerts. I don't know know why, the thought comes and then it's not important anymore. Anyone else feels the same? submitted by /u/Still_waiting221 [link] [comments]

No subtlety. No attempt to even hide it. Mnet is fully determined to shove Jun Min in your face. Don’t get me wrong. I think he’s a good trainee, but the way Mnet promotes him you’d swear this show is about him! Every ep has a whole 10-15 min segment dedicated to this guy. It’s crazy. Mnet is no stranger to promoting their faves, but this is crazy excessive!!! They’ve taken this guys rank all the way to the top! Anyway I’m over it. I want to watch B2P. Not the Kim Jun Min show submitted by /u/fostermonster555 [link] [comments]

Rewatching Laboum's MVs, and at same point even in the comebacks pre-Between Us Soyeon just catches my eye with her outfits. It's hard to describe... It's not in your face like in Mago; BAM suddenly Yuju is pole-dancing or Elris Sohee in Dance On. Are there other examples? i submitted by /u/letohorn [link] [comments]
tw/cw homophobia I'm honestly aiming at bigger companies for this discussion. Let's say, super big idol of super big group of super big company gets caught with someone of the same gender, clearly intimate with each other. Basically, a dating scandal but make it gay. I know Dispatch doesn't out people. But let's say, it still gets out on online forums. Will the bigger companies kick out said idol? If the idol gets kicked out, it basically means it's true, denoting homophobia which may lead to a huge loss of fans and then a boycott and then a dive in sales. So would the company even kick the idol out? Will they pay a huge sum of hush money that the said idol will have to fork out and pay over time? Or will the company just say nothing and do nothing, letting rumours subside and hide the idol under the radar for just a little while. Curious. Very, very curious. submitted by /u/Informal-Cod-1227 [link] [comments]

&TEAM and BOYNEXTDOOR are also under HYBE. BOYNEXTDOOR was even considered “flopping” (by K-pop stans’ standards) when they debuted, and it took them time to even reach 1M monthly listeners. &TEAM hasn't reach 1M till today. Now, let’s look at XLOV, who currently have around 1.7M monthly listeners, while P1Harmony have 1.4M. But XLOV isn’t from HYBE, so why is that? Because their songs are trending and people are actually listening to them. So why won’t K-pop stans say the same thing about Cortis, "their songs are trending" instead of “company privilege”? This isn't just a tiktok thing, i seen this discussions on other spaces as well submitted by /u/Cantname_stuff [link] [comments]
