Am I the only one feeling this way about how one member gets treated in SKZ? 😕

I used to not like kpop myself due to posts i used to see or tweets i used to see by the kpop stans. All they used to do was spread toxicity, hate on any other idol or group they did not stan. It hasnt changed much till now, infact it is more rampant nowadays. Kpop fans show virtue signalling when the idol or group in question isnt their own. They also bash idols for doing something that their own faves did in the past. The hypocrisy is insane. Some group fandoms cant see other groups succeed and they always need to make it about themselves when a group succeeds. Ex: my group did it before blabla when the post in question didnt mention their group. If they dont like a groups music they always need to remind people how bad their music is while not understanding people have different taste. Also i hate when they use the word sibling dynamic whenever a female idol and male idol interact, like they cant see their own idol having interest in someone. I became a fan in 2023 when i first listened to new jeans and really liked kpop. In general i just dont pay attention to these posts nowadays but it always angers me when i see them hating on groups for no reason. Some fandoms moreso than some. I know not all kpop fans are like this but the part of fans that are like this are very vocal. Sorry for the vent i just wanted to talk about this and see if others think like me. submitted by /u/No-Fox-5755 [link] [comments]

This thought just randomly came to me and I can’t think of any. I myself am vegetarian so I would be interested to know of any idols that are! Do you guys know vegetarian or even vegan idols? If yes, do you know for what reason they decided to become vegetarian or vegan? I imagine with a lot of their food being provided by venue catering, this could be a bit challenging in Korea! submitted by /u/hotterthanyou69 [link] [comments]

For years kpop fans have been using the excuse that a release is self produced if someone expresses dislike for it and I know self producing artists are held to a highet regard but I'm personally not bothered by non self produced albums. When I listen to an album I listen to the music, not the credits and while being self produced is definitely an achievement to be proud of it doesn't make up for a bad release. I would much rather listen to a good non self produced album than a bad self produced album. Obviously the fans and the groups itself are allowed to feel proud of their work but that doesn't mean everyone has to like it because it's self produced. Lastly, this isn't directed at anyone specifically,I'm referring to the self produced excuse I mentioned that I've seen kpop fans use over the years. In other words self produced doesn't equal good submitted by /u/Alive-Pitch-9180 [link] [comments]

Hey everyone, I’m a new Stay so maybe I’m just being sensitive or reading too much into things… but I’ve been watching SKZ Code episodes and some of their IG Lives and I honestly feel like one of the members doesn’t get treated as well as the others. Like… sometimes he wins a game or does something funny/cute and instead of focusing on him, they cut to other members’ reactions or just move on like nothing happened. Even in lives, it feels like he’s being ignored a bit? 😞 I don’t want to sound dramatic but it kind of makes me sad because he’s genuinely talented and cute af and deserves more love and attention. Is this just me? Or has anyone else noticed this too? I just wanted to talk about it and maybe understand better. No hate to any member obviously, I love them all—just sharing how I felt. 🥺💔 submitted by /u/Independent_Task1822 [link] [comments]

Pre 2018 K-pop had more identity - Groups had more unique sounds before K-pop became so globalized and Westernized. Self-producing idols are overhyped - Just because an idol writes lyrics or produces doesn't automatically make them better artists. Fandom culture is too toxic and competitive - Fan wars, streaming obsession, and sasaeng behavior make the K-pop experience stressful. Taemin is the best solo performer in K-pop history, he has that stage presence that most others can't match. Shotaro fits way better in riize than he did in NCT (Riize is 7 btw) 5th or 4th gen kpop is good - sure it has more flaws than the other gens but people just hate on it because they get caught up in nostalgia or because there favs just aren't as popular as they used to be. Han is the most talented member in Stray kids - no matter if it's vocal, rapping, songwriting, dancing, producing, he has it all and he deserves more recognition. The big 3 boy groups of 3rd gen are EXO, BTS, GOT7 - I love seventeen but they were a late bloomer, during 3rd gen (2012 - 2017) Got7 made way more noise and had more impact, seventeen started to get really popular in 2020. How You Like That is one of BLACKPINK’s weakest title tracks musically — its success was fueled more by hype than quality. They have way better songs. ITZY’s girl crush concept feels forced now - they need a mature rebrand before it becomes stale. So this were 10 unpopular opinions from me, hopefully i didn't offend to many people lol submitted by /u/Injeolmie_04 [link] [comments]

ok so i was listening to them back to back and i realized just how similar they were both very sensual songs with a minimal beat which puts focus on the amazing vocals enhancing the vocals and towards the end the beat fades and u just hear a line of sadness... also 4 members too frequently covered with clean simple smooth choreo anyways i was gonna make a poll but the app not working for me so comment down which one you prefer submitted by /u/Major-Specialist3658 [link] [comments]
