I've never posted on reddit before and usually avoid engaging in online drama but this situation is making me so mad I have to talk about it. For starters, I'm obviously a MOA. TXT is my ult group. I've been casually listening to them since their debut in 2019 but didn't become a hardcore fan until 2023 just after they released Freefall so it's been nearly 2 years. Needless to say, I adore them and their music and content helped me get through some really dark times. I used to casually listen to NWJNS a little too, long before the whole drama with ADOR happened. I sympathized with them at first and was rooting for them to succeed, even when the whole MHJ and HYBE drama was happening. However, the moment they spoke up in defense of her after she lost the case with HYBE is when they lost me. Let me also clarify that I am in no way a HYBE defender. I know the company has done some awful things. But MHJ has been making it her mission to make the lives of every other artist under HYBE hell, so it's a no brainer why I dislike her and also NWJNS for standing by her despite MHJ being a horrible person. Now onto the situation at hand. Recently, Soobin opened up during a live about how he and the other members of TXT endured physical abuse during their trainee days. It's horrible what happened to them, and MOAs are rightfully outraged and are posting about it on social media. I see the posts and open the comment section. What do I see? Bunnies flooding the comment section, seemingly taking this as some "gotcha" moment and saying that NWJNS were right all along about HYBE but no one believed them. What. The. F*CK?!?!?! The two situations are NOT comparable at all. First of all, NWJNS' claims of mistreatment have been disproven by court. Why? because they have no evidence. Absolutely none. This entire time all they've been doing is throw away baseless accusations with nothing to back it up, and talking about how "evil" HYBE is and how MHJ is their "saviour". They seem to think that their beloved former CEO is perfect and can do no wrong. If they had actual evidence that they were being mistreated and that the company was actively trying to sabotage them then I'd absolutely support them and be on their side. But all I see at the moment is privileged girls throwing a tantrum cause the company fired their favourite boss (Who is, btw, problematic). Don't even come at me with the "Hybe manipulated the courts" bs because there are many, many posts and videos of actual legal experts explaining why it would be ridiculous for Hybe to manipulate the courts and NWJNS never had a case to begin with. They're so hypocritical acting like they're champions against mistreatment while at the same time shamelessly supporting someone who has relentlessly bullied others. Second, even the claims they made barely even count as mistreatment and are not at all comparable to what TXT had to endure (A group being told to ignore them is comparable to physical abuse?? Really???) Not to mention BigHit and ADOR, while under the same subsidiary, are two completely different companies, and this all happened YEARS before HYBE and ADOR was even formed. They're also trying to claim that fans believe Soobin without a doubt because he's a man, while NWJNS are called liars because they're women. False. There is actual evidence that BigHit staff were abusive. Years ago there were old videos resurfacing of BigHit staff physically abusing BTS during their early days, so it's not a surprise they hit TXT too as trainees. There is ACTUAL proof to back up Soobin's story, unlike NWJNS. It's so insensitive and downright disrespectful for Bunnies to make this situation about them. Their mentality is so black and white they don't realize that just because both NWJNS and TXT talked about being mistreated doesn't mean their situations are at all the same. Anyways, that's the end of my rant. I just had to get this out of my chest. I wish Soobin and the rest of TXT nothing but the best and I hope they've healed from the trauma it has caused.
