I genuinely think Allday Project was a brilliant move. Many K-pop fans ā especially those who enjoy seeing male and female idols interact ā have been waiting for something like this. Mixed-gender groups are incredibly rare in K-pop, so there's definitely a lot of curiosity and excitement about how the dynamics will play out both on stage and in content. Straight ships have always been a big part of K-pop fandom culture too, and this kind of group naturally feeds into that interest. Itās clear the company is aware of this demand and is leaning into it. Overall, I wouldnāt be surprised if Allday Project ends up being a huge success just because itās tapping into something fans have been craving for a long time. What do you guys think? submitted by /u/Difficult-Loan-7249 [link] [comments]
In fiction fandoms, a headcanon is a scenario or event that does not actually happen on the page (for books) or on screen (for series or movies), but based on existing information, could have plausibly happened or could be inferred to have happened? For kpop, this would mean something you believe a member did or something that had happened to the group based on certain clues but isn't something any of the members have actually spoken about or was caught in film. I bring this up because Twice recently released a video that has Jeongyeon teaching Nayeon how to drive and now I firmly believe Jeongyeon had taught several other members how to drive too lol. My evidence are as follows: Jeongyeon surprisingly acts like a seasoned instructor. She knows how to simplify instructions for Nayeon, understands what she might not know, and is aware of many beginner mistakes that she gently corrects. She isn't flustered about how to teach driving either. Nayeon mentioned that people have told her that Jeongyeon "never gets mad and teaches super kindly". As she is saying that, the caption "member-exclusive driving instructor" is shown on the screen. Sometime later in the lesson, Jeongyeon then comments that of all the members, Nayeon is the most scaredy-cat when learning to drive. Even later than that, Jeongyeon mentions how the other members were super quiet and wouldn't talk at all when they were just learning how to drive. This is in contrast to Nayeon who was happily chatting away during the lesson. To be clear, neither Jeongyeon nor any of the girls have ever mentioned her teaching the other girls how to drive. We have also never seen her teach anyone driving until today. Based on above evidence however, I'm pretty confident she taught some of them lol. Now what are your headcanons? submitted by /u/BlueThePineapple [link] [comments]
Iāve never really been a fan of GOT7 and havenāt heard many of their songs yet, but I plan to listen to them later. My favourite person is BamBam he has a very positive energy heās friendly and funny, always making jokes. Heās such an interesting person! Honestly, I got a bit bored watching BTS members or Enhypen because they donāt share the same vibe as BamBam. About Felix from Stray Kids he feels like a comforting person who can inspire you to keep going. I really like his Australian accent; itās interesting to hear him speak like that. Also, his deep voice is really nice. Can you tell me more about their personalities? I want to get to know them better like what they like, their favorite foods, if they have pets, or any fun facts about them Taehyun from TXT also caught my attention. He seems really calm and thoughtful, but also has a playful side. I like how he shows different moods and vibes, which makes him interesting to watch I heard that he enjoys reading books and poetry I like to watch his vlogs are very interesting he tries different things like riding horse, reading books he also love poetry. I recently heard the new song Love Language by TXT, and I really like it! The song has a bright and cheerful vibe that feels fresh and fun. I heard it was inspired by their fans, which makes it even more special.TXT always tries new styles in their music, and this song shows a happy and positive side of them. Iām excited to listen to more of their songs and learn about their personalities. submitted by /u/IcyAirport4067 [link] [comments]

Iāve been watching Katseye lately, and I canāt help but feel like the group is overly sexualized , especially when it comes to their styling. A lot of their stage outfits look more like fashion statements than functional performance wear. Some even seem uncomfortable or impractical, especially when dancing or doing high-energy routines. I get that theyāre a global group and arenāt strictly bound to Korean cultural expectations or traditional K-pop standards. But theyāre still being promoted heavily in Korea and positioned within the K-pop industry, so I feel like thereās a disconnect. Itās disappointing, especially since K-pop groups are often praised for their balance of visuals, talent, and polished presentation. From what Iāve observed, Katseye leans more into the Western pop model and where sex appeal is often used as a core marketing strategy. Thatās not inherently bad, but it feels jarring in the K-pop space, where thereās usually more thought put into concept, cohesion, and even modesty in styling. I also wonder how much of it is the companyās decision versus the membersā own choices. Either way, it kind of sends a weird message when so much of their image seems built around being sexy rather than showcasing their artistry or individuality. Anyone else feel this? Or have different thoughts? submitted by /u/Hour_Virus_9083 [link] [comments]

Lately Iāve been noticing something kinda weird in the way people talk about idols. Like... anytime someone gets a lot of praise, maybe for their vocals, dancing, stage presence, or even visuals, thereās always this wave of comments trying to bring them down a little. Stuff like: āYeah, theyāre good⦠but itās all studio editing.ā āShe doesnāt really dance, she just flails her arms.ā āHeās only popular because heās handsome.ā āTheyāre overhyped. Nothing special tbh.ā It reminds me of something called the ātall poppy syndromeā; basically when someone starts standing out or succeeding, people try to cut them down so they donāt get ātoo big.ā Itās like we canāt stand seeing someone shine too brightly for too long. I feel like in K-pop this happens a lot, maybe because: Fandoms are super competitive. People see praise for one idol as an attack on their fave. Thereās this weird need to ābalanceā every compliment with a criticism. Some fans just get defensive when another idol gets too much attention. It kinda sucks, because it makes it hard to openly compliment someone without people jumping in with, āActually, theyāre midā takes. What do you think? submitted by /u/Seesawey [link] [comments]

I heard Sehun is getting discharged in a few months but CBX still has a lawsuit with SM. Realistically, once Sehun is out, will the group come back as Exo even with just five members? Or do fans have to wait a couple of years before CBX and SM reach a settlement? If so, how many years? I listen to Exo casually and while going through my 3rd gen playlist, I realized 3 out of the top 4 3rd gen groups are all gonna be active this year. BTS and BP will have a grand comeback and will tour while Twice is still very active. I look at Exo and feel bad. They were once this massive thing and while they're still popular they didn't get to capitalized on the Kpop boom during the pandemic the way these 3 groups did. But I still think they could have a resurgence but instead of just anticipation for their comeback after military service like BTS, fans have to think about the lawsuit. submitted by /u/Equivalent_Ad9125 [link] [comments]
Without fail, under every music video, the top comment is always "How many international fans are here to support artist xyz?" or a slightly changed variation of it, and it annoys me so much. Probably more than it should, if I'm being honest, but I can't help it. It's such a cheap way to beg for likes on your comment, and doesn't add anything to the discussion either. You could instead use this comment to praise the song, the video, or shaee your general thoughts, even why you maybe didn't like certain parts. Anything related to the song and/or the artist? But no, you just wanna farm likes. Do you wanna see how many fans like the song? Watch the like button, that's what it's there for! And it didn't bother me when I first saw it, but the more I realised that this comment is everywhere, the more it annoyed me, so now I'm here š That'll be all, thanks submitted by /u/No_Actuary6662 [link] [comments]
JYP might have mismanaged previous groups but you cannot deny that he (or the company) has a very good eye for talent. Their ex-idols now actors always kill it in their roles. I mean cāmon, thereās Lee Jun ho, Jinyoung, SUZY!! Lee Jun ho in Red sleeve š, absolutely amazing acting. He made his character so intense, I could almost feel the tension and weight of being a crown prince 10/10 Honestly, Jin young did not stand out to me until Unwritten Seoul. His acting has blown me away and he matches Park Bo young so well. Iām so impressed. And last but not the least, SUZY?!! My introduction to SUZY was Vagabond. I was blown out of the water, what an amazing actress. š still delulu and thinking thereāll be a second season. Who am I missing? submitted by /u/AquaAriesSag [link] [comments]

Theoretically, if we put the whole stigma aside, wouldnāt it be easier for gay idols to date? All the absurd scandals with fans looking for a reflection in a spoon are avoided. Want to go out for drinks? Good friends pictured during a restaurant/bar outing! Want to stay the night? Friends had a house party! Want to gift couple wear? These two good friends gifted each other bracelets, how cute! Especially considering how democratized skinship is among same-sex friends, holding hands and being touchy isnāt seen as weird. Iām not saying being gay is easy, but it for sure must be easier to avoid scandals and dispatch. submitted by /u/Extra-Ad3302 [link] [comments]
