I have been seeing this song from 2015 go viral on TikTok and Instagram. I just want people to know more about the people behind the musice, especially Choiza, Dynamic Duo’s rapper. Choiza (33) was in a public relationship with f(x) member, Sulli, who was 19 at the time of their relationship going public. Throughout their course of their public relationship (2014-2017), Sulli was subjected to intense scrutiny and slut-shaming. Instead of doing anything in his power to protect this young girl, he fanned the flames by talking very candidly about their lives on interviews and basically bragging about getting with a top female idol. As a last straw, he wrote a song called “Eat, Do it, Sleep.” Feel free to look up the lyrics translations. This led to even more cyber bullying for Sulli, which persisted even after their breakup and continued till she self-exited in 2019. I’m not saying Sulli is an angel and Choiza is the devil. But a 14-year age gap is an extreme power imbalance and he at least needed to be more protective of her and keep their private lives private. He just seemed more interested in bragging about who he was with. It makes me so sad to think that Sulli isn’t here with us anymore while this man continues to make royalties off of his viral song. I think at least people should know about his history, the man behind this song. It’s up to you on what you do with this information. Maybe a lot of you already know but I’m an old kpop fan and don’t even listen to much of the new stuff anymore. I am not sure if new kpop fans know about this, so I decided to make a post. submitted by /u/AbaloneRemarkable643 [link] [comments]

Ngl i’m not even sure if this is the right place but i just spent the last few days organising my k-pop girls playlist into alphabetical order and felt the need to share it for any freaks who love an organised playlist. The playlist has 800+ songs and is only songs that have MV’s (i’m going to alphabetise my b side playlist next!). Anyway sorry for how random this is. I’m just a nerd with no life who felt the need to bring the playlist to any others! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/40GsBUaafZD8mlE9wjqmbP?si=5Zj0uPvETMq1Li6jOo9L-Q&pi=ufKx931aSmWeK submitted by /u/JoliFatiguee [link] [comments]

Sorry I've been watching old Produce 101 clips and I feel sad. I.O.I. was only around for less than a year and disbanded almost eight years ago but god I miss them. They never had the chance later Produce groups got to establish themselves, they barely even had a chance to promote with all members present, but they were still such an unbelievable group. Their lineup had it all - talent, visuals, personality - and I truly believe if they were a permanent group they would have been one of the greats. It pains me to see them slowly be forgotten and I can't help but think about what it would have been like if they got the same kind of time and quality songs that the later Produce groups had. They could have been so much more. submitted by /u/Nixon4Prez [link] [comments]

From when I first got into kpop 7 years ago to now, I’ve refrained from commented/posting really anything about it just because I don’t care to. But I was recently watching a video called Music Criticism is Dead and it really encouraged me to say my opinions on a song or album from the artists I like. If everyone forces themselves to like their fav artist’s music and only say good things about it even if they don’t actually like it, the music may never pivot back to something that’s good and only continue to get worse and worse. If you kindly and maturely give areas you liked about it and areas you think it could’ve been better, there’s a chance the company/artists will see that and make a change! It doesn’t have to be mean, it doesn’t have to mean your favorite artist sucks, things can be nuanced it doesn’t have to be either the best thing ever made or the worst garbage on planet earth. And you can express these opinions maturely. Of course these are obvious basic things but I never really thought about it so I just wanted to encourage everyone to comment their true feelings about their favorite artists rather than pretending to like it to support them. You’re not truly supporting them if you’re lying or forcing yourself to like the music. If you love something, you only want it to get better. I really want to encourage people to not just comment “this sucks” or “NUMBER ONE VISUAL IN KPOP” under music videos but maybe give thoughtful comments on the music. submitted by /u/anonymous_human174 [link] [comments]
