I had a previous GF who was I suspect was jealous that I was a fan of particular idol. A few years later, I married now and I am a little bit afraid to make it known that I am a fan of the same idol or any idol in particular. My wife knows about kpop but not a crazy fan. Anyone else have that issue, and feel hesitant about letting their partner know your personal obsession (maybe too strong of a word), strong hobby? I do see that a lot of Kpop fans who have partners who are also kpop fans tend to be more supportive and understanding. submitted by /u/kirsion [link] [comments]
Doesnβt have to be a meaningful song, just a song that makes you feel warm and at peace submitted by /u/whoarre [link] [comments]

Now, before yall start with the "hes a main vocalist" or lead vocalist, he's not. Enhypen had no positions. Belift acts like it. Now secondly. I wouldn't care if he was onto of every line distribution, just please close the gap 4s or around that between 1st and 7th. In Still monster, he sings the whole song. But Jungwon (7th) gets 11.4. Now im a engene, i support everyone in the group, and I just woke we got more even lines. But please share your opinion submitted by /u/IfwNJZ [link] [comments]

Okay so a very unserious rant here and i just need to get this off my chest. I used to be a huge super junior fan because I genuinely enjoyed their music and i was still a baby kpop fan(think i had only been into kpop for three years at that point and never bothered to look into the artistβs past). But eventually i found out about everything and immediately i took them off my spotify. And it would be one thing if i could just take them off my spotify and not listen again like i did with kiof, but the issue is their music is insanely good. Like i regularly get itβs you, super clap, 2yao, mr simple, mamacita, devil and u stuck in my head and itβs so annoying because theyβre such bad people but the music slaps. And i canβt even separate the artist from the art BECAUSE I FEEL GUILTY WHEN I PIRATE. NOT EVEN BECAUSE IβM PIRATING BUT BECAUSE IβM LISTENING TO SUPER JUNIOR. So i litterally donβt even know what to do here. submitted by /u/Wildfire_0703 [link] [comments]
For me it has to be "Secret Secret"....Honestly, Secret Secret from NOEASY is one of SKZβs most underrated songs. The lyrics are heartbreaking yet comforting at the same time, and the way they deliver each line feels so raw and emotional. It really captures that feeling of carrying things silently, keeping pain hidden while wanting someone to notice. The vocals are absolutely stunning! Seungmin and INβs soft tones, Hanβs emotional delivery, and the overall atmosphere give me chills every time. Itβs such a different side of Stray Kids that we donβt always get to see, and thatβs why it feels so special. I just wish this track had gotten more love during promotions. Even one live stage or a small MV would have highlighted how beautiful it is. Instead, it feels like a hidden treasure only Stays know about, and sometimes I think it deserved to reach more people outside the fandom. For me, Secret Secret is a late-night comfort song, but also one that makes you reflect on your own emotions. Itβs one of those b-sides that shows just how versatile SKZ are... not just loud/hype, but also deeply vulnerable and poetic... Curious to know what yβall think, which hidden gem do you wish got promoted more? submitted by /u/LunaVixen7 [link] [comments]
For girl groups I'd say ifeye or fiftyfifty, or kiss of life, their discography is the best excluding the big 4,for bg I'd say xikers, literally SO underrated, idk if they they count but also zb1 submitted by /u/hearts4him_ [link] [comments]
βββββββββββββββββ Hey Everyone, I hope you all had a great week. I know my week was fantastic, as some of my favorite artists returned with new projects that swept the week away in anticipation. Autumn is approaching in 15 days, which is hard to believe we are already moving into that season. Today we are doing a special episode cause not much was released this week outside of albums. In this episode, Iβll be shuffling my 2010s kpop playlist and reviewing five songs that come on as a bit of a throwback. Now letβs jump into the music and see what the songs are. βββββββββββββββββ https://preview.redd.it/23m66tpcwyof1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e7e3fc499d00aeacb09ffe8eee281eeb641a8919 Other Korean Releases of the Week: μλκΈ° - Oh My Girl The first song to come on shuffle is "Shower" by Oh My Girl, from their studio album called The Fifth Season, released in 2019. Synths open up the track, bringing in a magical synth-pop vibe that works perfectly with the group's smooth vocals. I remember the chorus as it kept pulling me back for more that year. The hook does have strings that add to the overall vibe the producers crafted. The Fifth Season album was a project I remember being obsessed with in 2019, and I recommend you check it out if you have never heard it. If you are not familiar with Oh My Girl, then I recommend you check out their old stuff from 2015-2019, cause all of that music slaps. https://preview.redd.it/qnvn3vynwyof1.jpg?width=1900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8421c7e9252e1343b2065726b670517bc0401e6d βββββββββ βββββββ κ·Έ μμ μ°λ¦¬κ° μ¬λνλ μ°λ¦¬ (Beautiful Days) - Lovelyz The second song to come on shuffle is the title track for the 6th mini album from Lovelyz. Lovelyz debuted in 2014, quickly becoming one of my favorite groups. Beautiful Days has that innocent sound with a funky instrumental that fits the smooth and sweet vocals like crazy. I do remember the hook growing on me that year, as I wasnβt a fan of it the first time hearing it. Beautiful Days was released the same year as the Oh My Girl album Fifth Season. Lovelyz did go on Queendom before releasing their final album in 2020, which was pretty sad to see. I still return to the group's music as it feels like a blast from the past and a group that will always have a special place in my heart. https://preview.redd.it/6i9zgoouwyof1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d48585f4e17a5b320688b74eb3d7c82ee1ff97de βββββββββ βββββββ κ΄νλ¬Έμμ At Gwanghwamun - Kyuhyun For the third song, weβre switching up the vibe and going back to 2014 with the title track for Super Junior member Kyuhyunβs debut solo project. The piano crafts this beautiful melody that blends with the beautiful vocals Kyuhyun brings to the table. You can feel the emotion from his singing that impressed me the first time I heard it. 2014 was my first year in Kpop, and Kyuhyun quickly became one of my favorite singers. Kyuhyun released a Chinese version in 2014, which hits as hard as the original, and we also have a Japanese version, which he included on his 2017 Japanese album. Each time I return to this song, it takes me back to 2014, a time in my life filled with wonder and discovery since I found Kpop for the first time. https://preview.redd.it/sk208ry0xyof1.jpg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=53c5d89609a22bff8777101fc4a7e1884fc9e9c4 βββββββββ βββββββ λͺ©μ리 - RM In 2015, RM released his first mixtape under his stage name Rap Monster, and I remember people going crazy over it. A piano opens up as RM delivers a smooth rap, opening up the mixtape perfectly. Slow Rabbit is the producer for the album's opener, working perfectly with RMβs rapping tone. RM does a great job showcasing his rap skills that helped him rise to the top. We do get moments of RM singing on the track, which switches things up a few times. I find this to be a beautiful opener to the record as it was released 1 month before I fully became a BTS fan. https://preview.redd.it/eea6iz56xyof1.jpg?width=1165&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d36fc6a7c9cd6e49f1a61c08bd3b8b3a55fed4c6 \βββββββββ βββββββ λ§μ§λ§ μ¬λ Last Love (Wendy Solo) - Red Velvet This week, Wendy of Red Velvet returned with a new mini album, but did you know she had a solo song in 2017 on a Red Velvet project? The solo goes for this ballad that fits the vocals from Wendy perfectly. Wendy has. always had an inctretible voice. The emotion from the singerβs voice fits wonderfully with the instrumental that I remember listening to a lot in 2017. Red Velvetβs 4th mini album has some killer B-sides, and this Wendy solo is one of the excellent tunes. I feel like this is the first time we got to see a Red Velvet member sing solo on an album, and one that a lot of people might have forgotten about. https://preview.redd.it/ad5jv7ygxyof1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=65545cc57ad4c356ff587d9bae1e907b676a9ad2 βββββββββ βββββββ Weekly Lastfm Roundup (September 5th - September 11th) Artist: Twice https://preview.redd.it/fodisy3mxyof1.jpg?width=985&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4007c4ba7cec09ecc7051b3cc12ad4518ab1d110 βββββββββ βββββββ Album: Swag II - Justin Bieber https://preview.redd.it/3kzldtbrxyof1.jpg?width=2000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e927b923d2a055612719b86620567f77a58e912 βββββββββ βββββββ Song: Enemy - Twice https://preview.redd.it/ja0q2vjlxyof1.jpg?width=2000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fcb98a1e61305d9cd43be88dcb386093fac3b5a3 submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]

Hi all, Usually I see the Japanese releases always have wayyy lower streams on Spotify than the regular Korean comebacks, so I wanted to make this post for us to share some of the Japanese releases we love but are insanely underrated! For the young people here who donβt remember: Jennifer Lopez went viral for wearing that dress, and seeing that photo of her such a cultural reset, some people came up with the idea of using a depository to search for images on the internet, and thus Google Images was invented. Years later, it has become a big trivia that before Jennifer Lopez wore that dress, Spice Girlβs Geri Halliwell did too, she just did not have the same reception, because the overall cut and color just suited JLo better. So whatβs the Kpop equivalent of this? submitted by /u/andwhatnowthough [link] [comments]
Recently in his concert (Jay Park), He introduced his new boy group LNGSHOT, pronounced Long Shot under his company More Vision, The groupβs lineup consists of four members which are Woojin, Louis, Oyul and Ryul. Their debut is not earlier than 2026. What do you think about this? Iβm excited personally for the group because Jay Park is talented and i love his music. r/LNGSHOT is the subreddit for LNGSHOT! submitted by /u/Jolly_Peace_890 [link] [comments]

We've seen a rise in 4th-gen groups actively participating in music production, such as 3RACHA from Stray Kids or Hongjoong and Mingi from ATEEZ, which is an exciting shift in the industry. Recently, groups like CORTIS brought a new landscape in kpop scene, engaging not only in music creation but also in choreography, visual direction, and overall artistic planning. This kind of holistic involvement is relatively new in K-pop. While it's inspiring to see young idols take creative control, I do wonder about the potential long-term impact of such intense responsibility at a young age. It could lead to burnout or creative fatigue, especially if support systems aren't in place. Iβm curious how sustainable this concept is, will it evolve over time, or might it fade as the group matures or industry demands change? Personally, I feel that while these artists bring fresh energy and new ideas, having input from more experienced professionals can really elevate their work. Experience often adds depth and perspective that takes time to develop, and a good balance between innovation and expertise could be key to long-term success. submitted by /u/Abitcommentfromme [link] [comments]

Every time K-pop companies want to promote in the West they always go to shows; Todayβs Show, GMA, The Kelly Clarkson show etc when known US acts donβt even promote on there as much. In Korea, shows like Music Bank, Inkigayo etc are known for promotions for Korea and it works but in the US itβs a whole different ball game. But K-pop companies are one of the main ones that treat the US as a secondary promotional base by adopting similar promotional strategies like they do in Korea (they also do it for Japan). When British acts pivot towards the western audience they do so when they hit big here, meanwhile K-pop companies think dropping a english song will work when in reality your only promoting to the K-pop fanbase that was there already, they also throw in random collabs in the midst of promoting the single as a promotional strategy as well. They need to approach it differently, TikTok is a gold mine for pushing a song to go viral in the west (ex: look at Zara Larson Midnight Sun going viral everywhere because of her opening for Tate Mcrae) , collabing with known brands and using it as promo to push the song is a great start, for example lsfm collabed with Overwatch and every time you log into the game Perfect Night played, while they performed in Korea for a short amount of time and then their viral moment at the Lakers game thatβs when the song started to kick off fully then they promoted it in western shows. It pains me to see SM do old habits that just donβt work, marketing here is their weakest point, song choice and concept is a really good branding to start, they need to look at how Jennie and Rose promoted their solo albums here, even Katseye did their first roll out amazing, they did a mini concert to showcase their Debut mini and did perfs at malls. Idk to me companies are wasting lackluster promotional strategies instead of actually using their time and resources to fully study how acts promote in the west, because to me there only studying how other K-pop companies promote their groups in the US when they need to do their research on previous famous boy bands/girl bands. submitted by /u/Simmibrina00 [link] [comments]
