In another thread, there was a talking point that the story about JK's hat wasn't posted in any of the main threads. I thought that was curious and decided to see why. I posted the Soompi article in the main KPOP thread (since they are very particular as to the news sites you source) and in less than 30 minutes, my post received multiple violations for violating their guidelines so they had to take it down for review. Even though I followed the title guidelines and even though it was from one of the sources they accept and even though it included the statement from JK. I then received the following message as to why it was in violation: "Thank you for submitting to r/kpop! Unfortunately, your post has been removed for the following reason(s): Social Media Drama Policy: We do not allow posts that are purely generated by fan drama on social media platforms. Examples include fanwars, fans making demands of companies or artists, speculation about artist/staff behavior, online personalities creating disparaging content about K-Pop or fans, or anything like 'netizens are angry about..." Mods may allow a post if an official statement from an artist or company becomes available about a significant issue." I guess him wearing propaganda on a hat isn't too much of a significant issue? We can say it wasn't a big deal, that the hat was just a meme, but he did fee like it was a big deal enough to issue an apology... And they say double standards don't exist. submitted by /u/InfiniteFisherman39 [link] [comments]
Boy group choreo tends to be athletic and demanding where girl group choreo is somewhere between hairography, cute winks, and hip sways. To me, it’s misogynistic girl choreo is generally weak because I KNOW some female idols wish they could do and show off more. In your opinion, which female idol would fit right into the physicality of boy groups? I’ll start with Momo from Twice. All of her dance challenges with guys have been killer. She has said, at least twice (no pun intended), she finds it frustrating she’s not allowed more opportunities for more complex dancing. I’m also going to say Jihyo because her energy is ALWAYS at 11 and she’s just overall an athletic person. I lowkey want to say Moonbyul, as well. Personally I think it's twice. All of their Japanese releases are amazing like doughnut, hare hare and perfect world. Their English releases are great too like the feels and scientist submitted by /u/baldism [link] [comments]

(VERY sorry in advance if this dream does happen to be offensive/hateful, for the record, I know a dream like this is super unrealistic/not to happen and any events in that dream wouldn't be real irl) I had a dream about 2 months back that Stray Kids (a really popular Kpop group) converted to Judaism and they (along with their rabbi) were deep fried by Eitan Bernath (this.. "chef" who just deep fries a lot of crap like gummy worms and air fried spaghetti o's, who happens to be Jewish as well) while attending a bar mitzvah of my ex's little brother (he's actually not even 6 yet irl so he's not of age to be bar mitzvahed) and I was forced to watch Innocent Rabbi and Stray Kids being deep fried cus i was kidnapped by "Mordechai" my homeboy's cousin (both "Mordechai" and "homeboy" are jewish via their same maternal grandmother, however "homeboy"'s dad is korean) and then JYP bashed up Eitan Bernath outside of a Target carpark and Eitan was singing "Why you mad why you sad why you tick tick tick" and "man im not sorry im dirty, keep on talking we dont play by the rules" (both of them are lyrics to Stray Kids' "Thunderous" their 2021 song) submitted by /u/Minute_Ice_7434 [link] [comments]

Okk soo I was looking to see if anyone else felt the same way and couldn’t really find anyone but, I’m a fan of boynextdoor and overall just enjoy watching random idol content but i’ve tried to watch a couple pink cabinet episodes and I truly believe that she is just not a good interviewer , a lot of times i like the questions and conversations but she seems to be incredibly shy , so without a co host watching it feels a bit slow or uncomfortable at times, even when she has guests on that are known for being lively in interviews. This is just my perspective coming from someone that doesn’t know much about her as a person but solely looking at her from an interviewer standpoint, she’s still absolutely adorable , I just think a co-host would be great for the overall vibes . Anyways lmkkk thoughts or some other interviews to try … submitted by /u/Few_Assumption_1968 [link] [comments]
