There are some groups, though, that i've only listened to title tracks. submitted by /u/MarianaSant [link] [comments]
I can't believe people above the age of 12 actually believe that two very successful members are mistreated by their companies. Just like Jisoo being literally a Dior Princess and people actually think she's being mistreated, when is just PR. Is very common companies doing this whenever members are being the less "Popular" or simply to avoid their scandals portraying them as "Victims" so people feel bad for them and start being more a HARDCORE fan. With Giselle, I think they do specifically this with her because of past "scandals" that we all know, but also think is since her face is changing all the time because of weight loss and cosmetics, SME. is really trying to portray her as the "Victim with no bad", doing her bad in Red Carpets giving her the most basic outfits or not giving her more actual raps rather than just throwing words fast. And I don't think it's because she's japanese like most people say, when SM always had more hatred towards Chineses so... Idk And with Manon, since the very beginning of Katseye people had a pet peeve with her because the HYBE had the brilliant idea to throw Dream Academy Doc and all we saw was Manon being inexperienced and irresponsible with the production and the girls. Although it served us some good sht, 99% of the time Manon was being portrayed and a spoiled brat who was paying her way to it. It happened right with "Debut", the whole internet was saying Manon was being mistreated. Which let's be honest, girl is rich and could say "Bye hoes" so her staying and actually trying to get into stardom is what makes to me. She's not incredible, but she's very good and seems very determined to show us what she have. I hate when companies think they need to put that one specific member as the "Victim". Is basically saying "You are not that talented" or in some cases "You're trouble, so since we can't fire you and we don't take accountability, let's give you more horrible fits and less lines and call it a day." submitted by /u/Kraseyii [link] [comments]
So Billboard just released their Best K-Pop Songs of 2025 (So Far). The rankings are determined by their expert critics, and the number 1 spot was none other than Jennie's Like Jennie. I kind of expected it before diving into the list and wasn’t surprised at all when I saw it at the top. The song is a bop in every sense of the word. It went viral from dance challenges (one of the best choreos for sure!) to topping the charts both domestically and globally. 2025 has absolutely been Jennie’s year! Well deserved! Also, the MV is incredible, do check it out if you missed it! The number 2 spot went to NMIXX’s High Horse! This one was a pleasant surprise for me. It was one of the very few b-sides selected in the entire Top 25 ranking, and while I was already aware of just how good the song was, I certainly didn’t anticipate it ranking as high as number 2. But hey, I’m not complaining! It’s one of the best songs I’ve ever heard in K-pop, and I highly recommend everyone give it a listen if you haven’t! Congrats to NMIXX! There's no official MV for the song but there is a jaw dropping stage practice for this track where the group delivers raw live vocals along with a beautiful choreography. It's a MUST watch for everyone! The number 3 spot belongs to ATEEZ’s Lemon Drop. I feel like this song is their best release in recent years and I've been enjoying it on my playlist recently! It’s a vibey summer jam and feels perfect for driving with the windows down on a nice weather day. The only thing I'd nitpick (this is just my opinion) is that while I do agree it belongs in the top 25, I personally wouldn’t have placed it as high number 3 on this list. Here's the MV of the song! Back to back summer vibe tracks! Number 4 went to H1-KEY’s Summer Was You. A lot of you might be unfamiliar with the song since H1-KEY isn’t a super popular group, but it’s a really great summer song. If you’re a fan of that QWER type, anime-coded sound, you’ll probably really enjoy this one. The climax of the song is so good! Check out their MV as well. It deserves more than just a million views! Another soloist made the top 5, and it was Mark’s 1999. This is easily my favorite track from him. I love the orchestra. And I love the whispery chorus followed by those playful rap verses. This song really solidified his identity as a solo artist in my mind, and I’m looking forward to what he puts out next. Great song! The viral ballet challenge is hilarious. I still can't believe this is the version everyone remembers lol There were also 3 rookie groups that made the list, including ALLDAY PROJECT’s Famous, KickFlip’s Umm Great, and Close Your Eyes’ All My Poetry. Congrats to the rookies on their strong debut! I’ll include the rest of the ranking here. I know rankings in general are super subjective, even when they’re put together by professional critics. But I genuinely liked this list (and as a MIDZY, I'm so glad Yeji made the ranking as well). Sure, there were some songs I thought deserved a spot, but that’s not to say this list was bad by any means. I really appreciate that they dug deep and highlighted some hidden gems from less popular groups. It’s truly awesome to see music like that get recognition on a platform like Billboard. What do you guys think? I'd like to hear your thoughts on the list! submitted by /u/Carelessies [link] [comments]
I've wondering if this is happening to other people but I remember at least 2-3 years ago my youtube algorithm was recommending so many kpop groups comebacks that I haven't watched, and it was fun to discover new artists or keep up artists you listened to before when they release a new album , but now I get none of that and although I don't use YouTube like I used to I still use it everyday, now it only shows me mvs I already watched but never a mv from other groups and tbh my YouTube recommendations just sucks overall even non music stuff Idk if it's just me or it's just a change in their algorithm submitted by /u/3rcha [link] [comments]
As the title says; do you listen to the OSTs of the members who sing on them from your favorite group? For me not really, I'm not really interested in OSTs of movies I probably won't see so I probably won't know the context. The only solos I pay attention to are if they're official releases like a solo mini etc. submitted by /u/jdpm1991 [link] [comments]

Please delete if this kind of post is not allowed!! I have a TON of albums to sell and I don’t know what to do with them. I have lost all motivation to try to sell them online, it’s so much work. My parents are having a garage sale…theoretically if you came across albums at a sale would you be more interested in ones sold separately for 2-3$ each or a whole box of random ones for like $25 per box? Also the same with photocards, each sold separately or a set of several for a set price? Thanks!! submitted by /u/Gyeommi [link] [comments]
So in my last post I hurt some feelings and I want to listen to your favorite groups and your favorite songs from them. I will listen to them while I work and update y’all on what I think. I’m open to change my opinion on groups. I’m honestly looking forward to this!!! submitted by /u/D666GOD [link] [comments]
hOOOLY DELUSIONAL BATMAN. i made one post on tiktok and now bunnies are SWARMING ME. its a bunch of 12 year olds convinced theyre going to win the suit, leave hybe and make a new company with MHJ or something of the like. the level of obsessed this takes is just. wild. part of me does feel really bad for the girls because they are still young and were probably very manipulated by MHJ and therefore didn't fully know what they were getting into, but the rest of me is like. it takes a certain level of ego to not only try to sue for mistreatment, continually fail to provide evidence, lie on multiple other girl groups' names all while continually lying to the public about caring for them. if they had provided evidence or even some kind of story about mistreatment at HYBE, this would be different. but god its really all just about mhj. they are cooked i fear. so sad. submitted by /u/wrenegade1 [link] [comments]

Ok, like is it only me or the speculation of idol's sexual orientations and/or romantic relationships is getting extremelyyyyy annoying and invasive??!! Like ALOT of ppl have been hating on the relatively recent group xlov for allegedly "queerbaiting" but like.....I thought music was supposed to be a form of self expression lmao. And even if they're not like actually queer, why can't ppl just let them be like ig don't listen to their music them if you can't stand their "femininity" ig lol submitted by /u/aineez9 [link] [comments]

l’ve been listening to these groups a lot lately and it’s wild how good their music is — like, really good. It makes me wonder if the lack of promo from their companies held them back, or if the goal was never to push them musically in the first place. Either way, their discographies deserve way more attention than they got. Curious if anyone else feels the same or has other groups they’d add. MAMAMOO – Vocal queens with a stacked discography and versatility across jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and pop. NMIXX – Bold, experimental tracks with crazy vocal technique. Their music isn't safe — and that's the point. the members are crazy talented, with some of the most unique vocal tones and ranges in 4th gen. The potential is insane if it’s used right. fromis_9 – Breezy, tightly produced pop. No reason songs like DM or Stay This Way shouldn’t have been bigger. DREAMCATCHER – Carved their own lane with rock-based K-pop. Consistent, cinematic, and deeply underrated. ONF – Boy group pick: their synth-heavy, emotionally charged pop should’ve hit way harder. Beautiful Beautiful and We Must Love are gems. GWSN – Ethereal soundscapes, incredible b-sides, and one of the cleanest girl group discographies in recent memory. CLC – They gave us edgy bangers (Hobgoblin, No, Devil) and still got sidelined. A true case of mishandling, not lack of talent. submitted by /u/Xchosenz [link] [comments]
Lo-Fi’s been my top genre I’ve listened to the past couple years. But it’s something I haven’t really heard much in K-Pop. Personally, I count V’s Love Me Again and Rainy Days as songs that do lean towards Lo-Fi. I think Jazz Bar by Dreamcatcher also blends into that sphere. I appreciate y’all recommending any songs from any group, small or big, that are lo-fi or close to it. submitted by /u/New-Pattern-5998 [link] [comments]
She just keeps getting better! With the trailer for Twice’s Japanese album dropping today and Jihyo having both narration and visual direction credits, and the This Is For tour clips circulating of her performing all out as usual, it really has me wondering…who would stand a chance against her in a head-to-head “All Things Kpop” tournament? Vocals? Check. Variety? Check. Songwriting? Check. Stage presence? Check. Dance? Check. Leader? Check. Visuals? Check. Album direction? Check. Genuinely curious of your thoughts! Might find someone new to stan along the way :) submitted by /u/micdoesreddit [link] [comments]
omg! another post about blackpink hate! but no am i the only one who feels like it’s getting out of hand…? specifically on tiktok. i know twitter, that’s never gonna change but i don’t think i’ve seen a group get this much hate on an app before. like wdym an account with over a million followers is out here posting this. it’s weird. like genuinely. idk i feel like it’s just being blown way over proportion. megan from katseye appeared in a tiktok recently too dancing to jump and someone deadass said in the comments they were hoping it’d be blackpink shade…😭 idk. like what even is the crime? being a little off sync? standing still for 3 seconds out of a 3 hour show? i saw them in la. they sing live (a lot more than other groups but that’s neither here nor there), they dance the choreo, they still interact with fans and keep the audience hype. i’m genuinely not seeing what’s causing these people to burn them like witches at the stake. submitted by /u/Outrageous-Ad7806 [link] [comments]
