I wanted to make a list cause I'm missing Astro and wanted to see which other groups have done the Soda concepts so this is just for fun to see how many I could list out. Astro concept being soda bottles - from Breathless, Baby and into Candy Sugar Pop Younite - Fizzy Soda Love TWS - Sparkling Blue Blitzers - S.O.D.A. (a song they did for peaktime that I really like) Exo - Cream Soda (I wouldn't say this is cute but it counts to me) Txt - Blue Orangede Jpop edition: Naniwha Danshi - Soda Pop Love Icex - Koi-Soda Wild Blue - Bubbles and Pop šŸ‘€ I feel like I'm definitely missing some. If you want you can give me girl group ones too I think my favorite from that would be Bubble Up from Rocket Punch šŸ¤” but there is a lot! submitted by /u/starsformylove [link] [comments]

Very hard and unsympathetic to the casual listener / player but if you love them, you know it. Like. dark foreboding lore everywhere you look. Minimal attempt to explain said lore. To the online wikis you go true to concept, laughs off attempts to be more mainstream protagonist is somehow a castaway or "tarnished" on some sort of revenge quest very long MVs/boss fights that you're really not intended to get on the first try. Whether you like them pretty much comes down to how you feel about not getting something the first try. online fandom will help you up to a point before just saying you're on your own / "git gud" submitted by /u/abyssazaur [link] [comments]

1.525. What K-pop merch would you buy even if you don’t stan the group?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’d like to buy MEOVV's MY EYES OPEN VVIDE album (Jelly Paw version) just for the cat paw-shaped key rings. They're squishy and adorable. As a cat lover, I really want them. I'd also like to buy OH MY GIRL's Nonstop album (Chance and Quest version) because they are designed after board games. The albums come with a poster that looks like a board game, along with a randomly selected playing piece featuring one of the members. submitted by /u/mirroway [link] [comments]

What did you think of Yugyeom comeback? I've always loved his music; it's the style I love. I haven't heard the album yet, so I can't say which are my favorite B-sides. I loved it! submitted by /u/Separate-Comedian-25 [link] [comments]

1.527. Photographer repurposing concept, sets and props, or company blatantly copying?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I'm not one to jump to plagiarism accusations easily, but this appeared on my timelines and my fellows moas are *pissed* and, honestly, I can't blame them. This is either a case of a. a photographer recycling a concept he had already done, down to the same angles, poses and props (you can see in the 2nd and 3rd pic that's the same fridge with the same exact scuff marks; 4th and 5th pics show that it's the same photographer being credited for both); or b. Starship going out of their way to hire a photographer and a creative director who had previously worked with TXT (Rakta, cd for this photoshoot, was TXT's cd for years) to create an eerily similar concept. Honestly, both options seems pretty unprofessional, and the situation leaves a bad taste in my mouth cause Panic was Beomgyu's personal project and gift to moa he had created after going through a rough period, and having it disrespected this way is kinda sad. Add to it that SM also did an eerily similar concept as Yeonjun's mixtape for one of their bgs, so this isn't even the first time TXT's own concepts get copied... idk it's annoying. submitted by /u/Expecto-Morghulis [link] [comments]

1.529. Can ILLIT have one second of peace? Their hate train over *redacted* just barely ended and now they're getting dragged again simply because people can't praise Youngseo/ALLDAY PROJECT without taking shots at them. The way K-pop fans treat these literal minors is absolutely insane.

  • 2 weeks ago schedule

I’m so sick of this. ILLIT can’t even exist without getting dogpiled for something. The hate train over NWJNS just barely cooled off, and now they're getting dragged again just because people can’t praise Youngseo or ALLDAY PROJECT without throwing in some unnecessary ILLIT slander. What does one have to do with the other? It’s wild how K-pop fans think it’s normal to treat teenage girls like public enemy #1 over company decisions they had zero control over. These idols are minors. Literal kids. And yet people online feel no shame tearing them apart every time they trend. It’s performative outrage mixed with straight-up bullying, and somehow y’all keep pretending it’s ā€œcriticism.ā€ But you'll be camping in the next post about how the K-pop industry needs to stop debuting minors!! You can uplift one group without tearing another down especially when the ā€œanotherā€ is made up of young girls who did nothing but debut under the wrong company in your eyes. The way y’all project your weird beef with the industry onto these kids is actually disgusting submitted by /u/thebarted [link] [comments]

1.530. Your most silly yet controversial Kpop opinion?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I feel like controversial/hot-take Kpop opinions are commonplace on forums such as these, but I want to know your silliest one, one that most people don't actually really care about, or it's so ridiculous that someone has probably never thought of it before. I'll go first: I don't think aegyo is cringe and I will die on this hill defending it. I think to westerners, the concept of aegyo is just really jarring, and sometimes I see people make think pieces on its usage like every other day. However, as someone who has learned Korean up to a very high B2 level... I get it now. And I love it. And whenever my favorite Kpop idols type using aegyo it's like my favorite thing in the whole world. It's whimsy and fun. I will NEVER be an aegyo hater! submitted by /u/Lost-Opinion3554 [link] [comments]

1.533. Why I think Itzy is not doing as well as the beginning

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This is my first time posting, I usually just read them. However, with every Itzy comeback, people always say that their downfall is because of etc. reasons, but no one says the biggest thing that I notice. The biggest thing I think is their dance/choreography, it’s beautiful and nice choreo but no one seems to be inspired to learn their dance. Examples being that after sneakers, like Cheshire and cake still was popular among people because of the dance. I think the dance to the chorus plays a major part in boosting a groups song regardless of if the song is spectacular or good, an example being that everyone didn’t like gnarly but the choreography and stage performance made everyone change their minds. I think JYPE as a company is majorly lacking in making addicting choreo that people want to dance to. Groups like nmixx, stray kids, etc was popular among people Because of the songs and the choreo with dice, lmlt boosting their songs or even with stray kids I was always getting recommended their dances even when I just started listening to K-pop. I think their choreo is not as good as other companies to catch a large audience that plays Kpop because of the dance. I think with gold and girls with be girls and even their untouchable era, the dances to these songs were just not good enough to attract more people. But idk know what do you guys think? submitted by /u/NoInteraction6197 [link] [comments]

1.539. Non east asian celebs who resemble your fave idol(s)

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

On twitter there is this trend going on after someone qrted a picture of Ariana and Cynthia Erivo sitting together looking similar to each other saying how people "dont see similar facial features beyond color" and as a reaction many started to qrt the tweet with pictures of their fave idol with a non east asian celebrity who resembled them such as Twice Nayeon and Chloe Bailey for instance and I found those posts quite amusing. Since lately the only korean group i care about is Day6 given my interest in kpop has somewhat faded away for me I feel like- Wonpil looks quite similar to actor Robert Sean Leonard when the latter was a young man, especially when he was in Dead Poets Society. They both have quite similar facial features. I also feel that Sungjin looks a bit like John Lennon during the early days of Beatles. Ik its kinda controversial given how much of a prick lennnon was but it has nothing to do with this Tell me your opinions. submitted by /u/Dirori2001 [link] [comments]

1.540. Why many K-pop groups and idols still skips Vietnam when going on Asian tours?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Vietnam has one of the largest K-pop fanbases, and is also among the strongest developing countries in the world, with a decent GDP per capita (FYI, higher than Philippines). We have also successfully hosted and sold out multiple K-pop concerts and festivals like BLACKPINK, 2NE1, Winner, Super Junior, Baekhyun (EXO), and lately, BABYMONSTER, and even the upcoming festival with G-Dragon as headliner, which has 40,000 tickets sold out in less than 2 hours. I can tell that we Vietnamese be fighting and buying these concert tickets effortlessly whenever idols and groups come to our country, and Vietnam has one of the loudest crowds in K-pop concerts too (we'd be singing along, supporting, screaming, chanting loudly,...) Yet, it seems like recent tours by TWICE, Stray Kids, NCT, BTS solos, SEVENTEEN,... still skip Vietnam and only visit Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia for their Asian legs and Vietnamese fans still have to fly out to other countries to go to K-pop concerts. I wonder when Korean idols and companies will seriously take the Vietnamese market seriously and invest in Vietnam more, and let their idols and groups easily visit Vietnam to host concerts... submitted by /u/LongjumpingPage6168 [link] [comments]

1.541. Do my biases say anything about me?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I saw a few others do this and wanted to see if anyone thought my biases had something in common (looks wise or personality). I feel like seulgi, san, and jay have kinda siren like eyes that really draw me in. I also feel like yunjin, ningning, and san are super silly and, in the nicest way possible bc i’m the same, kinda air headed šŸ˜‚. So I’m thinking I like hot and silly people? submitted by /u/OutrageousString2652 [link] [comments]
