This question has been on my mind recently and it really got me thinking about who I considered to have the best Debut in my opinion and after thinking this question over and going through my mind about all the kpop debuts I know of for me the best Debut is NCT U. Now I'm not even a nctzen, but when NCT U came out with 7th sense in 2016, it blew my mind. It was different from what I was hearing in K-pop around that time period along with the visuals, and the dance was killer. I was watching dance cover after dance cover of that song. It was such a good mash up of amazing raps and killer vocals. I still really love the song till this day, like that song never gets old for me. This absolutely no hate to kpop demon hunters but I'm Soo tired of it being tied into everything kpop. Like I'll get ads for kpop events or programs and they'll promote it using kpop demon hunters. Just finished listening to the Blue Valentine album as a non-nswer and oh my gosh. Going into this I didn't want to get attached but when I tell you I loved so many songs on that album, genuinely so much... I'm so obsessed with Reality Hurts and Blue Valentine, but Shape of Love omgg... I think that's gonna be one of my favorite kpop songs of all time. It's heavenly. And it got me thinking- Jype's recent comebacks for all groups are insanely good, and imo, a lot better than the ones earlier this year. I vastly prefer Blue Valentine over Know About Me (even though Know About Me has grown on me lol). Kickflip's Band-Aid and My First Love Song are genuinely so good and imo way better than Mama Said and Freeze. Girls Will Be Girls by Itzy was good but Rock & Roll was incredible. I don't know if we can count Twice's one since it's a special album, but I do like Me+U a lot better than This Is For. I know this is just my opinion and other people probably think differently, but I do hope this streak continues. I love this song a lot so having twice as much of it is literally a dream come true! Both Baila and Superhero are really good and feel like complete songs that tell a story on their own . The vocal delivery is fantastic(as always with Nmixx). Plus, it itches my brain in just the right way to be able to listen to each song on their own but also combine them! Just wondering, I always in the impression that girls like more emotional or calmer songs. But most of boy group I hear today always heavily lean on hip-hop style. Personally for me this might be one of the best kpop song release this year and Nmixx best title song. The chorus is just so magical? They also showed of their vocals with the last chorus. Im happy for songs that has an actual chorus if you know what I mean. I think this is the sound Nmixx should aim for instead of drop beat chorus songs.
