┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Hey everyone, I hope you all had a great first week of August. My week has been decent since I’m on vacation with my friend, and we’ve been having a good time. This week delivered some tunes that kept popping up on my playlist as I kept returning to them like crazy. I did find my summer anthem, which I’ll be sharing with you sometime in August. Now let’s jump into the music and see what the artists released. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ https://preview.redd.it/m12pnebq9zhf1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3539dcb7183d57a7afcc51018cb3eb7a81e465f0 Best of the Week: August 6th Dancing Alone - KiiiKiii KiiiKiii is back with their first single album, one I’ve been hyped about. KiiiKiii debuted in March and quickly became one of my favorite groups from this year. Dancing Alone is the title track with a funky-synth vibe that has been pulling me back for more. The smooth and sweet vocals fit wonderfully with the overall vibe. The more I hear this tune, the more it gets stuck in my head, and I’m not mad about it. The B-side is Strawberry Cheesegame, which has this piano melody that gives this track a bit of a jazzy vibe, something we never heard from the group. The members' vocals fit perfectly with the overall vibe. We do get a little rap in the second verse that adds to the overall vibe. KiiiKiii is back with a single album that keeps pulling me back https://preview.redd.it/6u9ylp38azhf1.jpg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6a1947e9d466d1a7b313ee76c162f230d7898a26 Other Korean Releases of the Week: August 3rd Diamond Stars (feat. YOUHA & Kim Seungmin) - MINIT DJ and producer MINIT is back with a new single, teaming up with Youha and Kim Seungmin for this short single. The bouncy beat fits perfectly with the vocal effects added to Youha’s vocal moment. The hook is pretty decent as Youha sings that moment of the track. Seungmin comes in with a little rap that fits the overall vibe the producer crafted. With the song being 2:05 seconds, it makes me wish the track were longer, or even adding another artist to the tune to help make this tune a little bit longer to flesh it out more. https://preview.redd.it/zphcmnfhazhf1.jpg?width=225&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aae1293487b77a0e552df7ed71fcdf27b52b38cd ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Non-Korean Releases of the Week: A Little More - Ed Sheeran Ed Sheeran is back with his fourth single from his upcoming album, Play. The first time I heard this track, it put a smile on my face with its sweet melodies and vocals from Ed. The hook is pretty catchy, as it didn’t take me long to learn that part of the song. We get a rap from Ed in the second verse, which adds to the playful vibe that the instrumental delivers. I’m glad that each of the singles has been different, showing different sides of Ed as we enter this new era with the singer. https://preview.redd.it/i6yxyphwazhf1.jpg?width=276&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5939a41dd1bafbfdcbaf0e03fa7eb2034f754854 ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Liar of the Year - Ploychompoo Thai-pop singer Ploychompoo is back with a new single. It opens with guitars as the singer's sweet voice comes into the mix. The percussion helps move the tune forward, but I feel ike the vocals are the real star of the show. The hook is still growing on me the more I hear it. I do like that Ploychompoo is going for this pop-rock sound. I’ve enjoyed what the singer was doing in 2024 and was hoping 2025 would be another smash year for the singer. https://preview.redd.it/la49ddg8bzhf1.jpg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=09a4df5838b12ded209d9e5612b36186a6938ea3 ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Lastfm Weekly Roundup (August 1st - August 7th) Artist: Twice ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Album: T-world - Tray B ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Song: 수퍼맨 - Kambo https://preview.redd.it/ht3twy36czhf1.jpg?width=224&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2fa9fd4db138b800283f09788128e342269087a9 submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]

Take this channel for example. Mrkpopvault. They're currently milking BP's tour like a lot of channels are currently. They're also posted a video about cyberbullying by some of the blinks. I get it's important to talk about these things, but this is the same person who's been constantly making derogatory remarks against BP, Lesserafim, illit,Katseye and Itzy under other K-pop content channels before starting making vidoes. And they have the audacity to threaten with lawsuit for cyberbullying lol. Their comment was "female idols need to wear more clothes between their skinny legs" under another K-pop updates channel like a week or so ago.i can't find their comment currently as they're deleted it after someone called them out. How are you gonna talk about bullying, when you're a damn bully yourself? This is not the only channel by the way, in the last 2 years there have been so many "K-pop unpopular opinion" channels who literally throw random words together with an robotic voice over only to leave second handed comments about kpop idols every single time. They're comment section is a brooding mess of toxicity. I can't tell if YT has gotten strict or just let these Randos loose. Ppl have really thrown their shame for some views now. submitted by /u/SalamanderAny5356 [link] [comments]

As the title says. Are there other Korean genres you listen to that aren't Kpop or Kpop adjacent? If so, which genres? For me, I listen to Kr&b and Trot pretty often. K-indie, Krock and K-hiphop to a lesser degree. Also feel free to leave recommendations from your fav non Kpop Korean artists! submitted by /u/IzzyBella5725 [link] [comments]
