So, I recently checked out this post from u/Someonehihi and in the comments I learned about "Getting Pretty After" by SixBomb. Mannnnnnnn, the production team must have had five nickels and a dream for that music video. The costumes, the settings, the editing... Anyway, it got me thinking, what other music videos look like they were filmed by first year film students? MVs with just really cringey quality. This is not meant to be a post where we hate on any group, more so looking for a bit of a laugh. submitted by /u/Reverse7695 [link] [comments]
What the title says. I'd be really grateful for any help! :D submitted by /u/CD_chan [link] [comments]
As a native English speaker, I'm aware of which K-pop groups have had their English lyrics written by a native speaker and which groups haven't, so I'm curious to know if this happens with Japanese songs. Which K-pop groups have the best Japanese lyrics, and are there any with 'odd' lyrics or lyrics that don't sound right? I'm also making this post because as someone with no knowledge of Japanese I'm curious to know about how K-pop artists' Japanese lyrics are in general. submitted by /u/soshingi [link] [comments]
With more and more concerts being announced, i would like to remind everyone to stay safe in crowds, especially in pit sections. crowd crushes can happen in a flash so be aware of your surroundings and stay safe. Please be kind and courteous to your fellow fans! everyone is there to see the same artists we know and love, so letās do our part to make sure us and our fellow fans have a great night! that being said here are some concert tips that iāve gathered from my experiences! be prepared for and dress for the weather! with many events being outdoors as parts of festivals or stadium/arena shows, itās important to dress comfortably to make sure you have a good time. make sure you are ready for the weather. i recommend bringing a baseball cap and a water bottle at the very least if youāll be outside. what i did last year for outdoor summer concerts was bring a handheld fan and a hiking water pack. make sure youāre aware of your surroundings. With festivals and shows that have standing sections it is possible that you may be in a space that is very crowded and for kpop shows the audience ranges from young to old so make sure that you donāt accidentally elbow someone or accidentally miss a kiddo whoās by your feet. (speaking from experience because i almost wiped out a kid at stray kidsā lolapalooza performance) if you see something say something. In large crowds you may notice someone pass out, start a fight, any other kind of emergency. at that point you and the people around you need to help get the staffās attention as it gets harder for them to spot things like these in large crowds. You can use your phoneās flashlight to signal that someone needs help and get the people around you to help get the staffās attention. We are all here to have a good time so letās do our part to make sure weāre all safe too! be kind and courteous to staff. The staff are there to do their jobs and make sure we have a good experience, so try your best to listen and be respectful of them as well. The staff are also there to make sure we are safe as well so please make sure that your behavior is not what is causing the staff to have to become overwhelmed. as fans we represent the people who we stan, so letās set a good example and lead by example. be kind and courteous to your fellow fans! people travel from anywhere and everywhere to see their favs, and spend lots of money and time to get there, so try your best to make sure EVERYONE has a good time by being kind and respectful. Especially in venues where the audience is all standing, be mindful of your space and othersā space. Especially as crowds get larger, youāll need to be more careful because conflict can arise a lot faster/easier. 6.Know when you may need to leave a crowd. I assure you that it is better to be further back in a crowd if that is more comfortable. When i saw stray kids at lolapalooza, the crowd was getting so tightly packed that i could no longer see the stage or screen and could barely move at all. It was also 90 degrees out. So i left that part of the crowd and moved further back to a place where i could both see the screen and could stand comfortably, and i still had an amazing experience. On the flip side when i saw dpr in chicago, i had stayed in a tightly packed crowd and i was also anxious the entire time because i was just getting shoved around. Feeling uncomfortable in the crowd while watching your fave is only gonna distract you from having fun! be mindful of what youāre holding! if you have a lightstick or poster, holding it up too high or moving it around to aggressively can become a hazard and can ruin other peopleās experiences as well. i suggest holding these items at chest level to make sure you donāt block someone elseās view. Have a great concert season yāall! Stay safe and have fun! submitted by /u/TurnipMoist [link] [comments]
Could be either because of the music or the album design or whatever else. For the design I love Illitās Bomb (merch ver.) and Iznaās Beep but since I donāt really stan either of them I canāt justify spending that much money. On the other hand I ult aespa and love the concept but canāt justify buying the Dirty Worker version of their upcoming album. I can already see from the previews that I have no way to display it well so I bought the case version instead. For music I love WJSN The Blackās My Attitude- album and Iāve thought about buying it many times but I donāt know any of the members other than Exy and the design is not impressive enough to make me feel like I need to display it on my shelf. There are also different versions of albums that I regret not choosing but I canāt justify buying a new version of an album Iāve already purchased years ago. submitted by /u/Winter-Net-2669 [link] [comments]

Edit: Sorry I know this is long haha As the title suggests, I wanted to make this post just cause thereās been a lot of concern (especially in the last like 16 hours) of how Yeosang from Ateez is treated by their company. For those who donāt know, Ateez had their comeback today (13/06), with Golden Hour: Part 3. Those who are at least somewhat into Ateez will know that there has been a lot of dissatisfaction specifically with the perceived unfair treatment that Yeosang receives (I use the word āperceivedā here because peopleās opinions will differ). To be honest it wasnāt hard to see that he didnāt receive as many lines as his other members, especially at the start and this is something that he verbally expressed himself. To add to that, Yeosang is one of the quieter members, which meant that he often slipped into the background, especially when earlier on in their career. In more recent years, we have been seeing more from him and line distribution has improved quite a bit. Heās also generally come out of his shell much more which is nice to see. Now in the title track of their latest comeback, āLemon Drop,ā fans have noticed that Yeosang has again been given very few lines ā totalling to about 7 seconds in a ~ 3 minute song. Am I disappointed that the company has yet again done this? Yes, definitely. But the response from fans has been in my opinion a bit OTT. Itās now snowballed (as it does so often in the kpop world) and people are sharing clips from the fan chant guide and are speculating that his behaviour is due to how the company is treating him. That could absolutely be true. But I need people to understand that WE DO NOT KNOW THESE PEOPLE PERSONALLY. There could be so many other reasons why he seems down or maybe heās just tired. Iām seeing so many posts of people criticising the company and the producers. I, for one, am never against criticising companies but the comments on the latest post on their producer, Edenās, Instagram are way too much. To add to that, people are fundraising to send a truck to the company. Maybe this is because Iāve been out of the loop for so long, but are we being fr?? There are so many causes where your money could go⦠and you want to use it to send a truck to a company cause you donāt like how many lines they gave someone⦠I donāt disagree with peopleās disappointmentā I feel the same but the reaction just feels so unnecessary to me. Maybe this is because I see what else is going on in the world and it makes it hard for me to place that much care (and money) into something like this. And also, I canāt help but wonder how this will seem to Yeosang and the other Ateez members. Thereās no doubt they will see all the commotion, if they havenāt already. Maybe he will appreciate the fans looking out for him, but what if he doesnāt and this just causes issues for him? I know people have good intentions but they also need to consider the potential impact. Idk, I just wanted to share this here to and hear what others have to say. As an Atiny and someone who has recently come back to the kpop world after being out of the loop for roughly 5 years, I was really excited. However, Iāve been remembering why I stopped enjoying kpop before ā the way that fans react and catastrophize is honestly white off putting. Also just to share my own thoughts regarding Yeosang himself: In my opinion (and others have expressed the same), this is a classic case of an idol with a unique voice that may not completely suit what is expected within kpop. I personally love Yeosangās voice ā how deep it is, the tone, everything. It kinda reminds me of Taeās from BTS (my former ultā¤ļøāš©¹), and similarly, I think Yeosang really suits songs that take on a more RānāB or jazzy style (please listen to Itās You if you havenāt already). I do hope that if he is dissatisfied or feels mistreated that he is able to express this to the company himself. submitted by /u/Initial-General1863 [link] [comments]
A slight twist on the playlist trend. You give me an alphabet and I'll try to give as many different songs as possible that are there in my playlist. Mostly title tracks but many EXO, NCT and Baekhyun b-sides. submitted by /u/Chutneysandwich16 [link] [comments]
Me and my friends were watching music videos (as one does) and she mentions a song that starts with a high pitch violin (?) and goes down in pitch and almost goes into like layers of violin that sound sinister or menacing in a way⦠almost like music when a serial killer is chasing somebody. We searched for this song for like 2 hours and have NO CLUE⦠It might not even be kpop all we know is that it sounds menacing and the actual song sounds not like the beginning(most likely) If anybody has any idea then please shareš itās driving me insane (sorry if the description is hard to understand, itās such a specific sound I donāt know how to describe it and chat isnāt helping š) Thank you thank you ! submitted by /u/sususwaggy_ [link] [comments]
I know this has been happening for quite a few years now but this year has been ridiculous when it comes to the issue of K-pop idols and groups mocking black culture. Groups like black pink, kiss of life, Kard,.and the new group all day project have all been caught having some type of microaggression or stereotyping actions towards the black community and unfortunately there will be more groups in the future who will do the same thing, especially if they have a hip-hop aesthetic. There is no way that these companies and their media representatives have no clue about the backlash that these types of incidences create. There was legit months of people calling out black pink and kiss of life for their racial insensitivities, but for some reason they thought it was okay to debut a dude who obviously has some major culture vulture actions for their new group ( Tarzan ) or even approving the kiss of life birthday live. You're telling me that nobody on their whole team did research before allowing them to post all of this online ? That's why I think they do know the ramifications of these actions but decide that nobody would actually care or since a lot of K-pop fans have a small attention span that they will forget about it within a month or so. Sometimes I think they also use it as a way to create rage bait and get their groups talked about more and use the philosophy of any attention is good attention. These groups that feed off of black culture will mock us so bad, but yet use all of our stuff for their music and outfits and never give us our flowers. The whole period where all these K-Pop groups were coming out with ampiano songs and dances but yet not a single black person or even an African person was introduced to at least give homage. submitted by /u/MochaMilku [link] [comments]

I really donāt know what is going on here but it has not been fun in kpop_uncensored the past few days. I know there has been an influx of BTS post but I mean 4 members discharged and ARMY is excited. There is no reason to be trigger happy with mass reporting post and restricting them. Make a mega thread for those type post. Anyway what is the other options that Kpop where you can freely give your opinions and thoughts without being silenced. submitted by /u/PlacePuzzleheaded982 [link] [comments]

jungkook was seen wearing a hat that says āmake tokyo great againā during rehearsals for his performance at jhopeās solo concert today. it was met with a lot of backlash in south korea. personally, i think the hat is satirical. but considering the political climate, and the history of korea and japan, iām not surprised that there was such backlash to this. what are your thoughts submitted by /u/JinnieP [link] [comments]

For example: I've seen people say that Korean-Australian/American/Canadian idols getting called "Non-Koreans" or "Half Koreans" just because they lived outside of Korea. Like??? Don't they understand what immigration is and that their parents move to live in a different country, doesn't mean you change into a new ethnic or race. š¤¦š» submitted by /u/SatisfactionAdept548 [link] [comments]
