I’m currently watching Seonghwa’s episode on LMJ Service (literally, as I’m typing), and ofc he sang their latest tt “Lemon Drop”. Am I the only one who thought the intro sounded so much like SKZ’s “FAM” and the whole song felt like a cousin of Tinashe’s “2 On”? Fly to the youth really screams Wooseok and Pentagon😭 him and Yuqi seem to like the same genre when producing music. Even the rap parts are so Wooseok coded and I miss the group that got me into kpop the first time around. I've always loved Wooseok's solo songs and Yuqi's as well. I've been waiting for this song since it was promoted. hearing the chorus made me think of Wooseok and made me so emotional. I miss Pentagon so badly and I feel bad I haven't been keeping up with the members' solo stuff because it hurts to know that there potentially wouldn't be a reunion soon. So I don't bother looking them up 🙃 But I'm really happy Wooseok produced for NOWZ. Especially knowing the members partook in writing, it's such a good song about experiences and coming of age. I'm always rooting for Cube artists. They're so unique, their sounds, and the talented artists with their personalities! This actually goes for any idol who is NOT a trend setter, a common target for fans or non fans or just existing while their lyrics read I am better than you because I have more fame and money. And whenever they say this, I just chuckle. It's like yeah, you're cute. Unless you're debuting from an Mnet survival show, I don't see any purpose for debut songs going, I am sparking debate because I am so popular. And yes, this is in direct conversation with the latest debut song Famous by AllDay Project. The song is saying I am not even famous and I am the trend setter. Like? After 7 years in this fandom I've decided to leave it because the way A LOT of blinks are treating Lisa is making me extremely uncomfortable in particular as a SEA woman myself. I've been noticing this weird attitude from the the fans towards her starting from the beginning of last year: judging her hard if she didn't make an IG post on time but no problems if the other members did the same. They made complains when she went to Sicily for a Bulgari event or when she released the MV for her Tyla collab because "she doesn't care about blackpink but only about her solo activities" (a post made by a blink calling her out for being "selfish" reached 50k likes on X) but now that Rosé is coming out with a new collab and Jennie resumed her solo activities they are celebrating it (the tour is in 2 weeks btw)? When I pointed this out calmely to some fans I was called xenophobic names (eg monkey) by some blinks themselves and called an akgae. According to a SPOTV News report on the 17th, the 25-2 Civil Affairs Department of the Seoul High Court dismissed New Jeans' injunction appeal that afternoon. The Seoul Central District Court previously accepted Adore's injunction application for the preservation of the agency's status and prohibition of signing advertising contracts against the five members of New Jeans, ruling in Adore's favor. Afterwards, the members objected to the injunction application, but when it was not accepted, they immediately appealed. However, the court ruled in Ador's favor in the appeal trial as well. As a result, New Jeans can no longer continue independent activities without Adore. New Jeans has made it clear that they will not return to Ador. At the second hearing of the lawsuit for the validity of the exclusive contract that Adore recently filed against New Jeans, they stated, "The trust relationship has already been completely broken. We have crossed a river of no return," and "It will not be easy." To add from another news outlet The court did not accept any of New Jeans’ arguments, including: 1) the devaluation of New Jeans due to Hybe’s practice of pushing out albums, 2) the producing vacuum following the dismissal of former Adore CEO Min Hee-jin, 3) the formation of negative public opinion about New Jeans due to Hybe and Adore’s retaliatory audit of former CEO Min, 4) the “ignore” remarks made by member Hani to a manager of another label under Hybe, and 5) concept duplication.
