2.009. I love Rei from IVE. She's so cute and has a fun personality

I’m not a Dive, but Rei has this kind of charm I can’t really explain. I recently watched a few episodes of 'Follow Rei' on her YouTube channel. The show is totally enjoyable and engaging. It’s cool getting to see what she’s like off-stage and how she thinks when she’s doing her own thing. I also really admire the editing and overall vibe of her channel. It feels very 'Rei'. You can pick up lil things about the other Ive members while watching. Her Instagram posts are super aesthetic. They remind me of 2000s vintage photos. I just found out that she uses digital ccd cameras from the early 2000s. She talked about how she puts outfits together, how she edits her pics, and her makeup really stood out to me. It gives ppl a closer look at the parts of her personality that make her so special. I also really adore the behind the scenes stuff she shares from idol life. She’s become a big source of style inspo for me and helped me figure out how I want to take and edit my own pics. Rei personally owns Ive's Tiktok account (just kidding). Her TikTok videos are so entertaining and she is always up to date with trends. There's one Tiktok video where she just moves around with her bag with keychains. She appeared in Leemujin Service, she has good vocals and she's the main rapper of Ive at the same time. submitted by /u/LiminalLullaby [link] [comments]

2.013. Looking for any kpop songs from any groups that sound like 'Chaconne' by ENHYPEN.

I don't know how to pin it down but when you listen to 'Chaconne'by ENHYPEN it doesn't really feel like a kpop song yet it is and at the same time it sounds so magical. Is there anything else that's similar? submitted by /u/Ikniszyo1 [link] [comments]

2.014. Jessi comeback ft. Jadakiss, but is she blacklisted from KMedia?

  • reddit.com language

I love her. But her fansites are saying shes not allowed on to any variety shows or music shows and has essentially been blacklisted from most broadcast stations. So like...whats the point? She can't do any shows? Can't promote...is this for the international viewers? submitted by /u/Early_Inevitable_154 [link] [comments]

2.016. Ahyeon always gets hate over the most stupid things

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I don't understand why people don't understand that just because an idol "is a bad vocalist" or "can't sing" it doesn't mean that their bullying is justified. Yes, Ahyeon isn't my favorite babymonster vocalist either, but it doesn't mean that you guys should be THAT mean. You can critize her, she's an idol, and her talents/vocals could be underdeveloped in YOUR opinion. But once critizism turns into bullying y'all need to stop and draw the line at somewhere else. I've seen people call her the r slur just because of the clips where she is overdancing and "twitching" or "looks like she is having a seizure". You guys might find her actions funny and think that she is being too energetic, but going THAT far is never okay. People always hate on her for "screaming" in drip and take it to the next level. Let's say that she's screaming and her high note is horrible, does it give you the right to bully her? Disliking her as a person just because of her vocals is weird too. You don't know her, why can't you just say that you hate her vocals/dancing/rapping and let it go? People hated on her for even having an injury in the same place as Jennie, are you guys sick in the head?? Like, i could never stand this much of a hate. I've seen them hating on her just because she is "holding her breath to seem thin". Damn, let's say that she is, so what? Just say you find it weird, no need to do too much and call her weird names for that. She's just a teenager. By the way, i'm not talking about valid criticism like saying her vocals are bad or criticising her talents/behavior like saying the n word etc but just blatant unjustified hate. Don't get me wrong. submitted by /u/Artistic-Network-247 [link] [comments]

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

If I was one, I would be too stressed about other stuff than trying to be better/more popular than this idol/idol group etc. I'll just be doing things trying to get by each day, focusing on myself and not compare. I mean, they're humans like us, fans. Like, they know fan wars are such a waste of time etc. submitted by /u/dbzonepiecenaruto [link] [comments]

2.024. The new generation isn't boring, bland or oversaturated. We're just getting older.

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

When I became a kpop fan in early 4th gen (2019) a lot of people complained too many girl groups follow the girl crush concept and sound to the point where the music sounds homogeneous and everyone's afraid to bring something new to the table. For years, people also complained 4th gen has quite weal vocalists, with most groups being dance focused and pushing vocals to the side. There were also many discussions about lack of talent in 4th gen compared to 3rd gen, with a lot of people saying they lack in every category except dance. Vocals, rap, stage presence, etc. The general consensus was that 4th gen simply doesn't feel as good as 3rd gen. Since it was my gen,I heavily disagreed with most of these and found the 4th generation to be the best. Now that I belong in the previous gen's stans I catch myself thinking 4th generation hit better than the new 5th generation groups. But then I realized there's a new kpop fan out there thinking exactly what I was thinking about my generation, but for 5th gen. Plus,I've seen these exact complaints repackaged for 5th gen. And if you take a dive back, you'll notice them for 3rd gen too. My point is that it's natural for older kpop fans to find their generation to be better but that doesn't make the next one lacking. It all comes down to personal preference. Every generation has talenter groups and groups that aren't afraid to shake the waters and bring something new submitted by /u/Alive-Pitch-9180 [link] [comments]
