5. Looking for a friend/group(?) to lose weight with, and motivate eachother

  • 55 minutes ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hello, I am 18f and I am looking for preferably a female friend around my age to finally get healthy and lose weight. It would be of course important that the other person wants it too. But besides just focusing on my body and health I overall would love to have a friend to just talk to on a daily basis, motivate eachother, do exercise-challenges and send eachother k-pop diets and talk about them. I am not planning on shaming anyone for their weight, height or looks so I also expect the same twards me. So if you are a person who has been struggling with your weight and thinks that a person with the same problems could help you, feel free to DM me! :D submitted by /u/SortLongjumping4236 [link] [comments]

7. Been a stan since 2009… and lately the nostalgia hits different

  • 2 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’ve been a K-pop stan since 2009, and lately, I’ve been realizing just how much I miss that old K-pop sound. Songs like SHINee - Why So Serious? and BTOB - Wow, don’t just feel like music to me anymore they feel like time capsules. The melodies, the production, even the way the songs were staged and performed… there was a certain magic to that era that’s hard to put into words. Of course, it’s not that I dislike today’s K-pop. If anything, the fact that I’m still here, still listening, still supporting after all these years, proves that I genuinely enjoy how the music has evolved. But the older I get, the more I realize that part of what I miss is tied to nostalgia. Those songs represent the beginning for me the late nights waiting for MV drops, refreshing pages to see line distribution and stage outfits, memorizing fanchants, and feeling like every comeback was this huge, unforgettable event. When I listen to those older tracks now, it’s bittersweet. They bring me joy, but they also remind me of a time in my life that I’ll never get back. Back then, I was discovering something new and exciting for the very first time, and that version of me feels so far away now. It’s funny how music can hold onto pieces of who we used to be and whenever I go back to those songs, I get to revisit that person, even if just for a few minutes. K-pop has changed, and so have I. But no matter how much time passes, those older songs will always hold a special place in my heart. They remind me not only of where K-pop started for me, but also of where I started as a fan, and in a way, as a person too. submitted by /u/Pixiestookmybrain [link] [comments]

8. Which generation shift in K-pop do you think was the most confusing?

  • 2 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

As in the it is the lines between the generations are blurred and the fandom at large is often divided on which generation the cusp groups are in. I would prefer it if you didn't answer with the 4th to 5th gen transition since I feel much of the confusion is due to recency bias. submitted by /u/VigilMuck [link] [comments]

9. Make the most cursed lineup of all time, day 9! Last day :(

Rules: - ONLY ONE PERSON PER COMMENT, NOT FULL SHIPS - keep it lighthearted please - no serious submissions! Ex: Kim Seungmin for Main Vocalist - you may submit multiple people but make multiple comments for them - disbanded idols and survival show contestants count - all generations and all genders - ai/digital idols count - people who have collabed with Kpop groups can be submitted (ex: Terry Crews because he did a collab with le sserafim once) - an idol can win multiple spots, there’ll just be a clone of them - most upvotes comment wins - roughly every 24 hours there will be a new vote - if there are multiple comments for one idol, the highest will be counted Winners of day 8: Duolingo Nævis Choi Siwon (Super Junior) Now let the chaos end (?), whos the maknae? Our current maknae is Vanyesa, shes 17, so theyve gotta be younger than that! submitted by /u/DaGayEnby [link] [comments]

10. TXT’s last three title track run is criminally underrated

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Deja Vu (2024) > Over the Moon (2024) > Beautiful Strangers (2025) Each of these tracks are seriously on another level of beautiful. They employ actual vocals, have so much emotion, and are a genuine joy to listen to. No matter how many times I hear them, I’m like “wow…that was good.” I cannot fathom why I never hear about TXT’s recent cbs when people are talking about their favorite title track runs or their favorite cbs of the year. Of course, music is subjective, but it still baffles me that songs that good are so underrated in the larger conversations. Now, I know TXT is a popular group, and has been since their debut, but I’ve noticed that they’re kinda ignored in larger Kpop discussions. I honestly cannot figure out why. They’re all talented, their music is amazing, and they’re all super attractive (and I’m a lesbian!). How can they consistently put out music so incredible while being largely ignored and left out by the overall fan community? For a second there circa January 2023, I thought TXT was about to rival NewJeans, IVE, and aespa for Korean popularity. Sugar Rush Ride reached #2 on Melon for gods sake! But, if there’s one thing BigHit has proven they can do with almost surgical efficiency is stunt TXT’s growth. The decisions made with The Chaos Chapter: Freefall will never make sense to me. Still, Chasing That Feeling is a good song and one slightly underwhelming comeback I don’t think explains why they’ve constantly been left out of discussions. Especially after Deja Vu, Over the Moon, and Beautiful Strangers. All of which are the type of songs I always see Kpop stans begging for. Anyway, as a fan, I’ve really been fed by TXT with awesome music and amazing performances so I can’t complain too much. It’s really not me who is missing out! It’s those who don’t pay attention that are missing out LOL! But, if you’re looking for good music with real vocals and good performances then you should definitely tune into TXT! (I didn’t include Love Language because I don’t think it actually counts as a title track? It was more just a random single to give fans something because it had been six months since their last cb and the next one wasn’t for another 2-3 and was gonna be the only one for 2025) submitted by /u/hiekachu [link] [comments]

11. 2025 APEC Music Festa in Gyeongju artist line up

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I saw a post of 2025 APEC Music Festa in Gyeongju taking place in October 10. From what I know APEC is an annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, with the main Economic Leaders' Meeting (AELM). From the look of the line up, it seems like mainly kpop group. Is this music festa a big deal? Is it like any other music festival where they perform for the public or just for the people attending the conference? I find it hard to believe that the APEC leaders will be interested in kpop. Lineup list I found through social media post Billlie NCT WISH YENA (최예나) 온앤오프 (ONF) 원어스(DNEUS) 위아이(WEi) USPEER (유스피어) izna 정대현 KicKFIP 하성운 (HA SUNG WOON) HI-KEY (하이키) Hearts2Hearts submitted by /u/Frosty-Honeydew- [link] [comments]

12. I am tired of babymonster twerking discourse on youtube

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

i am came across many videos with millions and thousand of views of claiming babaymonster twerking during concert is wrong (my feed is filled with them), these videos were nowhere when they were touring, it suddenly starts when they went on break (for hot sauce release), and every videos is the same as previous one with same background music (labor), now it starts feeling like they commit some kind of crime [not surprise if ppl starts making same kind of video for views, since each one of them gain many views] well i do get the point of protecting minors but honestly i watched their every single concert video but i never felt this particular thing is something problematic or a topic to debate cuz they were doing in fun, just like ppl showoff moves in group party and i can say who watched real clips never find girls are doing something wrong, but ever since these shorts start popping on my feed it gives you a feel that this is very problematic (but it doesn't change my opinion) the reason i kept saying 'they didn't do something wrong' is becoz the way ppl are reacting on it and shaming members well I am more on the topic of this discourse bad impact then on whether it is right or wrong.... cuz the way every one starts saying "stop blaming yg when they are like this", basically saying what they did is so vulgar and now starts shaming members, also the amount of slut shaming only becoz of this is insane....(also i don't think twerking by a 16 yr old along with group members for fun is so wrong, its not something i will blame a 16 yr old, cuz she came from the generation where it is kind of 'trend' and tbh seeing other kids out there on social media, these kids are wayyy decent one) i am not just tired but feeling bad for them, how the fandom and ppl outside of fandom treating them, i seriously don't know (not in context of baemon but) in general, why ppl have problem with small things woman does in kpop (cuz nahh, i am jealous of groups like katseye and they truly lucky and free girls) (also, english is not my first language, i am maybe not good with words or expressing thoughts in english so sry for that) submitted by /u/Loud-Conference-990 [link] [comments]

1) Sometimes your group just isn't popular because people aren't vibing with it 2) Some of the groups with the most promo don't actually sell that much 3) Good streaming numbers are not relevant compared to album, merch, brand deals and concert ticket sales 4) You don't know more about marketing or production than the teams from these multimillion dollar companies submitted by /u/tyrico [link] [comments]
