I wanted to talk about something that’s been bothering me for a while: why are fans, especially female fans of male idols, so strange and possessive? Many sick girls actually believe they’re going to date them. I’ve seen cases mainly with the BTS boys, where they chased and threw an absurd amount of hate at a girl just because she appeared with one of them, on top of stalking and ridiculously sexualizing them especially Jungkook. Honestly, Jungkook is the most sexualized celebrity/idol, the Wattpad app is practically his. And this kind of behavior isn’t just with BTS I’ve seen it with other male idols and even celebrities outside of K-pop: sexualization, horrible persecution, and fans acting like idols “owe them something” or are supposed to date them. I’ve seen so many girls bothering that dancer who did the video with J-Hope, Alyssa like, they’re sick, Imagine a bunch of men doing the same thing to a woman? These sick girls think this is normal they are like that. Another thing I’ve noticed is that many treat them like babies. Meanwhile, there’s so much misogyny: they create competition with other female idols for no reason, based on appearance, dancing, or anything at all. Like, aren’t they competing? I see this all the time, I will create an example: a video of Jisoo dancing or singing, doing literally anything, and out of nowhere someone pops up mentioning some random idol from hell, completely unrelated, creating rivalry and competition where none exists. Is this some kind of need they have? I don’t see this with male idols. People don’t create rivalry for no reason or diminish their beauty. Male idols smile or do the tiniest, dumbest thing, and fans lose it: “Omg he’s so cute 💗😍🥰!” I even saw Jungkook just go to drink water during a performance and fans started screaming for no reason, and he was literally shocked. When a male idol acts cute, fans say it’s adorable and that they love him. But when a female idol does the same, these demons throw hate or mock her. They hate for any reason, even creating ships out of nowhere just because she looked at one idol and he looked back. Then it happens with another girl, and fans create competition between the two idols. It’s ridiculous. I see female idols getting hate all the time, for the dumbest reasons. And when a video is about praising a female idol, suddenly a demon appears quoting another idol, saying she’s better than the first one. Like, girl, they’re not in a competition! Imagine if several men screamed because a woman drank water? It’s ridiculous, right? not technically kpop but like.....come on. Katseye is not unique. theyre just pretty women. it genuinely irks me how brainwadhed people are on the internet to praise people for literally NOTHING. i thought the wonyoung and karina glaze was bad but katseye fans make me so mad its insane. yes, i do like katseye. i am a fan of their music. theyre beautiful girls. but i DO NOT like their fans and i have a few points to make. katseye are not some new unique group, theyre just a group of pretty women from underrepresented cultures. it insane how many videos ive seen talking about how unique katseye are. i came across a video tlaking about "katseyes rare beautiful features" and it was manon and danis small waist, laras long legs, sophias glossy lips....GLOSSY LIPS? RAGEBAIT. katseyes whole branding is ragebait and it works. im raging. "theyre not a kpop group" but their music is HEAVILY influenced by kpop. they only go on korean variety shows even though the girls arent even fluent in korean when they could easily do a western gameshow. they advertise themselevs in korea MORE THAN BLACKPINK DO? oh but theyre not kpop...be so frl. the whole manon thing also pisses me off. people say manon is mistreated and put in the back of dances because shes a brown girl. entirely untrue. shes in a highly popular girl group, gets to do whatever she wants without restriction, how would she be getting mistrested cmon. use your brains. and if they were so racist to be putting manon in the back ebcause shes brown then why isnt lara in the back???? shes a brown girl too. imo its all on purpose. it gives them more views and more people giving them engagment by talking so much about how manon is mistreated and hated on too much.
