because as someone who became a fan just months ago— realizing that they are disbanding still gives me a different type of ache. I've known the members since BP, I used to cheer for Jay, Keita and Matthew. They are my top pick. And when announced that Jay and Keita isn't debuting with them- i was mad and hurt. (AND THE FACT THAT JAY IS AT RANK 10) but Hanbin's funny antics made me a Zerose. I love them. Do you think they will extend their contract? Just like kepLer? submitted by /u/Fit-Entertainer9733 [link] [comments]

So this is something I’ve been thinking about a lot: Have you ever noticed how sometimes, when an idol has everything: talent, visuals, good personality, humble attitude, good company treatment, great fan interactions... people suddenly start… picking at them? Like they’ll say: “They’re boring, too polished.” “Feels fake, no one can be that kind.” “Overrated. There’s nothing special.” “I just don’t vibe with them… something feels off.” And I get it, not everyone clicks with every idol. But sometimes it feels less like “personal taste” and more like we’re uncomfortable with someone who checks too many boxes. Like our brains are going: “There has to be something wrong with them. They can’t really be this perfect.” It reminds me of this weird social thing where people are more forgiving of someone who’s talented but kinda chaotic or messy. But if someone’s really put-together and unproblematic, we get suspicious or bored. Is it because: We think “perfect” = fake? We feel insecure or can’t relate? We secretly want to see cracks in the image? Have you noticed this happening with certain idols? Do you think some fans subconsciously look for flaws in "perfect" idols because it feels more satisfying or “real”? And is there even such a thing as “too perfect” — or are we just uncomfortable with people who don’t give us a reason to criticize? submitted by /u/Seesawey [link] [comments]

Hi everyone and welcome back to my K-Pop compilation! Basically you just need to write down some hints or use emojis and let others guess your ult bias/ biases/ or bias wrecker! Mine ult biases are (Pls try guess): She's the main vocalist in her group, she was born in 1997🌹💗🐿️! She's the oldest and the first one to have solo in her group, she was also symbolised as a bunny💙🐰! He's the fourth oldest in his group, he used to ice skate before become an idol🐧⛸️❄️🧊 He's an All-rounder and is in the maknae line in his group, he's used to live in Malaysia🐿️! She's the third-oldest in her group, used to train opera before she become a K-Pop idol🐍! She's the all-rounder and center of her group, she is Korean but can also speak Chinese🦋! submitted by /u/Specific_Cake_5410 [link] [comments]

Eventful day for me. Aespa dropped Dirty Work and then Jessi dropped Newsflash. My opinion. This song is what Jessi and her whole aura is all about. I'm loving it and to be completely honest this is the kind of rap shit we need. People will disagree or give me a bit of hate for what I'm about say but I just want to say it. She's not my ult I'm a casual listener BUT I love her aura, I love her energy and I love her rap. She was my gateway to K-music and to K-Variety. Showtwrview, Sixth Sense, Hangout with Yoo's REFUND SISTERS project were the first things I consumed from Korean shows. Then I saw Unpretty Rapstar and her Unpretty Dreams is to date my NO 1 Jessi track. Newsflash is taking me back to that raw Jessi style she had when she did Unpretty Dreams. And frankly this is what she should be doing with her music. Don't get me wrong her other tracks are good but some of them like Gum were not what i would have expected to see from Jessi you know. I love that she's doing her own thing has her own Label with UNNI. The woman has had to go through shit after shit. I hate to see that for artists because ultimately while the artists go through troubling times it's ultimately people who love the music that end up with music that feels ... Meh? TLDR; to me Newsflash is fire. I've just listened to it once but I know it's going to be on repeat for me for a while. THIS is Jessi's sound. THIS is what I think her direction should be now that she's on her own doing her own thing. I hope this is a new beginning and she throws out more for her fans and people who like her music. submitted by /u/ronins_blade_ [link] [comments]
there was this one kpop reactor that i would always watch back in the day, i think his name was mister ok? or something like that. he was a dancer mostly so his insight was definitely interesting submitted by /u/travellingstudent1 [link] [comments]
This maybe a HOT take but the animated show "Kpop demon hunters" dropped some of the best girl group and boy group music for kpop this year. Like they brought back 3rd/early 4th gen kpop - where kpop had that specific kpop flare. They made it fun again. They showed what kpop is via their music and the movie itself. That particular emotion and flare that has been slowly disappearing from new releases. submitted by /u/MasterHospital [link] [comments]
