Ngl, I am locked in with SM groups so ofc when Hearts2Hearts was announced, I tuned in. I didn’t have any prejudice against them or fear they would disrupt Aespa’s rhythm and it made sense to me why SM would debut another girl group since they didn’t have a 5th gen one. When I watched the music video, it was just lackluster all around. Especially for a debut. Everything was just so standard 5th gen but in a been there done that way and nothing was that exciting. Except for the killing point in the dance. The members themselves I’ve heard little about and couldn’t see them well in the music video but I just thought they looked lackluster too. Well fast forward now, I do like the song and ut is catchy and the dance is really nice. So I finally get to watching the Chase studio choom and now that I can see the members more clearly, I really am disappointed. They all fit the Korean beauty standard but in such a way that they end up looking basic and similar to each other. No member stands out or gives anything different. SM is known for their visuals but I feel like these girls won’t be only because they’re just so basic. Don’t get me wrong, they are still pretty but that’s kinda it. And because they’re rookies, they don’t have the best stage performance either. I decided I wasn’t gonna stan them though. But I will tune in to their next cb and hopefully I can see more uniqueness and creativity in the mv, song, and member styling. submitted by /u/ILiterallyLoveThis [link] [comments]

I’ve always been curious!! I like to print off duplicates of cards to carry with me since I’m always nervous of damaging real cards haha. Basically I print them onto cardstock at Walmart and cut them to size! But I’ve always been curious how small businesses and such can print off homemade cards. If you know, let me know! I have a feeling it’s a lot more industrial and probably expensive upfront but I’m still curious :) submitted by /u/Message-Agitated [link] [comments]

Title. It was the first thing I noticed on my first listen, like I had to pause and figure out what song it was reminding me of because it was bugging me that bad. It's not just me right? I swear they're in closely related keys or SOMETHING, you can just sing one over the other without it sounding very off. The producers had to have taken inspiration, no? I swear I've only seen like one random 10 view YouTube short (or something) about how similar they are, it can't be an unpopular idea, is it? Then again, I'm not fully tuned into Engene discourse so maybe I'm just not seeing it. It's not just me right?!? (edited for formatting) Mirrors Bad Desire submitted by /u/kwn-hskie [link] [comments]

Just wondering, bc they haven't posted that many tiktoks over that time, and promotions for their new project started like weeks ago. So what happened that I missed? submitted by /u/Fun_Ad8352 [link] [comments]
Honestly, this episode just reminded me of how few interactions SHINee and Bigbang have had over the years, which still surprises me as they're both two of the most successful 2nd gen groups, but it was a pleasant surprise as Daesung is hilarious to watch, and he's so friendly. The episode, as always with Zip Daesung was funny and honest, it felt quite unfiltered, and if you haven't watched it already then I really recommend it. There were so many parts of the episode that had me cackling, with them discussing wardrobe malfunctions on stage and mishaps on stage. Then Taemin talking about how he's discussed quantum dynamics with Taeyang before, Daesung had a look on his face where you could tell he was going to tease Taeyang about it later. Taemin cheating slightly to get the capsule, then Daesung giving him friendship rings. Then there were also many moments where they got a bit more serious, and were quite thought provoking. Taemin mentioned that before the world tour he'd been considering steeping back from the industry and leaving on a high note, but after the tour he now wants to stick around for as long as possible. Seeing how many fans he has globally, and the number of people who genuinely wanted to see him. So I'm now even more glad that I was able to see him in concert. Daesung then segued into a conversation about how both of their groups are rare groups, as both have been at it for almost 20 years. He mentioned that it did seem a little privileged for them to complain about it, but it's sometimes difficult for them as very few groups from the 2nd gen are still around, and even fewer have proper world tours, especially this late into their career. They're the ones now setting a standard for groups that decide to stay together and active for many years, which I can only imagine is a huge burden, especially when so many idols look up to them. Younger idols that want to still be active this many years after debut, will be looking up to groups like SHINee and Bigbang. The K-pop industry is so fast-paced and it truly is like fast fashion, as soon as something goes out of style it's tossed away. So Bigbang and SHINee are somewhat pioneers in that sense, they're setting the ground for possibly more groups to continue being successful and touring many years into the future. But that also means there's not many idols that they can talk to about it, and even Taemin said that for SHINee, Bigbang's one of the only senior groups they have, so he was grateful to be able to talk to Daesung about it. I also really loved that moment where Taemin talked about how much SHINee means to him as a group, and how it's his life, because it truly shows you the bond they have all together. I do truly hope that SHINee will continue on until they're old and wrinkly, because they're truly special. I do also hope to be able to see them as a group, and solo in the future, I'm expecting a second Taemin world tour, same cities and hopefully some more. Honestly, I hope to see more Taemin and Daesung because they were so much fun together, maximising their joint Maknae. And even maybe see all of SHINee on Zip Daesung as Taemin suggested. Just to hear more stories about the 2nd gen. And even maybe see Taemin and Taeyang discuss their joint thesis on Quantum Dynamics lol. submitted by /u/sunflowersandpears [link] [comments]

Hi everyone! I’m doing some research on music video effects and concepts, and I’m especially interested in scenes where idols appear to be duplicated or interact with multiple versions of themselves. This could include: Cloning or split-body effects Shadow selves / alter egos One person playing multiple roles in the same scene Any form of self-replication or identity split in the visual storytelling I’d love to hear your favorite examples of K-pop MVs that use these kinds of effects or concepts, whether it’s a full storyline or just a short moment in the video. Any era or artist is welcome! Thanks so much in advance 🙏 something like this https://youtu.be/1-1TGNmQqZA?si=LXOA7b1j1xVYZ6Xc https://youtu.be/EpOPHXaOHpk?si=pma8IP9DEDYJZ7E8 submitted by /u/tonyshihh [link] [comments]
