So, unless you've been completely offline, you probably heard about the scandal involving Ju Haknyeon from The Boyz. He was recently accused of sleeping with an AV actress. Haknyeon has denied the accusations, but then Dispatch stepped in and reported that he was allegedly seen spending the night at the AV actress's place and only left the next morning. What made things even messier is that Dispatch also claims one of The Boyz members said Haknyeon was bragging about it “to look cool.” That part really caught my attention. Now, I’m not here to say I believe this or that, I mean it's Dispatch, after all, and we all know how they operate. And ultimately, Haknyeon is the only one who knows what really happened. That being said, I find it really interesting that someone from the group allegedly spoke about it to Dispatch or someone close enough to leak it. If that’s true, it kind of implies there’s a serious lack of loyalty within the group, especially knowing the massive consequences idols face over personal scandals like this. So my question is: Who do you think among the members could’ve “betrayed” Haknyeon (if the claims are true)? I’m not saying this to throw hate or start drama, it’s a genuine question out of curiosity. I'm more interested in the group dynamics and how trust plays out behind the scenes in K-pop groups. Being a Blink right now is… complicated. I still love the girls, I always will, but I think it’s time we stop pretending like they have no responsibility in what’s been happening. It’s been almost three years with no group comeback, and now there’s a tour coming but no album just a single after all this time. And look, I get it, they’ve all grown so much individually, built solo careers, and that’s amazing to see but the truth is the group hasn’t been a priority for a long time. We’ve spent years blaming YG for every delay, every silence, every missed opportunity and honestly, that company is a mess, but atp these are grown women, with influence, with choices, they’ve had time, they’ve had space, the lack of group activity isn’t just YG anymore. Sometimes it feels like they love Blackpink in a nostalgic, emotional way, like a memory, like a sisterhood, and that’s beautiful, but being in a group is also a responsibility. So yeah… maybe it’s time to stop making excuses, to admit that part of this disappointment (part of this distance) is on them too. And that’s okay, this doesn’t mean I hate them, it means I care enough to want more. Cherry Bullet disbanded over a year ago and they never really got off the ground, and while I still see plenty of love for Love So Sweet (which is fair, it's phenominal) I've never seen any recognition for their song Really Really - even when it was released the general consensus seemed to be that it wasn't particularly good or notable. But goddamn I love that song so much. For me it's like the ideal 'cute' song - incredibly buoyant, catchy as hell and the happy energy is completely infectious. It's been my most listened to kpop song for the past three years. Literally every time I go for a hard run I play the final chorus on loop when I'm sprinting out the final km and feel like I'm about to pass out, and it carries me to the end. I hate that it's apparently been forgotten by everyone except me and it deserves way more love. For those of you who don't remember, it was a bunch of Hybe Artsist playing Games together (Fromis_9, TXT, Enhypen, Lesserafim, Seventeen, Baekho, Hwang Min Hyu, Lee Hyun) on a 'Picnic' and it was super fun! I can imagine that it is not easy to do a project like this again, but it would be so worth it, especially since there is a bunch of new groups in Hybe now. I think it would be cool if other companies with lots of groups would do this too (YG, JYP, SM...) or if just a bunch of groups came together to do something similiar like this. International Kpop Stan's are often shocked when idols talk to or does dance challenges with "problematic" idols. I saw a tiktok talking about a boy group member doing a tiktok with a Kiss Of Life member. The TikTok expressed disappointment in said boy group member and that made me think of this issue. Its also not only racial or effensive issues. When idols were doing dance challenges and talking to Keena from 50/50, people expressed disappointment in idols doing tiktok challenges with her. Do you truly think idols care about the old 50/50 and Keena's issue?
