I was iffy about Cortis but after seeing James and Martin's predebut work with TXT, Illit, Enhypen, their documentary snippets and now Zion T. saying Cortis is "alternative kpop", it pushed me to give FaSHioN a chance and I really enjoyed it. The lyrics subverted expectations with the members flexing $5 tees, 10,000 won pants and bragging about their thrift shop finds in Dongmyo and Hongdae. I thought the part when a member was called out "Ahn Keonho, no matter what you say about my clothes, I hold my ground" was funny and the shout out to Fruits magazine was great! On another note, I would love to hear some R&B elements included in their next release. Especially after seeing a clip on Twitter of 14 year old trainee Martin singing his heart out to Bruno Mars Versace on the Floor I feel like there's a mine of untapped potential there in that direction. Anyway whilst their debut EP wasn't a complete knock out of the park for me, I'm still looking forward to their future musical output as they seem very passionate about their work. submitted by /u/honeyctrl [link] [comments]
For the many of us who have a little fan account with zero reach I thought it could be nice to share our @ here so we can find fellow kpoppers to interact with on insta. I'm not talking about just growing numbers neither find friends to have personal talks with because that is another kind of commitment, but I am thinking about more organic interactions on social media. Personally my account as zero reach and it feels lonely at times and fanaccs I stumble upon have millions of followers and posts thousands of edits in a day which I find overwhelming and it doesn't feel human-like. I thought some of us might feel the same, so we could find other small pages to follow to make fangirling/fanboying more lively and human :) Sharing accounts under 100 followers only could be good so we can really find the small ones. I hope it's a reasonable idea, maybe it's not but I thought it was worth a try, please do share your thoughts š«° (I'll remove or relocate this post this if it goes against any rules or isn't in the right sub). submitted by /u/Reasonable_Matter286 [link] [comments]

I went to GDās concert 3 days ago and spent $300 in the section 100ās (right behind floor seats) and the view was terrible and i couldnāt see shit. Its not really anything GD did himself that made me regret it but i feel like his prices were extremely unreasonable for the type of view you get. I was honestly just upset the whole show and couldnt really enjoy it. If i was just gonna look at a screen the whole time, i wouldve bought tickets in the nosebleeds. Not section 100ās bffr submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]
https://youtu.be/ezg4RRonlk4?si=0CB5gSaPdYcGFYdW reminded me of so much kpop fun, and how popular āAdult Ceremonyā was. Nowadays there might be cross dressing for Halloween content, but itās getting so rare. I know we get co-ed TikTok dance challenges, but itās not the same. It was so much fun. submitted by /u/lchen12345 [link] [comments]
I just want to share random potential kpop collaborations with western artists I have thought about over time. Some of these are definitely more realistic than others. ATEEZ x Megan thee Stallion - this has to happen and I wonāt take no for an answer here ATEEZ x Doechii - this would be such a sick collab š©š©š© omg imagine what HongJoong and Doechii could come up with together TWICE x Sabrina Carpenter - I feel like this actually will happen and it will eat down when it does TWICE x Victoria Monet - This would be so gooooood ššš PLEASEEEEE TWICE collaborate with Victoria Monet le sserafim x chappell roan - give these ladies a retro beat and a dream and theyāll make herstory Stray Kids x Rico Nasty - I feel like they have similar vibes and would def have a good noise music moment together Katseye x Charli XCX - yeah get all these ladies in the studio NOW!! And let megan, lara, and manon have creative input!! XG x FLO - after hinata, chisa, and juria covered Floās song āLosing Youā I immediately needed a collaboration bc them vocals would have me LEVITATING aespa x tinashe - this would be EVERYTHING!!!!! Any other collaborations yāall can think of that would be exciting to get? submitted by /u/OutrageousString2652 [link] [comments]
I miss their music a lot and i really didnt think their career would end this soon but I cant imagine any big companies taking them in after everything that happened. Its a huge liability for them and no matter how famous they are, no company is gonna be willing to take someone who violated company contracts and āwent behind their backsā to publicly expose them. I wonder what their future is gonna hold submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]

Inspired by AHOF's fandom name reveal, of all the choices and from the poll that features lots of great fandom name, their names ended up being... FOHA. Yeahhhh safe to say it went pretty viral overnight. I know DIA also went through similar process with them being called AID, which of course the fans probably would be tired of endless AIDS joke already. Just wondering which group would suffer the least with this naming scheme? submitted by /u/EmanuelTheodorus [link] [comments]

I personally think Kpop was still kpopping before New jeans came in the picture cuz now everything sounds like a mix of Pinkpantheres and just super Y2K vibe. (I love new jeans tho) Nobody is original anymore and kpop is 80% english and 20% korean now. No hate to that but I just miss when kpop had mainly korean lyrics and theyād only throw random ass english words here and there. submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]
Most of us already know the word sasaeng (ģ¬ģķ¬), right? It literally means āprivacy-invading fan.ā Itās a shortened word in Korean: ģ¬ģķ ģ¹Øķ“ ķ¬ ā āsasaeng.ā Basically, these are fans who cross every boundary like showing up at idolsā homes, following their cars, or even calling their personal phones. Obviously itās considered harassment in Korea too, and yes, it is illegal cuz itās basically stalking. What blows my mind is: how do sasaengs even get idolsā private info in the first place? There are rumors that shady insiders sometimes sell phone numbers or addresses like a telecom employee, a rogue manager, or even a āfriendā who betrays trust. Nobody knows for sure, but clearly some of the info is real. Thatās why youāll sometimes see idols getting random calls during Instagram lives and snapping, āStop calling me!ā Imagine strangers blowing up your phone or standing outside your house every day. Thatās terrifying. Idols are humans too. No one should have to live like that. Has anyone actually witnessed sasaeng behavior or know how they operate? Like how do they get all the personal info and know all the schedule. Personally, Iāve never seen them in real life, but it honestly feels like one of the darkest parts of K-pop fandom that never goes away. submitted by /u/SignificantElk5574 [link] [comments]

First it was people reporting lara and her family to ICE. Now some stays are reporting Soobin since he is in the US. And before yall start with the "Oh its just a joke or just ragebait" defenses you dont joke about that. Real people are losing their families and friends and are scared of even leaving their houses because of this. This is not something you joke about and its not something you weaponize in fanwars. Thats absolutely disgusting submitted by /u/icouto [link] [comments]
