Somehow, when the performance is too good and I see it live, esp if it’s my fav group, I kinda zone out mentally, and afterward I barely remember something. I mean, I remember the good/euphoria feeling I had, but I barely remember their faces or much of the actual performance. Eg I saw Enhypen at Coachella Week 2, second row at the barricade, and the whole time I was just like 😨 My bias is Jake. And you know how was Jake week2….and I just remember the feeling of “omg this is unbelievable.” But I don’t remember his face much, it feels more like it was a dream. Does anyone else experience this kind of concert blackout? Edit: I’m not saying that I am sad about it, about money spent etc. It’s more just a funny observation. Also, gpt says it’s normal, I’m just curious if anyone else had the same thing. Alsoooo, I usually don’t record anything on a concert, so I just stare at the stage and this might make the experience more intense idk submitted by /u/Fancy_Skin2065 [link] [comments]

I’ve been watching a lot of performances lately from rookie groups to veterans and one thing keeps bugging me: some artists really don’t seem to put in much effort anymore. Jay Park’s Mommae performances are one example that stood out. He just kind of walks around, says a few lines, and twerks a little. No vocal effort, no energy and it’s so obvious. People spend real money, wait in line, and get emotionally invested in these shows. The least an artist can do is try. You don’t need to do acrobatics or sing perfectly, but you do need to respect the stage and your audience enough to give it some heart. is it burnout, ego, or just a bad day? submitted by /u/mathgeekf314159 [link] [comments]

Personally I think it’s a crime that Moonstruck by Enhypen was only a b-side, it deserves better 😭 submitted by /u/americano143 [link] [comments]

I feel like every KPop fan has that ONE Kpop song that made them go from a casual listener of Kpop from time to time to becoming a fan. Like maybe in the past you consume Kpop here and there and you're just a casual listener, but after that song came out it changed you and you can't even deny it anymore, "Yes I love K-pop" and you're going to listen to music as a fan. Yes for me its Gee by Girls Generation. Wanted to know what other people's introduction song. submitted by /u/tsundere_megumi [link] [comments]
Because why do kpop idols look so....plastic now. Ik it sounds weird but they look super sanitizer, polished, doll like. They're pretty but in a way it starts looking uncanny Im not trying to be rude but while both the men & women back in 1st, 2nd gen were conventionaly attractive people , they looked like they had kept their natural features. 3rd gen felt less authentic but not as bad as today's gen. Nowadays as the generations progress, they seem to keep looking younger...more infantalized, more squeaky clean. I think makeup is a factor too + the filters bright enough to make you blind. It feels so weird seeing new gen rookies as compared to debut BTS or got7 💀 they looked like regular teenagers. submitted by /u/pepitolover [link] [comments]

Ngl, I am locked in with SM groups so ofc when Hearts2Hearts was announced, I tuned in. I didn’t have any prejudice against them or fear they would disrupt Aespa’s rhythm and it made sense to me why SM would debut another girl group since they didn’t have a 5th gen one. When I watched the music video, it was just lackluster all around. Especially for a debut. Everything was just so standard 5th gen but in a been there done that way and nothing was that exciting. Except for the killing point in the dance. The members themselves I’ve heard little about and couldn’t see them well in the music video but I just thought they looked lackluster too. Well fast forward now, I do like the song and ut is catchy and the dance is really nice. So I finally get to watching the Chase studio choom and now that I can see the members more clearly, I really am disappointed. They all fit the Korean beauty standard but in such a way that they end up looking basic and similar to each other. No member stands out or gives anything different. SM is known for their visuals but I feel like these girls won’t be only because they’re just so basic. Don’t get me wrong, they are still pretty but that’s kinda it. And because they’re rookies, they don’t have the best stage performance either. I decided I wasn’t gonna stan them though. But I will tune in to their next cb and hopefully I can see more uniqueness and creativity in the mv, song, and member styling. submitted by /u/ILiterallyLoveThis [link] [comments]

Either an idol who looks similar to a character or an idol who's so beautiful, they could be an anime character submitted by /u/Mother-Buffalo-5830 [link] [comments]

Title. It was the first thing I noticed on my first listen, like I had to pause and figure out what song it was reminding me of because it was bugging me that bad. It's not just me right? I swear they're in closely related keys or SOMETHING, you can just sing one over the other without it sounding very off. The producers had to have taken inspiration, no? I swear I've only seen like one random 10 view YouTube short (or something) about how similar they are, it can't be an unpopular idea, is it? Then again, I'm not fully tuned into Engene discourse so maybe I'm just not seeing it. It's not just me right?!? (edited for formatting) Mirrors Bad Desire submitted by /u/kwn-hskie [link] [comments]
