This is definitely going to be a new gen group thing since it wasn't common for groups aside from BTS to sell millions back in 3rd and early 4th gen. But are there any groups that have basically become million-sellers for all their albums? An obvious answer is ZB1 who have sold a million with every album of theirs, but I'm wondering if there are any others? submitted by /u/yoongelic [link] [comments]

It was removed from uncensored in the record time of 5 minutes so I'm posting it here. Leo is now competing in BPII and his past actions that lead to him leaving Trainee A have started to resurface again but for some reason he has gained a lot of fans excusing his old misogynistic lyrics by claiming he just covered "Stop Breathing" by Playboi Carti. This is a deliberate manipulation. Here's both of the songs' lyrics. Playboi Carti's "Stop Breathing": I take my shirt off and all the hoes stop breathin' I take my shirt off and all the hoes stop breathin' I take my shirt off and all the hoes stop breathin' Breathin', breathin', bitches stop breathin Leo's rap: ain't nobody gon tell me why that bitch stopped breathing fuck that hoe in my bank, yeah that shit stopped breathing tell that bitch, took that bitch to the store ain't nobody gon tell me why that bitch stopped breathing ain't nobody gon tell me why that bitch stopped breathing fuck that hoe in my bank, yeah that shit stopped breathing I am so sick of people trying to excuse his past lyrics so decided to compare the OG text and what Leo made out of it. Although the misogynistic vocabulary exists in the original, the overall meaning of the song is pretty harmless. It talks about Carti looking so good it takes women's breath away. Sure the vulgarity is there but that's about the only issue with the lyrics. Leo on the other hand takes the "stop breathing" part and gives it a whole another, disturbing meaning describing a woman, that the person rapping clearly hates, literally not breathing (getting murdered). What's worse, even though Carti uses derogatory words to say "woman" they are at least words used to talk about people. Leo is completely objectifying the victim in his murder fantasy by calling said woman "that shit". The two songs might share half a sentence and some of the beat but they have completely different meanings and Leo's violent misogynist writing cannot be excused by taking inspiration from as we can all see a much less harmful song. submitted by /u/Megan235 [link] [comments]
I've been stanning for 8 years now, and up to 2022, I never thought I'd ever fall out of like with my favourite groups. I always said they "saved my life" and shi, but now, I look back at myself from 2022 and I'm shocked. Shocked by hiw I used to be and by how I changed. It's like one day, I woke up and suddenly fell out of like with those groups. I can't say their names here or the reason I stopped stanning,(I might get hated) but it's crazy. I want to know if you guys understand what I'm saying. submitted by /u/Stationerix [link] [comments]

I know it’s stupid to pay attention to those hateful comments online, but sometimes I just can’t help, and I’m just so annoyed by that “Finally someone who doesn’t pretend to like this generic song” 😐🔫 I don’t even know how to explain why this sounds so stupid, because there’s no explanation needed when you have any sense of critical thinking Like I genuinely cannot understand why some people are bothered that some people might like songs that they don’t like And I wish it was kids commenting that, but I see posts on tiktok from 20-30 years old people and literally want to throw up submitted by /u/DisastrousOutside787 [link] [comments]
┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Hey everyone, I hope you all had a great week. I know my week was pretty good, as the music released during the week was fire, as it kept pulling me back for more. It didn't take long for me to discover what had taken over. My week as I knew the moment I heard the release. Twice has been a group I've been listening to a lot since their new album has been popping up on my playlist, but I can still understand why some people dislike the project. I've also been getting ready for my Vacation that will begin August 1st. Now let's jump into the music and see what was released this week. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ https://preview.redd.it/xcillxbfbvdf1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2e0b87416bdd12f5fd9e7ed005cd83a30ce345a8 Best of the Week: July 14th Episode 25 - Jo Yuri Jo Yuri takes over my week with her mini album that she released this week. From the opening track to the closer, this album kept pulling me back for more. Farewell for now! is the opener that brings in a pop-rock vibe that fits her sweet voice perfectly. " Growls and Purrs," the second song on the album, sees Jo Yuri contributing to the composition of the track, which slows her growth as an artist. I've been listening to this record like crazy cause I've missed hearing Yuri sing. This week, Yuri managed to brighten up my week with an album full of bangers and excellent vocals. I'm excited to see what else she has in store for us this year. https://preview.redd.it/i6v5jqbpbvdf1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c10f0b9739840f4aa18e3b39f5f7eb9fa3be4b21 ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Other Korean Releases of the Week: July 14th Up All Night - Xikers Xikers returned with their second Japanese single, delivering three tunes for us. Up All Night opens the single with a funky-pop vibe that fits this group perfectly. I love the smooth vocals on the track as the members put on a catchy performance. The rapping is slick as it adds to the overall vibe. The hook adds to the catchiness of the backing track delivered to the table. 100% is the second song on the single with a synth that opens up the track, bringing in a funky vibe like the opener. The rapping is a bit smoother as it flows wonderfully with the overall vibe. The hook has a brighter vibe with a melody that kept me coming back for more. Period is the closer, coming in with a softer vibe than the two previous tracks. The overall second Japanese single from Xikers still hits like their debut in Japan, as it's been something I've been listening to a lot this week. https://preview.redd.it/5iv80dt3cvdf1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=1f2f98e5506ec4a96e1425ced0a8b2c7f49ba416 ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ When Love Passed - Seventeen Seventeen dropped a Japanese single this week with production from WOOZI & BuildingOwner. A piano melody opens up the track as the smooth Seventeen vocals come into the mix. I love how tender this tune sounds as each member brings something sweet to the table. The hook explodes in color with the tune getting stronger the more you listen to it. I love the pop-rock vibe during the hook as it adds to the melody that pulls me right into this tune. Seventeen always works well with a pop-rock sound, but this one hits a little different for me. I'm glad we could get more Seventeen music this year, as a lot of it's been hitting hard. https://preview.redd.it/1putes08cvdf1.jpg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=63fe02b1fa99a2de8d54025ba84ce0f58956e91a ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ July 16th I Miss My... - Purple Kiss Purple Kiss returned this week with a new single album delivering three new tunes. DOREMI opens up the single with a music box melody blended with some synths. The vocals fit this bouncy vibe perfectly as the group puts on a killer performance. The hook comes crashing into the mix with its bouncy synth vibe that brings this tune to life. Lost & Found is the first b-side on the project and another strong tune for the group. The group goes for this rock vibe for Lost & Found which works well with the group as the vocals use a lot of echo effects on them. I'm not in love with the echo effect the song uses, but it still works for the group to some degree. VVV is the closer for this single, and another one I've been enjoying. VVV has this sweet vibe that brings in a bit of bouncy moments that work well with the group. I'm glad to see Purple Kiss back with new music, as it's been since 2024 since we've gotten music from them. https://preview.redd.it/d1jwwr7ecvdf1.jpg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a453bd529629eafc02ae25132ca441991dd9224 ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Be Alright - IVE IVE is back with a new Japanese single that pulled me right into the mix. The track goes for this funky-pop vibe that fits the members vocals perfectly. The smooth hook pulled me right into the mix as I've been having this on repeat cause it's stuck in my head. I'm glad we are getting more Japanese music from IVE cause they deliver bangers in Japan. IVE been becoming one of my favorite groups this year as they continue to put out some killer tunes. https://preview.redd.it/5fa7aslhcvdf1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8542bbeba3e368e8018974609211bc4de088b2c ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ July 18th Remedy - Jay Park Jay Park is back with a new single with a bouncy vibe. The smooth vocals blend wonderfully with the electronic vibe that thumps throughout the tune. Jay Park delivers a smooth vocal performance. The hook has a catchy vibe that is something that I'll be remembering. I've been enjoying the last few songs from Jay, but this one feels a bit different as it goes for Jay. I'm glad Jay is still making music cause he still puts out some great tunes. https://preview.redd.it/rt38p1xlcvdf1.jpg?width=679&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cbd12522945e9c87c901d80a7251292cf1c66b1a ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Non-Korean Releases of the Week: Oh My Pumpkin - AKB48 AKB48 is back with a 20th anniversary single with a funkky vibe that fits the cute vocals. With this new track, it sounds like the members are having loads of fun singing it, as it feels like the group is going back to their roots. I love the lush hook that has this addictive melody that works for a song like this. AKB48 has been a Japanese group since I was in middle school, and it feels crazy that AKB48 has been around for 20 years. https://preview.redd.it/pudiwbvpcvdf1.jpg?width=544&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=adb006046972979c3451b1f2b39e447c0a71d5f1 Lastfm Weekly Roundup (July 11th - July 17th) Artist: Twice https://preview.redd.it/1uow0ohwcvdf1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=1573a576d073f273f0a8773311b59c6e60d4bec8 ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Album: This is For - Twice https://preview.redd.it/i3s7qezvcvdf1.jpg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f8633809909d0339f69f0e2934a040e1f80e884d ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Song: Options - Twice https://preview.redd.it/5q5u3gywcvdf1.jpg?width=2000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a82831dc9ecfa557ad01f911c1837bccbf6e8740 submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]
I can't explain why but I got a strange feeling that a huge secret involving HYBE is about to be exposed. It has nothing to do with BangPD's current legal issues. It's going to be a huge scandal that's going to rock the Industry just after or just before BigHit debuts their new group about the companies business practices. It might be just a strange feeling and be nothing. I just wanted to write it down if something actually happens. submitted by /u/Moon_Man56 [link] [comments]
I don’t think any k-pop fan located in America has been lucky enough to see their fave actually plan out a well organized tour with good prices, actual good benefits, and in a timely manner. This year has been filled with groups announcing concert dates at the last minute with no information and no notice, and it’s finally starting to show in how these concerts are selling. Recently three groups have gone on tour, P1Harmony, Ateez, and TXT(using them as an example since I have experience with them especially). I remember trying to get tickets for P1H and ATEEZ and the stress I would feel.. Seats would disappear in front of your eyes, you’d try to check out then get kicked because somehow it’s already sold, and you’d end up with seats in the back. This year? I managed to get seats on the second row on floor of P1Harmony 6 hours after their sale, something I’ve been trying to do since 2022, waiting in the waiting room for hours while using multiple devices. Again, last year Ateez tickets disappeared right in front of me every single time I tried to click. Easily got floor this year. I wasn’t there for actual TXT sales, but I remember checking in later in the day or a couple of days later and everything was sold except for the absolute worst seats with obstructed views and resales going for upwards to 1000 dollars. Now? They’re all struggling to sell tickets. It’s not just a them problem, smaller groups have especially been struggling, but it’s been shocking to see for bigger groups.. Or is it really that shocking? In 2022, same venue, I saw Seventeen in the lower bowl for around 300-400 dollars for TWO tickets. For around the same seats, TXT are selling them from anywhere 330-900 dollars for one ticket. If I wanted the same seats, two tickets, I’d be paying upwards of 1800 dollars or a minimum of 660. I know someone is thinking, “Why do the tickets range from 330-900 for the same area?” And I really can’t tell you why. No, these are not platinum tickets. Platinum prices are actually going for the same amount, if not a smaller amount. For the floor, general admission by the way, the tickets are 477 and ~900 dollars. Depending on how much tickets are sold, your height, and whether you want to waste time camping, you’re paying 900 dollars for the view of someone’s head and to be in a cramped, sweaty pit of people. ATEEZ is a similar story but with seated floor, vip prices starting at 477 and ending at 1200. Last year for P1Harmony floor, I paid around 400 dollars for two tickets, this years it was over 670. They are actually one of the few groups who gave us around a month I think before sales. I had time to think and decide whether I was going to pay for them, and since I decided to sell tickets for another group earlier, I am using that money for them. But one thing that I will absolutely never support are the vip packages which are sold separately, the prices being $100(merch package), $250(soundcheck), and $350(send-off) without taxes and fees. If you wanted a good seat, the best vip package, which will also be the thing that gets you a good chance at an interaction at send off since people are lined up by where they’re sitting, that’s $765 when taking into account the fees that boosted send off to $425. The vip packages are more expensive than the seats! But this makes them around the same prices as TXT with soundcheck being more expensive, but send off being less if you combine both benefits and tickets on the floor, both ridiculous. I think the benefits have made companies a lot more bold with prices. I’ve never personally had send off, but I do know from videos I’ve seen it’s basically the most rushed fansign of your life and most people don’t even get a look in their eyes from the members or an acknowledgement of them existing. People are paying 900-1200 for a chance at an interaction, and every single year they’re shortening the times of send off and removing benefits such as taking selfies together. If you’re one of those fans who truly love interactions and just go for them, we aren’t judging here, support your local nugu and get into smaller groups. I paid 130 for two tickets at 82Major, and was able to take pictures with three of the members individually on my own phone. I was so close to them during the concert that I saw their SWEAT, and this was after I ended up getting to the venue late. I have had sound check, and I can confidently say it’s not worth the price, ever. I only got it because I wanted floor seats and specifically saved up for Ateez, but their vip packages aren’t separate. You get 3 songs and my soundcheck lasted around 15-20 minutes. It didn’t feel any more fun or interesting than the actual concert, there wasn’t any fun anecdotes from the members or anything special, they just perform 3 songs and said songs were songs on the actual, regular setlist. That was just about the prices, benefits, and this is already a long post, sorry… But my god, why is everyone going on tour at the same time? I’m not sure if kpop companies have some disconnect about fan culture in America, but I would say a good chunk of fans, I’m gonna go 70-90%, stan multiple groups and are the same people going to these tours. I know fanwars make it seem like the opposite, but a huge amount of Stays are Atiny, a lot of Atiny are Moas, a lot of Moas are Fearnots, a lot of Fearnots are Blinks, etc. Even if they don’t define themselves as being in a fandom, chances are they at least like a couple of songs and people will buy tickets on the strength of knowing a few songs. With that being said, multi fans cannot be in two places at the same time. What made HYBE think to have a TXT concert and Le Sserafim concert on the same day in the same state? TXT sales have suffered especially for that day. Neither can they afford so many tickets. I love concerts and I specifically save for them, but if I were to buy anything else, I’d be out of my budget, so I’m done with them. All in all, it’s been ridiculous. I want to note that this isn’t a diss at the groups mentioned, I don’t know how they personally feel about the prices and they aren’t even the ones setting up the prices themselves. But this isn’t just a diss at Ticketmaster either, we can’t keep only blaming Ticketmaster y’all, this is about the companies. FNC, Hybe, and KQ are to blame and it’s scummy behavior. TL;DR: Tickets are way too expensive, tickets aren’t selling anymore because of this, the benefits don’t match what you’re paying for, and too many groups are touring at the same time. submitted by /u/No-Committee1001 [link] [comments]

I know people talk about this all the time but oh my GOD. 2.30 is already pushing it. 2.50, that's OK. But anything shorter... this is for by twice is 2.11, and it's like... I barely painted two strokes and suddenly the songs over? Like, I breathe and it's done! Isn't that too little😭 submitted by /u/I_am_a_fiction_lover [link] [comments]
You can also give your group a creative name, what would their concept/overall sound be like? etc submitted by /u/KpopDivas [link] [comments]
I got into TWICE 2-3 years ago and I've only seen clips of their tours, I've never attended one in live so I'm still a newbie ONCE. But this tour feels quite different (even though it's only been one day lol), the members' energies, the setlist, the stage and production, their choreos, they all seem to blend perfectly especially with their idea to perform with 360 viewing area. It really feels like they performed with their best here and it's going to be a very fun World Tour up ahead, with this being one of their most memorable ones - so far! Do you have one of those concerts whose memories and moments are still stuck with you? Experiencing it live or not, either way, a particular concert where you think your fav. absolutely went all out and did a great job? Feel free to share your experiences, images or clips if any you'd like to add along! (Credits to the respective photographers for their work!) submitted by /u/Late_Art9758 [link] [comments]
It looks so gorgeous words cannot describe how excited I am for this comeback. Although they've dabbled before, TXT has never done a music video quite as gritty as this seems. Please feel free to presave their album on spotify! submitted by /u/Nynasa [link] [comments]
