This is something that I have seen for the longest time in kpop spaces but fans love to make unnecessary comparisons. A recent comment I saw on a tiktok video, that also had similar comments on that same video, was "Lisa is a better dancer than Bailey sok, she surpasses her skills........" I had to pause and raise my eyebrow, cause what??. I haven't tuned in to allday project and I personally don't plan to but Bailey sok is a dancer I have seen on social media for years. Like does anyone remember the Bailey sok and kida the great duo. A simple search on tiktok into world of dance competition videos of the two of them will show you that she is a true professional dancer and extremely highly accredited in the world of dance. I understand that without a doubt, Lisa is more famous globally but there truly is no need for such comparisons. Lisa dances really well but there is no need to compare her to someone else, who in a particular aspect far supersedes her. Maybe because bailey is relatively new to the kpop space as an idol(mind you she's been choreographing for your faves) and her group generally doesn't have the best image rn, so people are tryna rewrite history. Adp ain't my thing, but for the bailey sok I used to watch and cheer for..that is a crazy statement You might think that's all let me introduce you to another one A lot of idols have been posting their covers of Golden from kpop demon hunters. Beautiful singers, beautiful voices. Then I saw a comment under a video about how Yunjin(ive) is a better singer than Ailee (they both covered Golden). Go ahead and touch grass please. Ailee?, the same ailee we know??-We are gradually losing the ancient texts. What an out of touch comparison. You might be like -Oh just some comparisons, don't mind them, but some of these comparisons could start unnecessary fan wars if it escalates. Let's practice mindfulness. We can say "Yujin is an amazing singer"-we will cheer, we will support cause it's true. Or under videos of two dancers we can say "Lisa and bailey are such good dancers"-bravo, bravo. It's always this person versus this person and never this person and this person or just appreciating one person. Let's appreciate and not make out of touch comparisons. It is my first time at the kcon. I was disgusted and I am sorry but this is so bad. They also buy brand new stuff for camping to just abandon them there. They don’t care, because it is cheap. Like we are not already submerged by massive trash. submitted by /u/Ordinary_Cat_01 [link] [comments]

2.454. MyMusicTaste Is Falsely Advertising Makes

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Let me start off by saying that I have been using the MMT website since the group Lunafly introduced fans to it in 2013, which is when the site went public. I have seen all the crap that they have done over the years. Like when they 100% completely overhauled their site and Make system in 2016 and all campaigns lost 100% of all Makes. For those who don’t know, MMT started out as a crowdfunding platform that emphasized that they were not concert promoters, just a way for fans to let agencies know where they want concerts. Supporting a campaign means that you click a button that says “Make.” The website and Make system were overhauled in 2022. Users assumed the overhaul was because the previous system was flawed and had fans cheating in order to get concerts to happen since goals were too high. I went to bat with them when I found out 1% of Makes were being stolen every day because I was pissed. I spent three months going back and forth. I even got a phone call from an employee in South Korea that semi resolved things and got them to change their messaging on the website to be clear about this. I even got MMT to pay for the expensive overseas call they initiated. I still spent time pushing campaigns for groups I wanted to see near me after that because I thought MMT was my only hope. Flash forward to 2025, and I thought I could use the lack of Make goals for campaigns (that currently has 241,833 Makes) as an opening to push for a concert I wanted. Now this is where I get majorly pissed again. They first told me that goals were not listed anymore due to “fairness.” That makes absolutely zero sense based on what they did in the past, and I told them as much. They also said, “...please know that every MAKE you contribute is meaningful and helps demonstrate demand, which plays a key role in helping the campaign grow.” MMT’s response to my further inquiry? Okay, so for the past three years, Makes have been meaningless. What the hell! Nothing about Makes not being a sole determining factor is listed anywhere on the website. Every campaign has a pop-up when the page loads all about Makes and their importance to getting concerts and events! However, I was looking around the site and found this whole Business Inquiry page that I have never seen before. (I only ever look at the pages for the campaigns I am Making for.) It shows "Partnership Artists,” ongoing partnerships (an incomplete list of acts MMT has worked with in the past), and "Inquire about other artists.” To me, this page (particularly the inquiry part) adds to the fact that Makes mean nothing anymore, despite the website and FAQ having all the same information about Makes, how much they mean, and what incentives they can get you. This all adds up to MMT falsely advertising Makes as being a major factor in determining concerts and events. How is this fair to their users? The one campaign I have been recently pushing has had large and consistent growth since 2022, and I have the screenshots to prove it! Why in the hell have fans been pushing campaigns when they mean crap? My research shows that when game company Com2uS became the majority shareholder (some sources say acquisition) at 58.5% around March of 2022, that's likely when decisions to completely overhaul how the MMT website and Make system worked occurred. It took months of backend work to implement, and the new system went live that same summer. I don’t fault MMT as a company for needing money during a global pandemic that shut down live events. I fault them for false advertising and acting like the Make system has mostly been the same after the system overhaul. They have falsely gotten the hopes up of every single user who has made Makes in the last three years. They know there are still agencies that will only bring their Kpop acts to certain places (see SM and their 2nd gen acts for instance) and do not go where all fans want concerts, despite there being huge demand. MMT was a teeny tiny bit of hope to these fans because we could Make on their website. I have been and seen other fans still promoting Makes as a last-ditch effort to be recognized by agencies. All that work has been for nothing. Idk if I will get a further response for MMT since I mentioned I will be going forward with a false advertising claim in the US and didn’t specify that it was with the Better Business Bureau, but I hope to get a reply this week. MMT knows won’t let this go. Thank you to anyone who read this full post. I know it is long. submitted by /u/Aleash89 [link] [comments]

To me there's nothing about it that stands out. The song isn't anything I haven't heard hundred times before. Do I think APT. should truly win instead? Yes. I think the song has a more throwback pop punk sound mixed with new wave which I'm all here for. Golden is kinda giving every other pop song I've ever heard. This isn't me saying the song is bad I can understand why people like it and if you enjoy it that's great EJAE is super super mega talented. I just don't get it sorry. submitted by /u/onlyeveryotherday [link] [comments]

2.463. What groups seem to live and breathe performing?

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This is NOT NOT NOT a political post or targeted toward any groups^! I feel like I have to put a disclaimer in this economy when this is just for fun and finding new groups! But what groups to you guys seem like they just live and breathe for performing? I don’t mean people that just have amazing vocals or are just good dancers, but regardless of what they have or bring to the table, they’re just enjoyable to watch! I was thinking about this while watching BoyNextDoor’s/twice lalapalooza videos. BND is just always so crazy high energy and that’s actually what appealed to me the most when I first started listening! Twice is well, twice and there’s something incredibly enduring about their performances. I also feel this way about Le Sserafim, f(x), NMIXX, i-dle, TXT, H.O.T (during their prime ofc), BabyMonster (who I don’t religiously listen to, but I think they’re great!!), and yes I’m gonna say it - JYP for always going very, very big and not being afraid of how others perceive his… passions perhaps? I also think that regardless of people’s feelings on groups like BP/BTS currently, they got their fame because they just have an ‘it’ factor for sure! There’s def more groups I can’t think of, but I’m curious about others opinions! submitted by /u/totallyCamped [link] [comments]

Because purple hair lowkey looks so campy. Like I know other hair colours like pink, blue and so on aren’t natural hair colours anyways but something about this range of shades of purple looks so extra fake but I actually like it 💀 I don’t know if I make sense, it kinda just looks like a digital wig that you can drag off the idol’s hair while playing a game submitted by /u/Accomplished-Ad-3422 [link] [comments]

2.466. It's ridiculously dumb not having the whole Lollapalooza screaming "Shy, shy, shy": Twice early discography doesn't receive enough love

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I know Twice have grown up and probably don't like their early singles too much, but I find too amusing that neither "Cheer up" not "TT" or even "Like Ooh Ahh" receive a bit of attention. It's ridiculously dumb not having the whole Lollapalooza screaming "Shy, shy, shy". I see it as a big lost opportunity. We Were ROBBED. They have a vast DISCOGRAPHY and can dispose of any single they want and still perform 90 minutes of pure hits and bangers. But Cheer Up and TT were the last time a kpop group had a decade defining song, literally cultural icons in Korea and Japan respectively. In a league of their own. Neither of these songs are included in their tour either. I think at this point they are leaving this songs to rot in a corner. Unfairly so. This songs are bigger than anything released by BTS or Black Pink, mind you. And they still receive 0 love. Maybe I should have posted this to Unpopular Kpop Opinions. But this situation is as amusing as it is maddening. submitted by /u/taeyang31 [link] [comments]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTVlHDv4U1U&list=RDsTVlHDv4U1U&start_radio=1&pp=ygUPc2JzIGJhYnltb25zdGVyoAcB This is just my opinion as someone who likes to watch kpop live shows now and then. Babymonster as a whole really served and ate the performance in SBS gayo daejun. Ahyeon's energy was amazing. But I was kind of put off by comments from shorts of this performance hyping up her rap. It sounded like she was screaming the lyrics into the mic. Idk tho, what are your thoughts about it? submitted by /u/LadderOk6924 [link] [comments]
