12. Enhypen doesn't have a single bad song. (my opinion)

  • 39 minutes ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Seriously, their entire discography is no-skip. Maybe it's just my taste in music but EVERY song is a banger??? Yes, there are some songs that need to grow on you (for me it was no doubt), but once they do, they're such earworms– you can't get it out of your head. I can't tell if my objectivity is being clouded by my love for Enhypen 😭 but is there anyone else who feels the same way? submitted by /u/topshaggy6 [link] [comments]

13. If you could trade bodies with an idol for a day, who would it be?

I feel like I'd choose BTS's J-hope or I-dle's Soyeon. I want to know how they both get inspired and create their songs. If they just come up with an idea or if they prepare it beforehand so it comes to mind. submitted by /u/Mayh_3m [link] [comments]

20. I wish Huntrix and Saja Boys Teamed Up In Kpop Demon Hunters (SPOILERS)

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BELOW! I feel like both sides were molded for a purpose. The demons, to fulfill Gwi-Ma's aims, and Huntrix to restore the Honmoon. Saja and Huntrix are like inverse mirrors in my opinion, for example though Jinu may or may have been pretty hardcore depending on how you view his past life, he was a kid going through extreme circumstances at one point; and submitting to the will of an entity promising his greatest dreams makes sense to me. And in terms of Rumi, to fulfill her purpose she had to suppress so many parts of her identity and who she is. Both Saja and Huntrix seem very overworked, always grinding at fanmeets, variety tv show and endless music ranking competitions- the grindset never ends for either side. Sure yeah Saja takes souls and Huntrix restores them- but if their roles were reversed, then to me it feels like both are serving a fated destiny, where being on either side is pretty rough. That's why to me i'd have loved it if both sides were like 'im done with this purpose' and teamed up to change everything from the roots upwards BUT YES I KNOW IT'S UNREALISTIC TT-TT I just feel like the job was merciless for both the demons and Huntrix. It isn't a lifestyle I'd wish on anybody. Also Golden seems like such a positive song, yet to me also it kind of reflects Rumi's struggles- on the outside she seems invincible, golden, happy- yet inside she's wagering such a massive war between her competing natures that her voice and mind are breaking to pieces. Zoey and Mira too- they are still struggling in their own ways, yet are doing their best to dole out hopes and dreams. It kinda had me like 'wah... maybe this song signifies their hidden hardships and pain, not just liberation. Is it a kind of false liberation?' Well yep my summary is: both sides go through a crazy grind, they deserve a break from their higher purposes or even better if they could defy fate yknow? Cuz by the end of the movie, I feel that same grind lifestyle is maintained and everything goes back to the status quo. submitted by /u/AngleFormal [link] [comments]

27. Let’s talk about how hypocritical K-pop fandoms can be sometimes

  • 4 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi!!πŸ‘‹πŸΎ I’m new to this sub. I’m not trying to attack anyone or start fanwars, I just want to talk about something I’ve been noticing for a while. Honestly, the longer I stay in the K-pop fandom, the clearer it gets. A lot of fans are just… hypocritical. And I don’t mean only when it’s their fave. I mean when it’s someone or a group they like, period. If they like a group or an idol, suddenly everything becomes β€œa misunderstanding” or β€œthey’re learning.” But if it’s a group they don’t like, even the smallest mistake turns into the biggest drama. It’s never about what actually happened; it’s about who they personally want to protect or drag. You can see it in almost every situation, cultural appropriation, attitude, styling, stage behavior, whatever. People’s reactions completely change depending on who’s involved. For example, look at Cortis, Kiss of Life, and Tarzann from the All Day Project. Cortis openly appreciates Black culture, works with Black creators, and gives credit; yet they still get labeled as β€œproblematic” or receive backlash. Kiss of Life faced massive backlash for their birthday party theme: the braids, the outfits, the exaggerated accents. People were quick to call it out (especially toward Belle, the American member). But then there’s Tarzann, who did the exact same things: wearing braids, dressing in that same exaggerated β€œBlack” aesthetic, even saying the N-word. Yet somehow, people defend him. β€œHe lived in America,” β€œHe appreciates the culture,” β€œHe didn’t mean it.” His name is literally Tarzann, his bio says β€œjungle,” and he even uses the πŸ₯·πŸΎ emoji, be f ing for real. People even started calling him β€œBlasian” because he spent a few years in America and he’s tan. It’s interesting, the same actions, but completely different reactions. Tarzann gets a pass, while Kiss of Life gets dragged. That right there is fandom hypocrisy in action. And there’s also a part I don’t get. Why is it okay for a Korean idol who lived in America to do that, but not for a foreigner who’s in Korea, who also spent time in America, or who’s even from there, to do the same? (Not that I think it should be okay for anyone, just to be clear.) And before anyone twists my words: yes, I know the Korean members of Kiss of Life got hate too. But if you’ve been in K-pop long enough, you start to notice that foreign members always get it the worst. Fans tend to assume that foreign idols β€œshould know better” because they’re from outside Asia, while treating Asian idols like they’re too β€œinnocent” to understand. That difference in how people react says a lot. And it’s not just about this one example; it’s everywhere. If people like the idol β†’ β€œThey’re learning.” If they don’t β†’ β€œThey’re canceled.” It’s so predictable at this point. Honestly I’m not mad anymore, I’m just tired. Tired of seeing people twist situations depending on who they stan. I know not every fan is like this, some actually stay fair and consistent, and I respect them a lot. But it’s rare. So I really want to ask: Why do K-pop fans treat the same situations so differently? submitted by /u/seventwinks_carrot [link] [comments]

29. Ex-Blinks, what made you lose interest and leave the fandom?

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

As an Ex-Blink myself I left the fandom due to the lack of comebacks which resulted in me getting bored with the girls and the music. Plus the large increase of toxic blinks made me not want to be associated with that anymore. So I'm genuinely curious, what made you leave the fandom? People who left other fandoms are also welcome to comment, and I look forward to hearing your reasons. submitted by /u/leles_skoldator_lol [link] [comments]
