Hey folks! Over in r/kpop we just posted a new special Town Hall that is focused only on the Flairs we use to help organize our posts based on content categories. Link to r/kpop's 'All About Flairs' Town Hall We included announcements for new flairs here on r/kpoppers and also on r/kpophelp. The following is the section relevant for this subreddit. NEW FLAIRS! Connect - This flair will be used for anything where fans are trying to socially connect with each other. Announcing new K-Pop subreddits or Discords, looking for mutual fans on social media, wanting to meet up at a concert, seeking fans in a region to form a dance group, networking for a fan project, announcing a K-Pop night at a club, etc. Research - Academic surveys related to K-Pop or fandom topics. We'll keep an eye on these new flairs to see if they create any confusion or need adjustments. Yoongi (Agust D) made his first IG post since two years and not even two days later a huge fanwar is going on on X because according to some ARMY, Jennie liked his post and later unliked it. Now both fd’s are at each other’s throats, at the cost of these two artists who, let’s be honest here, are very likely friends or at least acquaintances. ARMY are slutshaming Jennie and calling her an attention seeker and overall being wildly misogynistic. Blinks are needlessly bringing up Yoongi’s “DUI” and calling him a criminal. I have blocked dozens of accounts since I woke up and the worst part is that both think they have the moral high ground. From debut until now, Liz’s look has definitely gone through a noticeable transformation. At first, I thought it might just be a natural glow-up or changes in styling but recently I can’t help but notice how different she looks compared to her debut days. This isn’t meant in a negative way at all, but more as an observation. She seems to be leaning toward a look that reminds me a lot of Wonyoung - whether it’s the styling, makeup choices, or maybe just the overall group concept that Starship is going for. It makes me wonder: is this simply part of her evolving image, or are the members slowly being styled in a way that makes them resemble each other - with Wonyoung being the reference point? I know it's crazy to think that it's not a Twice song as the greatest one ever in company history. But I truly believe it's the best. From ITZY! And it's not a 2nd gen group or NMIXX either. At this point, many 3rd & previous gen idols have established their solo music careers. We’ve seen plenty of 4th gen idols release solo albums now, but I wanna know whom you most anticipate cementing their legacy as a solo artist the way previous artists like Taeyeon, Baekhyun, Zico, etc have! Is there anyone in particular you’re on the lookout for that’s shown strong potential? Personally i love skz Han’s tracks and always look forward to them. 13 is incredible. I think he has potential to become a permanent staple in melodic rap & rnb. I know this is way preemptive but i seriously can’t wait till p1h Jongseob releases a mixtape. I just know it’s gonna be fire. Oh also Soyeon of course, i think she has a solid start. I’m really hoping for a 4th gen female idol with a ballad solo career kinda like Wendy. im still listening to it as we speak but dude!!! this is an amazing album!!! i always saw people online talking about how this is one of the best albums in kpop and i lowkey thought it was mostly token stans parroting this. i saw pink tape as another miniskirt by aoa, wiggle wiggle by hellovenus, or that one t ara song. so finally i gave it a try to see what the hype was all about and i love it! its SO rare that i like songs on the first listen, let alone gg songs (i lean more towards bg songs— it can be hard for me to get into gg songs), and let alone liking a WHOLE ALBUM on the first listen! but these songs are so good! if anyone reading this has never listened to fx or only on a surface level, i urge u to listen to this album. this is like life changing submitted by /u/killforjay [link] [comments]
