Jungkook is receiving a ridiculous amount of hate simply for hanging out with his own bandmate. I know all shippers can get out of hand sometimes, but this is honestly a new low. I remember when they filmed Are You Sure?!, a lot of people who supposedly liked Jungkook actually boycotted it. Then, when he decided to enlist through the buddy system with his bandmate, many shippers and supposed “fans” started tagging the Korean military, demanding they stop what they called “fan service.” And now, with new content being filmed after their discharge, he’s once again getting flooded with hate comments and even threats to send protest trucks — all from these same people. Isn’t this going way too far? How can shipping lead people to torment the very idol they claim to support? Jimin literally calls Jungkook his brother all the time — why do these shippers immediately jump to assuming they’re romantically involved over the stupidest things? submitted by /u/Narrow_Start_5340 [link] [comments]
TLDR if you don't know it: Looks like a cinnamon roll, could kill you (Person A) Looks like they could kill you, is a cinnamon roll (Person B) Looks like a cinnamon roll, is a cinnamon roll (Person C) Looks like they could kill you, could kill you (Person D) submitted by /u/-puca- [link] [comments]
P.S: This isn’t one of those things where I pick the most upvoted comment and put it on the image, it’s just a discussion prompt everyday! submitted by /u/LackOfDad [link] [comments]

I was inspired to post this because of the discussions surrounding that group but it's genuinely something I've been wondering about for a while because even in the west, you will rarely find mixed gender pop bands. It seems to be a feeling shared universally by pop music stans. If it's about dating, I'd say that idols in a same gender group aren't more likely to be celibate than idols in a mixed gender group. Actually, it would be easier for an idol in a conventional band to secretly have a girlfriend or boyfriend away from the cameras than for an idol in a mixed gender group to secretly date a bandmate they have to publicly interact with. Not to mention that lots of regular folks closely work alongside the opposite sex on a daily basis without anything romantic going on. I don't see why idols would be any different. submitted by /u/EternityMoaluv [link] [comments]

This is a shower thought that I had btw... According to my observations, Japanese female idols have seen greater successes with the Korean GP overall. For example, if you think about it, TWICE's J-line (Sana was arguably one of their most popular members in Korea during their peak), LE SSERAFIM's Kazuha and Sakura, aespa's Giselle (half-Japanese/half-Korean), and IVE's Rei - they've all managed to 'hit it off' with the Korean GP at some point, appearing on fashion magazines, receiving CF deals, and with Sakura and Sana even hosting their own variety programs. Whereas it seems that Japanese male idols have not seen a similar level of success - NCT's Yuta, despite his Korean proficiency, has not really 'hit it off' with the Korean GP in the same way, and is arguably one of the lesser popular 127 members in Korea. Other prominent Japanese male idols that I can think of such as ENHYPEN's Ni-ki, TREASURE and NCT WISH's J-line have also not seen a similar level of success amongst the Korean GP. Although brand reputation rankings should be taken with a pinch of salt, they do give an indication of idols' popularity. Whereas Japanese idols have consistently appeared on girl group individual member rankings, the last Japanese idol on the boy group individual member rankings was RIIZE's Shotaro in July 2024. Is this part of the trend of 4th generation girl groups being more popular amongst the GP than 4th gen boy groups, or are Korean audiences less receptive to Japanese male idols? or is it just the popularity of the respective groups submitted by /u/octopus288 [link] [comments]
I legit came across the Music Video for Gameboy (yes there will be an MV) while randomly browsing and without even seeking it myself, WHY exactly is everything being leaked? Is it Hybe leaking everything because I can't comprehend how this would benefit them in any way? P.S: don't try to look for the MV leaks if I could unsee it I would, I got MAJORLY spoiled and am so pissed off submitted by /u/Special-Ad6201 [link] [comments]
I've pruned my main playlist down to 1997 songs. Feel like swapping some music! Ask as many numbers as you want, and I'll link you the songs, and tell you about it. And I would love a song (or several) back! Or just ask anything about the playlist too. Just in the mood to talk music! submitted by /u/pornypete [link] [comments]

All the people begging for a KPOP Demon Hunters sequel have suggested that the only way to get Netflix to greenlight a new one, is to stream the movie, soundtrack, and make content. But that's not enough. On their shop, they only have shirts, hoodies, and a Derpy plushie. No photocards, lanyards, cup sleeves, and light sticks. So, people have started making their own, and even though I haven't checked on availability, I just know they are sold out on Etsy and wherever. Once Netflix sees that, and realizes they can make money off good merch because stans are mad consumerists, they will greenlight a new movie or series! submitted by /u/SBTC_Strays_2002 [link] [comments]

Anybody else convinced that the egregious hate comments, such as “(idol) next Moonbin/Sulli/Taeil/etc. when” that seem to appear on nearly every kpop official account are bots/ai? I know fans can be nasty sometimes, but I see them on every video from big and small groups… it’s getting more than weird. Wondering if anyone else is seeing the same pattern. submitted by /u/travisistired [link] [comments]
Their demon form is based on the Jeoseung Saja (저승사자) aka the Korean version of the grim reaper. I didnt realize it until I was looking up the 저승사자 for an Art project. I feel so stupid lol. submitted by /u/Foreign_Ad_5839 [link] [comments]
The Saja Boys are called that because of the Jeoseung Saja (저승사자)/Korean Grim Reaper that their demon form is based on. I didn't think about it until I looking it up for a art project and I face palmmed so hard submitted by /u/Foreign_Ad_5839 [link] [comments]
K-pop artists release a lot of mini-albums, more than artists in most other industries do. Since a mini-album is a fundamentally different format than a full-length album, lists of best kpop albums are usually dominated by full-lengths, while excellent minis sometimes get overlooked. What are the best examples of great kpop mini-albums iyo? submitted by /u/pussycontrolgonemad [link] [comments]
