Don't nitpick the title of the post, you know what I am talking about. Right now I feel the expectations from every group is to deliver hits after hits after hits especially from girl groups. Lots of talk about how this comeback doesn't hit like before, they couldn't continue their "steak", doomposting, sabotage etc. But expecting every comeback to be the same level or above, it's just not that realistic sometimes some comebacks won't hit the same you will disappointed etc and I am not saying you shouldn't criticise of course you can but I think it's not something that needs overreaction and trolling. Especially if the group is already very popular. I feel some people feel too comfortable to be mean spirited and wait to get the opportunity to be mean and negative especially if they already don't like the group. And I think it's worse for girl groups maybe because they have comparatively less dedicated following than boy groups and much more casual interest and following. The recent situation with Aespa made me want to post this cuz as someone who doesn't keep up with them and doesn't follow them that much it feels like there's a lot of negativity towards them this year especially after the way people loved their music last year so it felt like people were waiting for them to slip ( of course there are valid opinions/discourse about them like their lip syncing ). This reminds me of their girls era where people didn't like their comeback and there was a lot of negativity that time too but it felt like things got better for them last year but then... Again they were the inspiration for this post but I feel this has happened with other groups too. submitted by /u/DiMpLe_dolL003 [link] [comments]

For example I hate when people say that they themself is a "99 liner". To me it doesn't work when you are talking just about singular person, it need at least 3 people IMO to be called line. I in general dislike when people refer to themselves as "liner", I get that it's easier to group up idols. But you can just say "I was born in 99". submitted by /u/Busy-Software-4212 [link] [comments]

Regardless of whether it actually happened or not, is there any release (preferably a promoted one since it has more chance of reaching a wider audience) that made you think that way? The reason could be anything, not necessarily because you don't like the song itself. For example, it's BYOB by Billlie for me. The song is cute, fun, catchy, and a lot of other positive words I could use to describe it. However, I would be lying if I said that I would be completely fine if they decided to lean into that sort of sound for their subsequent releases, which would be more likely to happen if it became popular. submitted by /u/UncannyMelody [link] [comments]
