Chris Appelhans, the creator of the viral Netflix show "K-Pop Demon Hunters," revealed how BTS inspired the project. During the COVID pandemic, Appelhans and Maggie began planning the film amidst global isolation. BTS's online concert, where millions sang and danced to "Dynamite," brought a sense of unity and hope. This moment influenced the creators to craft a film that blends fun, trends, and bold action while capturing the power of music to unite and overcome darkness. The film aims to replicate the experience BTS provided through its characters' journey and music. https://m.entertain.naver.com/home/article/109/0005335485 submitted by /u/Gisntd [link] [comments]
The group is called DIVA X — they dropped “I Make My Choice” two days ago and it barely cracked 2.5k views. Almost no social presence, no real hype, and their 90-minute debut showcase got like 20 live comments total. One of the members apparently used to dance for HyunA, which makes the silence around this even weirder. I did a reaction because literally no one else had. 👉 Here’s the video if you want to watch it with me It’s cold, stripped down, not viral bait — but it kind of stuck in my head. Not saying it’s a masterpiece, but it feels like one of those low-key debuts people might rediscover later. What do y’all think? submitted by /u/DJJonOfficial [link] [comments]
I just wanted to say how gross, disgusting and tone deaf that is. I can’t expect anything else from the shittiest label out there, but Blinks should continue to donate for the trucks and refund their tickets to hit YG where it hurts. He’ll change when he sees half full arenas and half full stadiums. submitted by /u/CosmicCuriosity04 [link] [comments]
I am a multistan and listen to a lot of groups from 2nd to 5th gen, so give it a try (although, im sorry in advance if I don't know the group) submitted by /u/Ohcheejun [link] [comments]
The way he’s throwing gang signs, holding his chain and showboating just comes off as so corny and inauthentic. Like there is no reason to be doing all that, he looks like every other corny asian rapper imitating what they think hip hop is. I’m tired of asian men behaving this way as a costume just to go back to Korea and act like their normal selves again. It’s so corny For reference it’s at the beginning of this video https://youtu.be/LUMaHWJwmbo?si=fe7kPUsM41t2Yc3r I tried to post about it in another sub but got reported and sent 2 reddit cares messages in the span of 5 minutes lol. Edit: and I just got another reddit cares LMAO submitted by /u/etoilez [link] [comments]

im so happy guys like the sun is shining and i am joyful. it may not seem like a big deal but it’s been so long since ive seen the pinks together, like it’s marks the beginning of their reunion. submitted by /u/Armys_blink_once [link] [comments]
this group debuted 2 days ago. the MV barely hit 2.5k views. the debut showcase had ~20 live comments. zero promo. almost no social footprint. and yet... i think there’s something here. i watched the MV. reacted to it. and honestly? i can’t tell if they’re slept on or just off the radar entirely. here’s the video if you want to watch with me curious what you think — is this group quietly interesting or just DOA? submitted by /u/DJJonOfficial [link] [comments]

Rank (up to) the Top 25 artists that you want to see get a Top Ten Tuesday in the second half of 2025. #1 gets 25 points, #2 gets 24 points, #3 gets 23 points, etc. You can list <25 artists if you want. Upvoting/Downvoting someone else's ranking won't affect the results. The schedule for the 2nd Half of 2025 will be decided partly by the public vote, and partly through my personal selections . Groups and solo artists are considered separate. Sub-units are included with their group's TTT. Artists that currently have less than 15 songs are not eligible (OSTs, remixes, alternate versions, and instrumentals do not count towards the 15). The following artists have been guaranteed a TTT in the second half of 2025 and thus are ineligible to be voted for (as they already will get a TTT): A.C.E, Billlie, Golden Child, JO1, Kep1er, LE SSERAFIM, ONF, PIXY, SF9, Tempest, Verivery, Weeekly You are highly encouraged to look at & use this helper sheet while voting: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OB7Qgwc7RNNzQXCz5T41dBmzz9_LiCWxFOkdr0o1MYY/edit?usp=sharing. (The spreadsheet contains a list of notable artists that have not received a TTT yet, as well as artists that have released a lot of notable songs since their last TTT and/or have not had a TTT in a long time.) Due to the "must be a 2 year gap between an artist's previous TTT and their next TTT" rule, all artists with a TTT in 2024-2025 are ineligible to have another TTT in the second half of 2025. Additionally, new artists can only have a TTT if they debuted before July 2023 (ie. artists must have passed 2.5 years since their debut by the time they get a TTT) A list of ineligible artists can be found here. Schedule: July 8th: Stray Kids July 15th: Songs of 2020-2024 July 22th: XG & H1-Key (Full schedule can be found in the spreadsheet linked below.) This is no hate to either idol I'm mentioning it's just really frustrating to see this. I'm sure most have seen the clips of J-Hope at that LV event. I'm not sharing my opinions on the look or his behaviour, just what I've seen most people mention. There are a lot of people pointing out that J-Hope's mannerisms in that clip are reminiscent of G-Dragon's usual, daily mannerisms. Nothing wrong with pointing out similarities. What's really frustrating to me is that some people are turning it around to hate on GD. I'm getting the feeling that people aren't a big fan of the behaviour J-Hope was displaying in the clip, so they're now all blaming GD for it. And in general just being horrible. He's not responsible for the way another person acts, or dresses. submitted by /u/sunflowersandpears [link] [comments]

I don't know what's in the water lately, or if this is just the latest strange groupthink attempt to undermine ARMY and BG stans in general (as it's often flipped into a generalization) via gross female fan stereotypes, but I've seen several posts and comments about how the loud support of J-hope's dance partner for Killin' It Girl and Sana after he was on her show is basically a form of 'copium'. If some people genuinely believe this is true, than it's 1. wildly misogynistic, 2. ignores the age and demographic of most ARMY, 3, suggests there are many people in this scene who are so attached to gender stereotypes about female fans they have to make up complex justifications for keeping them alive in the face of conflicting information. Statistically, ARMY are mostly women with a healthy dose of men around BTS's age/in our 20s-40s, and educated. Other than in certain festering corners on x, where there's shippers, solos (mostly fans of other groups) and a small but frothy loud mix of set-up accounts and drama mongers, you can see this reflected in the fandom discourse in general. We are on average grown-ass women who enjoy seeing BTS act grown and interacting with women, especially since they're polite and sweet and treat those women well, and we're loud and happy about it because it's new and novel and fun. And, in the case of the dancer, sexy in a performance way. It confirms our opinions of them and that they like women. Also lots and lots of very active feminism. You just have to go to a Bangtan concert to see this in action. Overwhelmingly happy ladies and just the nicest people geeked to be there and chatter and share water and treats and stories and give out freebies. At the best of times we are a very joyful fanbase, and will extend that to the members' female friends and colleagues. Yes yes we are a fandom of millions and I'm sure there are endless individual or group examples of toxic af behavior, but the pleasure is legit and it's so loud because it's mainstream, not because we're coping with anything. It really is that simple. submitted by /u/Ocean_Desert_World [link] [comments]
