759. BTS are not the best vocalists in Kpop

  • 6 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Oh boy this might be the end for me. First of all, i do not hate any of the bts members or their songs however, i do think that their vocals are really underdeveloped. I got into kpop back in 2016 during the time when exo realesed monster, at that time exo and bts were the biggest thing in kpop and i really enjoyed both of them. Exo had insane vocals while bts had insane rappers. Both of them had very good choreographies and Individual dancers. Back when i was younger bts had the biggest fandom in the world probably and of course they were praising their favourites in every way, that's why i also always assumed that bts were the best and most talented group. Time has passed and i got older, nowadays i listen to way more groups and i look deep into music and care about lyrics, vocals, production and just talent in general. One thing i have noticed, is that bts compared to others are really weak in singing, sure jungkook is great but V, Jin and espacily jimin are not that great. I know that bts started of as a rap group so vocals weren't a big thing for them in the beginning years, but i really wonder what happened to jimins voice, i actually think his vocals used to be way better during the early years, nowadays his voice really doesn't sound to good and it also sounds like he is forcing his voice too much. V and Jin are defently better vocalists than jimin but they are still underdeveloped and far away of what they can be. I don't know if bts just doesn't take vocal lessons to seriously since they are already successful, or maybe they just learn wrong techniques. I don't even know how to explain this. Like baekhyun of exo is a very good and probably one of the best vocalist in the Industy, and he still takes vocal lessons because there is always room for development. Again i don't hate bts at all, i like alot of their music espacily the older songs, i just realized that their vocals aren't as good as alot of people say they are. submitted by /u/Injeolmie_04 [link] [comments]

763. Is taehyung cooking something? ( Just wanna know your pov)

  • 6 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Okay so I watched his vlive yesterday and I feel like he is definitely cooking something. He said that he is working on something really hard , and it's not that big but for him it's big. And he started to work on it just after 3 to 4 days of his return. And on the last day of his military service he posted a pic with director " park chan wook" and now recently he was spotted with park chan wook in a piano concert. And in addition Director park chan wook is known for his complex movies. Which are really good. Whatever it is I am really routing for taehyung. If it's a big deal for him , it's definitely something bigggg. And also .... WELCOME BACK YOONGIIIII!!!!!✨ Now we are officially back. submitted by /u/mystical_0603 [link] [comments]

764. ITZY has the member line up with more variety than any other group.

  • reddit.com language

I'm not saying that its members are collectively stronger than any other group or that other groups don't have line ups with variety. I'm just saying ITZY's members really have no overlap and are so district from one another that it makes each of them stand out each and every time. No one gets overshadowed because none of them ever look like their competing to do the same thing visually. Yeji, the cool one. Ryujin, the bad one. Lia, the sweet one. Chaeryeong, the elegant one. Yuna, the hot one. Every single comeback, each of them pop, all at once. submitted by /u/Beginning-Bad2979 [link] [comments]

765. Have any of u ever been scammed when u buy anything related to kpop?

Yesterday I just got scammed because I want to get my access back into my fanacc (got logout & cant login ever again since the email & phone arent connect to the acc, I only have the uname) so I reach out to someone called a recovery service acc on twit and yeah I feel so dumb that I believe someone can recovered an acc just by using username 😭💔 Later then I've began to read more testimoni from fellow scammers's victims and saw many kpop accs got scammed too, be it scammed by recovery service like mine, or concert ticket, or merch, etc😭 and mostly are losing huge amount of money, mine wasnt that much so seeing others getting scammed that much makes me think like "damn how can they ever let it go after that?💔" (Idk which flair I should choose for this topic but lets go with general since it suits the most I guess) submitted by /u/meshin98 [link] [comments]

774. The Story: ILLIT as the Borrowed Cats...

  • 6 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

ILLIT are the "borrowed cats" in this story - awkward, overthinking, and perceived as detached. But they finds a catalyst which coaxes them from the couch to the dance floor, and fuels their desire to "do a little dance". (In MV, catalyst is a Love Interest, In real life catalyst could represent their fans "Glitts") The Korean title "빌려온 고양이" (Billyeoon Goyangi), which translates to "borrowed cat." This is a fantastic idiom for someone who feels detached and out of place in a social situation. Imagine being at a party, sitting alone on the couch, quiet and unresponsive. You're a 'borrowed cat' - uncomfortable in an unfamiliar environment, socially removed, but very much noticed. (noticed part is to be emphasized and given attention here) This directly conflicts with the English title, "Do the Dance." In English, this phrase often could means to participate in a way that's expected of you. For example: - To get a promotion, you have to "do the dance" of corporate life (Behave in a way that is expected of a corporate environment). - To fit in at a party, you literally have to get up and dance. So we have two opposing ideas: the Korean title represents being unresponsive and doing nothing, while the English title is about participating and doing something. I can't help but see a second layer here about ILLIT's own journey. Think about it: they were thrust into an industry where everyone already had strong opinions about them. After quite heavy waves of irrational hatred, Of course they'd behave like borrowed cats. When you get burned for putting yourself out there, you become reserved. Why blame the cat for for taking a while to find its own comfort when there're people who forcibly placed them in such an environment ? People blame a borrowed cat for being inactive or making any little mistake, but it's a survival instinct - it's assessing its environment before it can relax. Perhaps this album is ILLIT's "acclimation process." - a transition from them being borrowed cats to becoming dancer. (metaphorically speaking) The title "Do the Dance" represent the members decision to rise to the occasion, to "do the dance" and become the artists they want to be, despite the scrutiny. submitted by /u/SectionReasonable304 [link] [comments]
