I had this silly idea and thought it could be fun to try with others Imagine if your favorite K-pop or indie song was a flavor of ice cream. What would it taste like? Here’s my example: 🎧 “Seiren” by HYUIL = honey lavender swirl → Delicate, dreamy, with a whisper of floral sweetness like drifting into a calm evening glow. Feel free to be serious, silly, poetic, or chaotic. Bonus points if you explain your reasoning! 🍨 submitted by /u/Positive_Glass_442 [link] [comments]

Let me start by saying I’m not a BLACKPINK stan. I don’t follow their comebacks closely, I’m not in the fandom, and I probably couldn’t name every song in their discography. But I’m a K-pop fan in general, and from that position, I just have to say… the amount of unnecessary hate this group gets is honestly exhausting to witness. It feels like no matter what they do, there’s this swarm of negativity waiting to tear them down, for existing, for performing, for speaking, for breathing. They could post a 20-second clip from a stage and people will rush to the comments to critique their energy, vocals, expressions, outfits, and more, most of the time completely out of proportion. And I get it,I’m not even a BLACKPINK fan, but the constant hate is honestly exhausting to watch. not every group is for everyone. You don’t have to like them. You can even have your criticisms or think they're overhyped or overexposed. But what’s not normal is going out of your way to comment on every single thing you dislike and starting a hate train that spirals into targeted harassment and unnecessary drama. It’s tiring, and it’s frankly embarrassing. There are fans out there who genuinely love BLACKPINK. They go to their concerts, support their music, and enjoy what the girls bring to the table. And whether you agree with it or not, that’s completely valid. Not every performer has to meet your personal expectations for them to be loved by someone else. That’s how music and entertainment work it’s subjective. You’re not being “real” or “brave” by constantly hating on them. You’re just adding to the noise. And honestly, for those of us who are just bystanders, it’s gotten to the point where it ruins the entire vibe of being in K-pop spaces. It's always the same comments, the same dragging, the same nitpicking, and the same bitter energy. You don’t have to like BLACKPINK. But you also don’t have to say something every time they show up on your feed. Not everything you dislike needs your opinion attached to it. Just scroll. Mute. Block. Move on. It costs zero. Let the fans love their group in peace. Let people enjoy things without turning it into a battlefield every time. Because even as someone who’s not a fan, I can see how unfair and exhausting the hate has become. submitted by /u/Critical_Year_4762 [link] [comments]

For their concert in Paris at Stade de France, over 121,000 tickets were sold for two sold-out shows, setting a record for the highest attendance of an asian concert in France and ranking among the top asian tours in Europe for attendance and revenue. Stade de France, July 26-27, 2025 Sale Rate: 100% Tickets Sold: 124,118+ Net Attendance: 124,118+ On average, they gathered over 62,000 fans each day. These are the largest concerts by K-pop artists at Stade de France and in France overall. They also mark Stray Kids' biggest shows, surpassing their concerts in Japan, Latin America, and the U.S. Source: kbgmedia, touringasia submitted by /u/Wonderful-Ad7877 [link] [comments]

I'm surprised for a established group for a while now hasn't had a us tour yet, especially with them being under Hybe. So far I've only seen them have an Asia tour. I know recently they debuted a new boy group under the same label and I have a feeling in the future, when they have more songs and popularity, that this group will also probably won't get a US tour either. I have a feeling that hybe doesn't want to push their Japanese based groups on the same level as their Korean ones and solely have them stay in Japan / Asia. Because so far I think all Hybe groups have gotten US tours except for &team and they are popular enough to get fans to buy tickets. submitted by /u/MochaMilku [link] [comments]
I’ve noticed this since like blackpink rookie era, but YG entertainment legitimately just…isolates their idols, especially their girl groups. You never see them doing things with other idols, in interviews, or on music shows despite that being necessary for rookie groups to promote. You don’t see them making tik toks with other idols, and they don’t even interact with other idols under their own label. I feel like if treasure and babymonster would get more traction if they went the normal idol route. And I mean yes bp is already crazy popular, but they seem to have so many idol friends and it would be cool to see them with said friends. Idk, I guess I just wanted to know if there was a reason for this. submitted by /u/Civil-Key-1424 [link] [comments]

I saw this video on Instagram and felt the need to share it here. Let's stop covering up the sun with our fingers. Let's stop looking the other way when it comes to idol abuse. Let's stop making the situation worse. Boycott abuse. Boycott those who spew hate. IDOLS ARE NOT ROBOTS. "IDOL DOESNT MEAN YOUR DOLL TO FUCK WITH." just a random thought that crossed my mind. because other idols i’ve know and those who i stan had always set their eyes in either fashion, business, or k-entertainment (in any forms, like to be a singer or actor). is there someone who actually expressed interest in medical field PRIOR or AFTER being an idol? not particularly a doctor, but anything under the med umbrella. i might know someone, but have forgotten. or never encountered anyone at all. submitted by /u/Psychological-Ad6558 [link] [comments]
