3. Why do some fans dislike or look down on multis?

  • 1 hour ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hey everyone, This is a genuine question and I’m curious about your thoughts. I’ve noticed in a lot of K-pop spaces/socmed that some people seem to really dislike multis (fans who stan multiple groups). I’m wondering why that is. For me, being a multi just means you enjoy more music and support more artists. But I’ve seen people call multis “fake fans,” say they “don’t really care about the group,” or act as if they’re betraying their faves by liking more than one group. Do you think this comes from competitiveness between fandoms? Is it about streaming/voting priorities? Or do you think it’s more about wanting exclusivity and loyalty from fans? Would love to hear your perspectives (respectfully, of course). submitted by /u/Dry_Front_9037 [link] [comments]

13. Seems like Cortis still has a good chance at snagging Rookie of the Year at MAMA 2025.

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This is just the current prediction as of Sept 9, but right after debut they shot up to #4. Their digitals and global performance are already the best among other boy groups, and this isn’t even counting their album sales yet. Plus, judges usually lean toward big agencies, so it’s probably between Cortis or Kickflip. Because Kickflip’s having a comeback this September too. But one thing’s for sure, after MAMA, it’s gonna be tough for other rookie boy groups to catch up with Cortis. What do you guys think submitted by /u/Difficult_Bit_3025 [link] [comments]

15. Expanding on my OC fan concept for a potential Kpop Demon Hunters sequel idea (Final Re-make)

  • 4 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi everyone! Following up from my earlier post about Ryder (Would a country-rock rookie singer ever fit into a Kpop Demon Hunters sequel), I wanted refine his concept and expand Ryder’s backstory to clarify why he’s an outsider. Backstory: Ryder comes from the U.S., where he grew up being told he was “different”, and told he would never belong. His love for country-rock gave him an outlet, but he always felt like an outsider at home. When he moves to Seoul to chase musical dreams, he ends up auditioning for HUNTR/X (which he won), not to replace the girls, but to prove he can stand with them and fight as part of their team. In the sequel idea: After the Honmoon shatters and Gwi-Ma returns stronger, the girls are struggling with insecurities and the heavy responsibility of fighting alone. Ryder’s addition isn’t about tradition-breaking without reason, the story itself would wrestle with that conflict. The girls doubt him. He doubts himself. But his arc is about earning his place, not taking theirs. Battle style: His weapon would be a battle-axe guitar: the handle shaped like a guitar neck, with the top half glowing like energy, and the other half shaped like a guitar body. He’d fight with rhythm-based moves while covering the girls’ blind spots, supporting their more powerful attacks. It’s his own unique weapon to fight demons with the girls. My question for the community is: Would this work in a sequel without breaking what makes HUNTR/X special? I also want to thank everyone who gave me feedback on my earlier drafts! Your comments really helped me refine Ryder into something that feels more balanced and hopefully fitting for a sequel concept. (Reminder: this is purely a fan sequel concept I’ve been working on for fun. Nothing official.) submitted by /u/Dg975 [link] [comments]

17. Why XLOV's Concept Isn’t Genderless

  • 4 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’ve been seeing a lot of people call XLOV “genderless,” but honestly, their concept feels way more like a feminine or girl-group style than anything neutral. https://preview.redd.it/gni4zmp9otof1.jpg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=310c656bf9085986ba2c2b0e190dd546c44584c7 https://preview.redd.it/l5yavfogotof1.jpg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b568a7bd05dbc0a67db1a6984600535e630e657a Their styling, choreography, and outfits are very traditionally feminine (nails, makeup, hair extensions, etc.). If a girl group did the exact same concept, no one would even question it, it would just be a girl group concept. Calling it “genderless” feels misleading and seems more like a branding angle than an actual neutral approach. I’m not saying people can’t enjoy them, but we should call it what it actually is instead of pretending it’s something it’s not. Thoughts? submitted by /u/Trick_Director7825 [link] [comments]

19. 2025 has been the year of soloists

  • 5 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Don’t get me wrong, there have been some incredible group releases this year. NMIXX and ARTMS come to mind as dropping some of my favorite projects of 2025. But when I look overall at what I’ve been enjoying in k-pop this year, the soloists are taking it. I’ve included some of my favorites but it was hard to narrow down because the quality has been just so good. Any other solo projects that dropped this year that I should check out? submitted by /u/hexgirlgroupie420 [link] [comments]

20. What’s the darkest K-pop album artwork you’ve seen?

  • reddit.com language

Hey everyone! I’ve been scrolling n listening through a lot of Kpop albums and it seems like most of the covers are really bright colorful and poppy yk i mean.. it is fun don’t get me wrong but like.. it got me wondering which albums go the complete opposite direction? I’m talking about the dark, moody, intense, sad or even kind of haunting artwork that really sets a whole different vibe for the music yk?. Some covers just make you feel the atmosphere before you even listen to the album lol So what do you think are the darkest or most intense K-pop album covers out there? Would love to see your picks and hear why they stuck with you! submitted by /u/DrearBeats [link] [comments]
