Hyunah’s instagram caption is so disturbing but it’s also the reality of ED culture in korea
I dont follow her, it just popped up on my feed But it translates to: “Hyunah, you fucking ate A LOT. Wake the fuck up and lets go on a strict diet now. You loved it when you were skin and bones, lets go back to that” It’s obviously hard to translate korean to english 100% accurately but she’s basically photodumping her old photos and saying she needs to go back to when she was underweight like that. This is so disturbing but this is also how a lot of Koreans talk about themselves when it comes to diet and body image in general. I hate it so much submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]

8. In the Midst of Golden's #1 Streak, there is an Anamoly Called Woodz's Drowning.

Mind you, this was released back in April 2023. In the midst of all the fame Golden is getting, the #1 streaks that don't stop, there is an anomaly of a song that keeps charting for over a year now. It's been on Melon weekly top 10 for about 40 weeks now. It holds the record as the #1 longest charting song by any male act and overall 3rd longest in history. The song originally released in April 2023, but it started charting only after a year, around October 2024. Exactly one year it has been. And it went for a long and steady ride. It's pretty surprising coz the genre is Rock/Alt + Ballad. And given the fact that he is only 29 years old and grasping that audience who primarily love slow Rock and emotional ballad, when we have an overcrowded genre called Kpop. Also, Lim Young-woong is another anomaly by himself, but even one of his records were broken by Drowning. The song entered the charts after a viral performance on "Immortal Songs" led to a "reverse-sweep" phenomenon that began in October 2024. Bro enlisted in the military and came back, while his song is still charting. How cool is that. submitted by /u/Daddy1007a [link] [comments]

If you don’t mind me asking, where are you from? I’d love to hear why K-pop is so popular there or if it’s still kind of a niche thing, what made you personally get into it. submitted by /u/Fresh_Economics_715 [link] [comments]

13. What is the very best Kpop live performance you have ever seen?

  • 2 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I mean like mind blowingly good. It can be about the dance, vocals or stage presence or all three preferably. To me nothing will ever come close to Jonghyun performing y si fuera ella. No kpop idol will ever reach that level of stage presence and emotion. submitted by /u/iminkneedoflove [link] [comments]

20. am i still considered a kpop fan even if im dedicated to only 2 groups?

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I know about other groups, been knowing about kpop for a decade now but I dont like male groups and I dont care for other groups other than Twice and IVE- because I like to focus on one group only instead of having too many on my plate and not knowing every group as well as i can/ not focusing on them? I find many of the male kpop idols repulsive and childlike to me btw? but girl groups are cool, but as I've said, I only actually like Twice and IVE? I don't care/ I honest dont like the bigger ones like BTS/ EXO/ Blackpink etc??? TXT is also not my taste... submitted by /u/aerona_angel [link] [comments]

I feel like every idol has that comeback where the stylist just doesn't miss, for me that was Yena's comeback "Being a good girl hurts" every performance was just such a look! I also loved the styling during Aespas "Supernova" all the looks were so fun and fresh! What comebacks stick out to you the most in terms of styling? submitted by /u/0x1trinity [link] [comments]
