I recently came across a tweet saying its dystopian that idols have fake birthdays so they can spend their real ones with their loved ones, while I do agree that it /is/ dystopian, I wonder how does that work especially with brands that sent them stuff on their birthday? Or when their families greet them on their birthday? What do you guys think? submitted by /u/lisaluvr [link] [comments]

I don't understand why this group is even being considered in such records when it's not even a real group. Every other day I see such tweets and posts about them breaking this and that record (along with Saja Boys) like bruh it's literally a virtual group i dont care if it is even famous ffs submitted by /u/Initial-Purchase-141 [link] [comments]

My pick: Red Flavor by RV. It just doesn't get old. It's so refreshing and summery, and instantly puts you in a good mood. submitted by /u/rainbow_gemini [link] [comments]
Tldr; title + i feel idols should have the freedom to cover whatever they want without judgement from fans and non-fans but that's an idealistic take ngl It's something I've noticed in the past weeks where fans are constantly wanting their idols to cover Golden and critiquing others' covers. Not saying that it's wrong, there are certainly songs I would want to be covered too but I personally feel that would kind of stress the idol I think in the past, idols cover songs because they like the song or they like the dance and want to show that to their fans but now it's sort of becoming because the fans demand it or it's part of promotions (of course, there are idols who do it because they want to). But then I think about some idols' need to be perfect in whatever they do because it's expected of them by many people and suddenly covering a song might become stressful, even for an experienced idol. They get compared to other idols to see who did it "better", whose voice/dance seems more "natural", or even whether the cover beats the original, like everything is a competition. Imo every idol has their own unique tone and range that fits specific songs. These tones/range can be absolutely loved by fans and disliked or not liked as much by others but that doesn't mean you get to throw hate at the idol for not singing to your expectations. I'm aware that I don't know what the idol may be thinking or if they even care for it at all. I'm just thinking about the logistics behind a cover and rationalising a bit (for myself tbh) on why some idols may not want to cover a song. submitted by /u/Hirizu [link] [comments]
Just wanted to say how blown away I am by Elisia. I stumbled across her eyes, nose, lips cover recently and i’ve been hooked ever since. This is my favourite so far. Her vocals are seriously beautiful. It’s amazing how polished and refined her voice is, especially considering how young she is (born in 2009). Her part of your world cover also really stood out to me. Her voice was soft and clear, it fit the song really well. She is the type of person to understand the lyrics and connect with the song. Her vocals in her first burn cover brought the song to life. She is really talented and i’m really excited to hear more from her as she grows. Her vocals deserve more love. submitted by /u/brushandmuse [link] [comments]

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but ever since the pandemic, the kpop fans have learnt some new words and phrases and apply it to force their ship or rumored kpop couple (spread by verified chart/kpop/gossip accounts on social media). Now we all know how kpop fans can be delusional and have parasocial relationships with their idols. Specially in South Korea. However, not all fans are like that. And most adult fans actually accept (not that they have to) or assume that their favs are in relationships. What’s weird is that, new gen kpop fans use this to force their ship or rumored/unconfirmed couple on everyone. Basically they are spreading misinformation about real people. If anyone says this is not true or asks for confirmation, they all chant “they didn’t deny, so it must be true” , “ugh parasocial relationship”, “stop being delulu” . The proof is they wore same brand of clothes, same jacket, went to each other concert, social media interaction , even recommending or dancing to eo songs. I don’t know if it’s some kind of fetish or what but this whole thing is seriously weird. If a kpop idol wants to reveal their relationship with someone, they will do it. If they don’t want it, they won’t. You can’t spread misinformation about an imaginary couple and claim it as some kind of revolution against dating ban. It’s like humiliating idols for their plastic surgery and veneers and say “we just wanna get rid of beauty standard🥺”. submitted by /u/Gisntd [link] [comments]
