478. did anybody else find that enhypen spotify quiz a little uncomfortable or hard to finish?

  • 4 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

i didn’t know whether to tag this rant or thought but here i am because that whole quiz was insane, i get that their whole thing is the bf concept but its like that for so many other groups that do said concept and do do it… not as intense as enhypen do it. and to make things worse you could see the members cringe at the quiz too, riki and sunoo cant hide their emotions anyways whenever theyre grossed out or cringing but jesus i felt so bad behind the screen for them lmao. im just more upset they dropped their older lore, aka what pulled me in fully. after orange blood it feels like they lost their identity and started pumping out fanservice you can tell makes the members uncomfortable at certain points or just whenever they do it. Even if fanservice has been a part of the enhypen branding since like day one, it's clearly getting out of hand. jungwon throwing in comments about how he doesn’t really vibe with the concept all too well and for some reason they (staff) just dont let him speak or he just stops himself. im convinced they were waiting for niki to turn 19 so they could get all this rolling and it makes me so mad since hes been forced to do weird fanservice since he was a kid and my heart hurts for him. this rant isn’t hate its just pilled up thoughs so dont take my opinion as gospel if you disagree submitted by /u/notoriouslozer [link] [comments]

479. I wish i-dle did more of their older concept.

Songs like: HWAA, Oh my god, HANN Put It Straight....etc. is what made stan i-dle. I do like their new songs but there is just something in the older music that makes it feel very nostalgic and the sound is very ancient sounding. I just wish they would come with another album like those again because they are truly amazing. And it's ok if you disagree, we all have different tastes and opinions. :) submitted by /u/SatisfactionAdept548 [link] [comments]

480. If you could only listen to one group for the rest of your life, what group would it be?

As the title says, if you had to choose one single kpop group (or soloist) to listen to for the rest of your life, what group would you choose and why? I would personally choose ITZY. They are one of my ult groups and they have a pretty big and diverse discography. submitted by /u/roses_are_rosie1206 [link] [comments]

481. Beyond The Album - ITZY Will be ITZY

  • reddit.com language

╔══════════════╗ Hey everyone, today JYP girl group ITZY has returned with their new five-track mini-album, one I've been excited to hear. ITZY had a great 2024 delivering two fire albums that kept popping up on my playlist like crazy. I'm hoping this new album from the group will be something that will be on repeat for me. Now let's jump into the record and see what the producers and ITZY have brought to the table. ╚══════════════╝ https://preview.redd.it/mtievztc0y5f1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=04cd2b97c9beadd84174ef51d54ece3a6f0c1c7b Girls will be Girls - ITZY Girls will be Girls Ryan S. Jhun & The Wavys are the producers for the opening track on the album. The song opens with chanting vocals before the vibe is introduced. The members put on a great performance that blends wonderfully with the overall vibe. I love the attitude the members have as they flow with the overall vibe. The hook has been growing on me with each listen to this tune as it's starting to get stuck in my head. The instrumental beat section we get adds to the overall vibe opening up the album in a great direction. https://preview.redd.it/61d6e5zn0y5f1.jpg?width=610&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5688d6abedce73d78659e7f2b5528c9f87d7eb2a ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Kiss & Tell The second song on the album gives ITZY a lot of vocal effects and autotune which took me by surprise. The backing track goes for this electronic synth vibe that does fit with the group, but it's the autotune making this tune a little strange for me. I do think the group still puts on a good performance, but I feel like we didn't need all these vocal effects cause the group has some good vocalists. I'm hoping this tune will grow on me, but with the members sounding like robots, it's going to be a challenge for this track to grow on me but will see as time goes on. https://preview.redd.it/wylto2yq0y5f1.jpg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=530ac913b227e86cbfb5e63921eba06779617c1f ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Locked N Loaded Locked N Loaded is another song on the album becoming one of my favorites as ITZY puts on a killer performance. Synths open up the track as the member's smooth vocals come into the mix. I love the tone the members use in their singing as it as a little bit of depth to the tune. The hook has a bit of a bouncy vibe that works well with the overall vibe the producers crafted. One thing this song delivers is a guitar solo that adds to the vibe, but I will say wish this track was a bit longer cause it needs to be fleshed out a bit. https://preview.redd.it/5o4nzlqu0y5f1.jpg?width=2560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=09b077ab157249ab2769730826e813ce3b6cca22 ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ 4. Promise Promise is the only 3-minute song on the album and a pretty sweet one. The members' smooth sweet vocals blend perfectly with the piano melody and the drum machine percussion section. I've always loved hearing a softer side to the group as it switches things up for them. Promise is my favorite track on the project as it works perfectly for ITZY and does sound like it's too short for its god. During the bridge, we get some high notes that add to the vibe keeping me interested in this tune and wanting to hear it all over again from the start. https://preview.redd.it/l68enfzx0y5f1.jpg?width=942&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42f21dc691a8a80276b572c2b9f1462ecf2ee3b6 ━━━━━━━━☓ ━━━━━━━ Walk Walk closes out the album with a tune that's going to have to grow on me more. While the bouncy instrumental helps move the track forward I feel like the hook is a bit too repetitive for my liking. I find Walk does a decent job closing out the project, but feel like it could've been a stronger closer to this record. I hope this tune grows on me cause it does have moments I like from the verses to the group's vocals. Now I will say the hook grows on me a smidge, but this tune is way too short to grow into something amazing. https://preview.redd.it/661ustn11y5f1.jpg?width=610&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b265e2315f81eef01a474e5d91b67927e756c22c ╔══════════════╗ Summary: ITZY is back with a new mini album one that I think will be growing on me the more I listen to it. One thing I will say is a lot of the tracks need to be fleshed out more cause they are way too short and feel like they could've added a few more minutes to them. Kiss & Tell didn't need autotune cause I think ITZY has some good vocalists. Girls Will be Girls does a great job opening up the record while Walk closes out the album in a decent way. Promise is a sweet tune that shows a softer side of the group as it still fits the overall vibe of the album. I'm still glad the group has returned with new music, but I will have to see if this record will grow on me over time or will my opinion of it will stay the same. ╚══════════════╝ https://preview.redd.it/d53apl521y5f1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f0320b6da69bb1c74449f4627fbfc779864215bf submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]

482. lesserafim is the biggest gg in the USA (yes including newjeans)

  • 4 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

LE SSERAFIM currently hold the edge in overall US popularity, thanks to three top-10 Billboard 200 debuts in 24 months, their first Hot 100 entries, the largest Spotify footprint of the cohort, and a North America leg on their 2025 world tour. NewJeans, aespa, and IVE aren’t far behind in specific areas (and the gap could close fast), but the numbers below give LE SSERAFIM a narrow but clear lead. How I measured “biggest” 1. US chart performance • Billboard 200 peaks for albums/EPs • Hot 100 entries for singles 2. Streaming footprint current Spotify monthly listeners (global figure, but still the best apples to apples proxy we have). 3. Touring & live visibility announced or completed U S shows, festivals, ticket demand. 4.Mainstream reach: TV/award show slots, brand endorsements in the U S market. Group-by-group breakdown LE SSERAFIM • Billboard streak: three top-10 albums in two years (#6 Unforgiven, #7 Crazy, #9 HOT) • Singles traction: “Crazy” became their first U S Hot 100 entry at #76 and lasted multiple weeks • Streaming clout: ~15 M Spotify listeners, highest of the cohort (Now it’s 12.8 million, still the highest, peaked at 16.2 million) • Visibility: VMAs pre-show set & Moon Person win in 2024, Louis Vuitton + Sony brand deals. • Next moves: EASY CRAZY HOT world tour hits North America in Sept 2025 NewJeans • Historic #1: Get Up EP debuted atop the Billboard 200 and stayed 26 wks on the chart; still holds longevity records for a 4th-gen GG • Viral everywhere else: “Super Shy” & “ETA” dominate TikTok/Global 200, but haven’t cracked the Hot 100 yet. • Streaming: ~12 M monthly listeners • Touring: first world tour confirmed for 2025; NA schedule not released yet aespa • Consistency queen: first GG ever with six consecutive top-50 entries on the Billboard 200; latest Whiplash #50 • Spotify: ~9 M listeners • Live footprint: second world-tour adds nine NA arenas (Seattle → Chicago) early 2025 • Brands: Prada, Converse, MAC, plus a Billboard Women-in-Music “Group of the Year” trophy in March 2025. IVE • Chart story: steady on World Albums (top-10) but haven’t broken the main B200 top-50 yet • Mass touring: 420 k tickets across 28 cities in 2024-25 tour cycle • Streaming: ~5.5 M monthly listeners respectable but below the other three • Stateside buzz: Lollapalooza 2024 main stage, indie-fashion endorsements (e.g., Wonyoung x Tiffany). Why LE SSERAFIM lead (for now) • Most top-10 albums on the B200 (and the fastest cadence) • First Hot 100 penetration among their peer set • Largest streaming audience of any active K-pop GG except BLACKPINK & TWICE (for a while they peaked with more streams than blackpink, that only lasted a week and it was shortly after their recent hot comeback) • A full scale NA tour on the books for fall 2025 It’s a close race, NewJeans already own a #1 album and could surge if their next comeback lands a US single hit (but it’s likely we won’t ever see another song from them let alone an album), while aespa’s relentless hits rollout plus arena shows keep them firmly in the conversation. IVE lag on the charts but compensate with touring heft and viral b-sides. What do you think? • Do chart peaks matter more than sustained streams? • Could aespa’s upcoming release dirty work push them to the top? Little side note, I think the hate train on Lesserafim was horrible but it also pushed their name out there even more.. submitted by /u/Trick-Force11 [link] [comments]

483. People perceived ITZY as a group with highs and lows. ITZY just kept aiming higher.

I think I’ve done a post for the past 2 comebacks on here so I want to write yet another one. No matter how you perceive this group, their hard work, drive and passion always shine through. I can’t help but be in awe of their perseverance in this ever changing and evolving industry. Granted I’m writing this as a huge midzy, but in the past 7 years ITZY never really did anything that made me waiver my love for them. I kept listening, watching and understanding their every venture even if I wasn’t 110% on board. With GWBG, I saw a clear strong message. “We’re here. We’re five. Forever and always” I think my most favorite part of the song is something so subtle, but sets the mood perfectly; at the 11 second mark when the instrumental kicks in, It feels so grand, so powerful. Keep shining ITZY, but that shouldn’t be hard since your light never dimmed in the first place ✨ submitted by /u/Dilemma_stress [link] [comments]

490. Was ITZY's title track the wrong choice ?

  • 4 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Kiss and Tell , regardless of autotune would've been the better choice imo. With GWBG as a b-side. I did not expect a track of that quality from them tbfh. The production quality rivals Aespa 's and it perfectly caters to their performance heavy build. Hopefully they promote tf out of it. A performance to this would be crazy. submitted by /u/Glum_Significance834 [link] [comments]

493. Which idol is extremely good-looking but does not get enough recognition for their beauty?

  • 4 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Mine would be Haewon and Chuu. I feel like their beauty is tend to get ignored because of how they are perceived. Haewon is seen as someone that's really funny and someone that sings well. Chuu also is seen as that funny, cutesy, and meme-able girl, and she sings well too. I get so shocked whenever people yalk about literally everything except their beauty because both of these girls get me mesmerized everytime. submitted by /u/Old_Elephant2949 [link] [comments]

495. I kept missing K-pop events in the UK so I made a little tracker

Hey! Fellow UK fan here — I was so annoyed constantly missing cupsleeve events and random dance plays because I’d only hear about them after they’d happened 😩 I got tired of digging through endless Insta pages just to figure out what was going on, so I made a little site that lists upcoming K-pop events (cupsleeves, concerts, pop-ups, RDPs — all that good stuff). It’s a fan project, nothing fancy, but honestly it’s helped me stop missing stuff. Happy to drop the link if anyone’s interested 💜 submitted by /u/chimstrash84 [link] [comments]

Her donation also covered the medical expenses for 27 patients in need.
