I'm in the mood to watch some good performances, so please share your favorite, and I'll share some of my thoughts on it! If other people want to give their thoughts on the performances mentioned, feel free to. I'll try to get to everyone's comments, but if there are a lot, it might take me a while. submitted by /u/Kmadd25 [link] [comments]
‼️⚠️ WARNING ⚠️‼️ This DOES NOT mean all K-pop fans! I’m 100% sure the majority of you guys are cool ppl and almost every K-pop fan I’ve personally met are great people! Anyways here we go: About a year ago, I began listening to K-pop. And for that year I’ve been listening with no problem. However, recently I decided to look into the more dark side of K-pop.of course, I’ve always known about this but I never really got into it. I’m sure most of you are very aware of this. Now I’m not talking about the problem with beauty standards in the industry. Of course, that’s a whole other problem and whole other can of worms. Here though, I would like to talk about the para-social and disgusting actions behind certain fans. I have 2 examples from my research that for the most part exemplifies my point: Aespa’s Karina During the time she was in her relationship, fans were absolutely outraged. The parasocial thoughts people had behind this was genuinely just sad. For those who don’t know. After, Karina started dating Lee Jae Wook. Rumors started to spread about their relationship. After an official statement was made sales dropped by around 4%. And signs outside SM appeared. They said many things but for the most part they felt betrayed bc their relationship with them felt ruined. A big part of a K-pop stars is to look single and pretty to fans which is a huge part of the parasocial aspect a small amount of fans gain. The entire situation was just disgusting ending in the break-up between them just because of the actions of the fans. Kyla Kyla was originally from the US and moved to South Korea. She had a dream from a quite young age to be a star. At 15 she joined Pristin and was among many big names. (Btw this next part does go into the beauty standards thing but less of the companies) However at 15 she was above the weight of most of the members. Fans began to give her major hate and she eventually left the group and made a channel talking about her experiences. This behavior is genuinely disgusting. As a fandom with common sense I feel like we should realize this is a 15 YEAR OLD GIRL. What the actual hell. This type of stuff can ruin someone’s self esteem especially from that young of an age. It just a horrible thing that happened to an aspiring person. I’m aware there are so many cases of these I js chose these at random. Anyways, these actions were plainly pathetic and js sad to see from even that small of a portion of the fandom. Now I have 2 questions to ask after all my research. This question is for the normal fans: do you have any better examples? Also, what do you have to say about this behavior? Now, this is for the people who do this. I just got one question. What do you have to say about yourself and your actions? AGAIN THIS IS NOT ALL FANS IM SURE THE MAJORITY OF YOU ARE GREAT NORMAL HUMAN BEINGS! This entire part of the fandom is disgusting. So yeah I js had to talk about this bc it’s been on my mind. So yeah um please don’t get mad at me guys. I know someone who talked about these and got some not so savory private messages. 🫡😭🙏🕊️ submitted by /u/Strange-Equal-7127 [link] [comments]

I honestly think they ate that cover up and I'm glad they showcased their talent since they are so underrated. I hope people tune in and see how talented they are. IMPORTANT: for those who don't Izna has 7 members NOT 3!!! Jiyoon is on hiatus. The ongget 4 members were not chosen for the cover. submitted by /u/Fast-Championship694 [link] [comments]
Kai's, Dance with you MV came out,it shows huening's less explored side in music and he pulled it off effortlessly. The song talks about intense attraction you feel upon meeting some one you like, and can't wait to unite with them using dance as a metaphor. The MV was shot in mexico, which set the perfect mood and backdrop for the song, the use of Red in the background and playing of light and shadow gave the intentional sexy effect to the song.we had a small glimpse to song's choreo,i can't wait to see the whole dance performance, which he'll perform in the concert. I still remember seeing kai cringing when asked to sing a sexy song like mommae on lee mujin service, saying such songs don't really suit his image. But look at him now,he did so well. Even though, kai will always be a baby in my eyes since i saw him since his debut days,i also feel like a proud mumma seing him all grown up now. submitted by /u/Fearless_Support_505 [link] [comments]

I joined Kpop reddit thinking it would be less toxic than other social media sites. The atmosphere seems to be getting worse & worse. Please don't compare artists or generalize a whole fandom (it only causes fighting & toxicity). If hundreds or thousands of people are toxic (out of millions of people), it does not mean that it's OK to label the entire fandom as toxic. It seems like people are bringing things from twitter or IG & using reddit to attack other users & communities. With the growth of snark pages it seems that toxic individuals are showing themselves. Eventually the hate is going to consume your life, and you most likely will turn into a person you don't like. Also, careful what your write on these snark pages. Certain MODs seem to be unhinged & are not following reddit rules. Also, you forget that there are company reporting sites outside of reddit. So if you slander/defame/spead rumours or false misinformation, among many other things, you may just find yourself receiving a letter you don't want. I suggest you have real facts & proof before writing anything. submitted by /u/AlessandraAthena [link] [comments]
My personal favourite are YG's, their responses give "ion gaf and neither should you" Jennie & Kai – "SM Entertainment will release a statement." Taeyang & Min Hyo Rin - We can’t get in touch with Taeyang at the moment, If his relationship is true, congratulations.” CL & Song Mino – "Nonsense." 4.Rosé & Kang Dong Won – "It is difficult to confirm because it is the private matter of the artists." Later updated to: "The dating rumor between Rosé and Kang Dong Won is not true." Nam Joo Hyuk & Lee Sung Kyung – Confirmed by YG buy yhen Yang Hyun Suk said: “I think the dating experience will help him when he sings or stands on stage.” Lee Chan Hyuk & Saerom (from fromis_9) – "The dating rumor is groundless." G-Dragon & Kiko Mizuhara – "We cannot confirm anything regarding their personal lives." submitted by /u/AvocadoFun3905 [link] [comments]

Rules: Duplicates are allowed, but only a comment with the most upvotes will be counted. For example if there are multiple comments for A but only have 1 upvote each, while there is a comment for B with more upvotes than any of the A comments, then B will win the vote. Comment with more than one idol is automatically disqualified There will be honorable mentions for the runner up and third place on each post submitted by /u/EmanuelTheodorus [link] [comments]
So I started looking more into ALLDAY PROJECT recently, I listened to their debut album, and they only had two songs on it. Both of the songs were catchy, but I thought they were also kind of saturated. Does anyone else feel this way, or are there some more details I should know? I'm genuinely curious because I've been a K-Pop fan for 9 years now, and I haven't seen a co-ed group debut in a long time, so I don't know whether to be excited or weary. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts! submitted by /u/Turbulent-Baby8273 [link] [comments]

Hi! I just want to dump my feelings somewhere because I feel like a lot of kpop stans have experienced this at one point and I need advice on how to overcome it. Please don't be judgmental. First and foremost, I'm eternally grateful that I've been able to see my ult group (ZB1) and have had a few interactions with them because I know not everyone has the means to see their ult group. However, I've been trying to get into a video call with my bias for about a year and a half now and I've failed every single attempt despite saving up money and it's so discouraging to see the same people winning. I'm not asking for much, I simply want to tell my bias encouraging words and tell him how much he has helped me during a very difficult period in my life. I would be content with winning just once and I wouldn't ask for more but when I see someone who has already done 5+ video calls win again I feel so defeated. It also feels like they've one upped me and I'll never be able to "catch up" to them as a fan. I never act upon my jealousy and I try to look at the bright side of things by telling myself that my bias is receiving more love but at the end of the day I'm human and I'm bound to feel envious and "inadequate" as a fan. I know comparison is the thief of joy but I can't completely avoid seeing these things. I think I feel even more deeply about this because ZB1 is a temporary group. Feel free to drop any of your thoughts! P.S. I'm not gonna give up on my dream of talking to my bias so I would appreciate some encouragement. I'm not someone who gives up easily. submitted by /u/IndependentWedding66 [link] [comments]
