I much prefer the look of these silicon types. Although, to be fair, YG/TBL tends to do better than most when it comes to lightsticks. This is MEOVV’s official lightstick and the tail is detachable 🫢 Super cute. submitted by /u/ninimura [link] [comments]
Having idols consistently join popular shows like ‘We got Married,’ ‘Law of the Jungle’ and ‘Real men’ are what gave them better exposure outside of their group and I’m really sad that we’ll never get that back. Nowadays it’s like making sure every member or most of the members attend these variety shows together instead of helping each member get their own moment to shine individually away from their group and show their personality. Law of the jungle and real men were the perfect shows to give idols the opportunity to be their own person outside of their group & i miss it so much. Like people didnt really know who Henry was until he joined “real men” and he immediately became everyone’s FAVORITE. Variety shows used to give “underrated” members and idols the chance to receive the love and support they actually deserve 😭 It gave them the recognition they needed. submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]
It's in the title, but let me explain. There are quite a bunch of instances in world history where something was made out of pure spite but it ended up being viral, iconic, or even a classic in today's world. An example of this is when chips are made. Someone kept complaining that their fries are so soggy so out of spite the inventor sliced really thin potatoes and now we got chips out of it BGABKJRG In the music world, there are many songs that were done out of pure spite but became hits such as John Lennon's "How Do You Sleep". Do you think there was anything similar in the K-Pop World that became a huge hit/classic although the maker did so out of pure spite? Was there ever an Idol who did something else out of Pure Spite that ended up becoming a well-known fact in the K-Pop World? I'm curious, so give me all the details you know! submitted by /u/blucheezecake [link] [comments]
It feels like a lot of groups these days just drop an album, promote for one week, do a couple TikToks, and then dip 🫤 Not much content at all. No creativity in terms of marketing. No themed exhibitions pertaining to said group's concepts. They could do cool comeback activities involving fans? Maybe like a fun scavenger hunt? Mini fanmeetings? Fun limited time events with local businesses?? submitted by /u/No-Vehicle1562 [link] [comments]
Stealing this game from the gays 💖 Rules: post your biases (incl. group name) in the comments section and let others reply with their assumptions about you based on your biases. You can also add your orientation for context (if you're queer and your biases are of the same gender as u). Credits: Game originally made by the kpop gay community. Let's have fun! submitted by /u/PinkLink81 [link] [comments]

I’m mainly referring to during concerts / tours. Have you ever attended a concert and thought “damn they did NOT need this many backup dancers on stage” it’s sometimes just overstimulating and distracting because the backup dancers have such intense amount of energy and choreography whereas the idols have a much mellow - low energy choreography. Groups with like 5-6 members do NOT need 10+ backup dancers on stage for concerts 😭 I think Jhope - killing it girl is the only exception where having backup dancers have their moment to shine on stage actually fits so well. I havent seen the performance in person but even just on camera, it looks great! (im not even an army) submitted by /u/Which_Mammoth9402 [link] [comments]
I'll preface this by saying I don't know any kpop idols personally, and these are just my opinions, not the idols involved. But whilst watching ATEEZ+ yesterday, they spoke about how Yunho faced pressure to be the positive moodmaker, lifting both the members and fans up but has taken more time to be on his own and recover so he can be more positive on stage and with fans. And I am so relieved that he got to do that, because I think it is SO DRAINING to be the one giving all the energy, love, care and positivity as well as making fans happy and laugh so often. There's other moodmakers too like Wooyoung and San and it feels like they do so much to make people smile and stuff.... Not saying it's bad! I cannot say their feelings on it as I'm not them, but I know I'd burnout in such a role. Hey also Hongjoong goes so FAR for atiny it has me like "i hope ur ok dude" idk ATEEZ has me worried as they will go to such massive lengths to make atiny happy. I feel the same worry like when watching Stray Kids and Felix had a pretty huge role as the Sunshine, giving endless joy and tbh it seems so pressurising to have to give so much so often, being everyone's angel and sunshine. I'd definitely become a fallen angel and turn to hell if I was him (luckily he is not me lol). LOL he's much stronger than me to handle such a demanding role. 😭 Don't get me wrong I bet some idols love doing this stuff, or have better balance at sharing energy and light with resting than me. Some may loove it and do it like breathing. I just feel like as a person who was a people pleaser who acted like a clown and entertainer to keep people happy, I just assume that based off my own experience- it's a REALLY HARD job. Like even I when I had energetic friends I assumed they'd be happy 24/7 or was confused when they seemed quiet but from chatting to them- I realised they may want time to stop giving so much light all the time, and to just... pause. That's why I get a bit worried whenever there is a "happy virus", "sunshine" or a member expected to be the entertaining, loving and/or weird one all the time, who makes everyone laugh and smile- that aint easy to do and is a huge expectation that can have tough results if its taken too far. I hope they are being cared for and allowed to rest too. That sunshine is being given to them as well. Because those in giving roles do deserve to be uplifted as well and have people do moodmaking for them too. submitted by /u/AngleFormal [link] [comments]
What are the criteria for which idols are picked as MC? For example for an entire season of a music show? I can think of Sung Hanbin who has done MC gigs many times, even for kcon LA (despite the fact that he is not as fluent in English as Matthew or Jeon Somi), and he has been great! But what are the characteristics that makes him a good MC? And a good MC in general? submitted by /u/Ordinary_Cat_01 [link] [comments]
