I'm starting to worry about how OBSESSED I am with This Is For's visuals and styling
We're 10-9 days away from the release and still have two concept trailers left in the pipeline. God help me..... Also, the fact that they were serving god-tier visuals in yesterday's trailer and are just doing the most random things known to man in the middle of the road in this one is HILARIOUS to me 😂 submitted by /u/beelzebub2099 [link] [comments]

  • reddit.com language

Does anyone know what melody ro structure this song samples? Literally on the first part before the chorus it just hit my brain that this melody/sound-lyric structure is very similar to another song/melody and now I cant figured out exactly. What this reminds my brain off. But the melody, song structure is very reminiscent of something. I just cant place it. Any body feel the same or know what? submitted by /u/MasterHospital [link] [comments]

2.664. To western fans Why you all listening to kpop if they not original?

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Western fans always said that kpop is just a copy paste of western music most spesificly black American music and culture so why you all still listening to it and spend your money on it? Why not support your local Artists who's created this genre that kpop industry copied from. even demanding kpop labels to debut a black idols in their groups i mean why would you want your people to be in the copy cat industry like kpop when they can thrive in the home country industry where the genre is originated from. Not to mention most of these idols don't make a lot of money compare to western artists submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]

2.665. K-pop Idol Diets & Nutrition Misinformation

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi Redditors, TRIGGER WARNING: This post mentions eating disorders and disordered eating I'm a student dietitian and a casual K-pop lurker. I was a heavy listener when I was 12 and was instantly hooked into K-pop (2nd gen/peak of Hallyu wave) for the rest of my high school timeline and a little bit into my university life. However, the dark side of K-pop, that is disordered eating, consumed my life for at least 5 years where I developed an unhealthy relationship with food and envied the thinnest and fittest idols, hence also developed body image issues. I know there are a lot of people out there who share the same sentiment or experience as I did since some K-pop idols are notorious for saying the most unfiltered things about their diet and lifestyle bordering on dangerous to impressionable audiences. As for my educational background, I have a Bachelors in Nutrition and currently studying my Masters of Dietetics. I would be lying if I said that my history of disordered eating didn't stem from toxic diet culture radiating from K-pop underneath all the facade of glitz and glamour. I now consume K-pop content in healthy manner where I've had my share of growing up to do plus a tertiary education to UNDERSTAND the science behind food and nutrition. When I stumble upon articles mentioning how an idol went viral for going on a crazy diet to achieve their 'hot' body, I don't idolise it anymore, but rather, I feel sad for the current climate of the K-pop industry where perfectionism must be ON POINT to the detriment of the idols' mental and physical health. With that being said, I would like to do an Instagram post to my student dietitian account about the ugly truth of K-pop idol diets backed with evidence-based information. I've dabbled on this idea for many years but have never executed anything (hello imposter syndrome...). Doing this post is a step forward for me to gather what sort of nutrition information people are willing to find out more about. I've had some IG carousel post ideas which are up my alley, generated from ChatGPT include: “Why Idol Diets Can Lead to Rebound Weight Gain” - Talk about metabolic adaptation, muscle loss, restriction-binge cycles, and long-term impact on hormones (leptin, ghrelin) “Let’s Talk About Menstrual Health and Starvation” - K-pop idols have shared about losing their periods due to dieting - explain energy availability and RED-S (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport) “Micronutrient Deficiencies Hiding in Idol Diets” - Show that even with calories, diets can lack iron, calcium, B12, etc. - Relate to fatigue, immunity, poor concentration What are some BURNING questions you have about Korea's insane diet culture and questionable nutrition information in the realm of K-pop! I'm interested in gathering a diverse range of topics so I can keep busy during my uni break which I would really appreciate! submitted by /u/Taro_BubbleTea [link] [comments]

2.669. 2nd gen or 3rd gen groups that would probably be successful if they were a 5th gen group

  • 3 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This thought randomly popped out while I was listening to T-ara's Number 9. Ngl, I kinda wished T-ara debuted during 4th or 5th gen since their quirky and experimental sound could have been a hit with the younger Gen Zs. Other groups that could have been more popular as a 5th gen (based on my opinion) are After School and Brown Eyed Girls. Which 2nd or 3rd gen groups would have been more successful in the later generations? submitted by /u/ch0eunz [link] [comments]
