I got into Kpop in 2nd Gen. Since then, I have been obsessed with boy groups because of how insanely talented AND attractive they are. On top of the good music they put out, I am very fond of watching their dance practice videos and live performances. I got addicted to watching these handsome men dance and perform. The groups I stan back then during my late teens were 2PM, Beast, and Infinite. All the members in these groups were all adults so I guess it wasn't that weird. But now, I still keep myself up to date with the latest Kpop groups and news, and there are a couple of boy groups that I started following in each new generation: EXO, Wanna One, and Monsta X (3rd gen) Enhypen, Ateez, Treasure, and The Boyz (4th gen), and now in 5th gen NCT Wish and TWS, which both have really young members. My friend one day saw me watching a dance practice video of TWS and she said it's weird that I am still watching boys half my age dance and act cute. I just really enjoy watching these videos and they make me smile and warm my heart lol. Especially these 5th gen boy groups who remind me of my youth and bring back some memories of my crushes back in school. It somehow brings some nostalgia. Is it really weird? Is there something wrong with me? Do I need to seek therapy? /gen And if it's not weird, then would it be okay for me, a middle-aged man, to still go to concerts of these 5th gen boy groups amongst young female fans? I know on old forums people used to talk it in one thread and communicate through long historical threads but with the rate of posts that get reposted everyday and throwaway questions do you think people communicate the same way? Do you guys recognize peoples usernames and talk to people through reddit? I think in the time I've been here I recognize the two main people chronodroid and cherry who post on the main subreddit and some of the frequent posters on the triples and bts subreddit but I've never really talked to anyone on here. A trailer for the new Apple TV show Kpopped has been making rounds on Instagram. In a lot of groups,big 4 included,many members don't get to finish high school or even middle school. We have examples going years back unfortunately. Now you may look at these members and think that they're set for life so they don't need education but I think that's it's necessary for two reasons: 1-Basic critical thinking/education skills such as being able to write an essay and solve basic math equations. We live in a world where critical thinking is all the more necessary each day it passes. At the end of the day these people have to decide for themselves like anybody else and basic education plays a big part 2-You don't know what might go wrong with a career. You may think someone is set to be successful but at the end of the day life is unpredictable and unexpected things that may strongly impact or ruin a career can happen. Look at recent examples. Soobin sunday driver music video got released. it is such a cute song,which instantly puts you in a good mood,with a smile on your face. Soobin's vocals are quite underrated, he has such a pretty falsetto and sweet,smooth vocals that almost feels like a lullaby,He can also belt out highnotes really well as he proved in the title track beautiful strangers. lyrics are also soo lovely and romantic for the song sunday driver.my favourite lyrics are- "Drawn by the dazzling sunset. We arrive somewhere off the planned route Now I know, even this wrong turn Feels like a scene from a movie" MV visuals are really cute.The plant as a passenger,soobin being a plant dad,with changing of seasons with music cds.The 2D animation in between and the ending adorable plot twist is a treat to the eyes.
