As a marketing intern, I tend to watch every group promotion closely. I have seen companies fumble promotions very badly. This time it's BigHit. Like, am I the only one who thinks BigHit don't know what to do with Cortis, or are they intentionally holding Cortis back? Their song Go for example, they release it first only on YouTube, then release What You Want on all streaming platforms. Go goes viral, people kept searching for it on Spotify until the song ended up on Global Viral Song before the song was even released because of the number of people searching for it. BigHit could have released it then, but they did not. Then they released their EP, including GO and all streaming platforms, finally, but then decided they're going to promote What You Want and Fashion instead of GO, lol. Go was charting on Melon and Gaon higher than Fashion and What You Want, which meant they had some decent digital points that would have secured them some Music Show wins, but they instead kept promoting the other two songs. And when they finally decided to promote GO, the chances of winning Music Shows is gone coz now, they don't have Broadcast points coz they were not promoting Go, and they don't have Physical Sales points coz their 1st week album sales is gone. Without Physical sales points and Broadcast points, their only option is to get a very high Digital point, which is not possible now. So, Cortis ends their promotion with no wins, and I can't help but think, what the hell is BigHit doing? They look like some nugu company who don't know what to do, or they are intentionally doing it to create some narrative. submitted by /u/Accomplished_Low2452 [link] [comments]
The most common variation of this sentiment, that i tend to see, is "bring back idols who can actually sing". I'm sure there are others though - like dancing, stage presence, certain type of look/vibe etc. Thing is, i don't really understand where this sentiment that the bar is lower comes from because for me, as someone whos been around since 2nd gen, the only thing that's obviously changed is the preferred sound and trending genres. Other than that i can still surely see killer vocalists/dancers/rappers/visuals all around - and if anything i feel the bar is just going higher, like you are expected to be more and more all rounded, more and more perfect in your skill. The average skill level across each gen feels totally the same to me... Also certain patterns have always been around since the start, one example being skill not necessarily translating to popularity. So tell me - what's changed for you? Maybe you do agree that some standards have dropped. Maybe it's more of the inclination towards certain elements have changed. Maybe idols are more accessible now! Etc etc. submitted by /u/Allthingsmatcha0923 [link] [comments]

I've been analyzing aespa's Rich Man album and noticed some interesting philosophical patterns between the tracks: - Rich Man as inner confidence foundation - Drift representing authenticity and risk-taking - Bubble about seeing through illusions - The progression from individual to collective empowerment What are your thoughts on these themes? Have you noticed any other connections I might have missed? I'd love to hear different interpretations from the community. For those interested, I put together a more detailed analysis exploring these themes: https://aespa-rich-man.vercel.app/ Would appreciate any feedback from fellow MYs! #aespa#richman submitted by /u/Schilc [link] [comments]

If someone wasn't mentioned YET, it's because I'm uploading the gif. If 15 mins passed by since I did the post, and you still don't see the person you wanna vote for, please comment their name and group with a Gif or pic, but, PLEASE, MAKE SURE IT'S NOT REPEATED. (check they are PISCES) Some people might not appear since they were a cusp between 2 signs, so I'll make a new category for cusp idols later. I doubled check every possible cusp idol by using the earliest and latest birth times, using their year and location to make sure everyone falls into the right category (sign).
