basically title. at a recent fancall, a haobin shipper asked both “when was haobin’s first time?" with the choices * Before April 2023 * April - July 2023 * July - December 2023 * After 2024 zhang hao sees the question and goes “first time doing what?” —> the fan laughs and says “what do you think~” —> then zhang hao laughs awkward, pauses and says “i’m just gonna choose a random one” and checks the paper this isn’t the first weird q, people have asked about “last time they kissed” before and asked other member what they would do if they “walked in” on haobin ? and the members never ignore anyone, they always give response, even if it’s random or vague or jokey so i think people take advantage and push for more. like they are waiting for the members to explicit shut them down (i don’t see they would ever) before they admit it’s too much but. imagine you are working and someone paid money just to come and ask you a sex joke and post about it. that’s harassment… i know some fancalls are probably healing or fun to idols but i can’t believe fans can ask whatever they want and feel comfortable putting idols in situations like this for their own enjoyment. to satisfy a fantasy or invasive curiosity or. like they’re characters or somethig submitted by /u/Nice-Range4880 [link] [comments]

Firstly, who knew this was a BREAST CANCER awareness event???? Just researched and found out through the past 20 years... They couldn't even raise a million USD??? Are you joking??? They invite celebs sponsored by LUXURY BRANDS ffs Not only that, but this year you had jay park's dumb ass singing his terrible song that was COMPLETELY inappropriate for the event (literally. Go search the lyrics and you'll get what I mean). The questions reporters ask? Fashion. Not about the BASIS OF THE FREAKING EVENT!!! At least make it pink themed!!! The articles, everything... It skips over the premise and heartbreaking reason this event even "exists". People are dying, and you're telling me the best way to raise awareness is to make a charity event... Without the focus being on the charity...? Just make it a fashion event in the first place. Why are we needing to hide behind a philanthropic shield for no reason 😭😭😭 This is a disgusting event and i'm so, so glad it's finally getting called out for it. It's just an excuse for W Korea to have a high profile elite event (or basically a club lmao) Thoughts? submitted by /u/Gold_Meaning3688 [link] [comments]
I am a K-pop stan, which unfortunately is losing its fandom culture due to an influx of new fans joining, and not understanding fandom etiquette as well as demonising anyone that puts any sort of effort or passion into knowing more about their interests. One thing that has been a big problem for me is how people always like to refer to a celebrity crush as a “parasocial relationship” which is factually wrong. Yes, having a celebrity crush CAN lead to a parasocial relationship, but the act of being in love with a celebrity isn’t inherently bad. What I believe a celebrity crush is; Just like a regular crush, someone who has an emotional attachment but to a celebrity, possibly due to their idol status (wanting to have/be something that they obtain — e.g: be a talented singer or wants similar attributes in their future relationships, such as personality traits, passion for their crafts, how they love their family, etc) or just simply based on the fact that they have a certain look they are attracted to, such as someone who is into men with long blonde hair and blue eyes might be inclined to have a crush on Brad Pitt because he fits the description. A parasocial relationship is when someone believes that they are “dating” a said celebrity, and would go out of their way to try to be close to them, despite the celebrity in question having nothing to do with them, nor knowing them personally. This is typically a psychological thing and if it gets to that point, then therapists and psychologists can interfere and help them before it goes out of hand. While both of them do include a one-sided relationship with a celebrity that doesn’t know them, they are NOT the same. A lot of people probably assumed someone with a celebrity crush is in a parasocial relationship because in the K-pop fandom, a lot of fans like to pretend that they are actually in a relationship with them when they are aware that they will never be able to reach to them, and a lot of fans play into it that it would be our biggest inside joke within K-pop spaces online and in-person events. That is why whenever people call them their “boyfriend/girlfriend” and wanting to “marry them”, most of the time they’re not being serious and just having fun for the sake of it. While I can understand this confusion can cause people to assume, a lot of the reasons why people like to call anyone who just have celebrity crushes “parasocial” could either be due to the fact that others believe “cringe culture” shouldn’t exist (as this is typically seen as a childish or outdated tween/teen-based thing to do) as well as the other main point being misogyny in women/female-based interests. Whenever you hear about football fans going to matches, collecting match attax trading cards, wearing a football shirt, cheering at matches, and throwing temper tantrums when their team loses, nobody bats an eye. But god forbid K-pop fans attend concerts, wear cute clothes, have picket fans with their bias’ names and faces on it and cheering for their favourite group is considered “parasocial” is absurd. In my opinion, celebrity crushes should be normalised and not be confused with a parasocial relationship.Especially considering the fact that having celebrity crushes really helped me through school where I was able to experience emotions for the first time without having to worry about getting in trouble or get made fun of, as that was what happened when I had crushes on people at school, which closed me off from so many milestones I missed as a teenager and now I’m living it as someone in my 20s. I don’t believe I will ever date, nor meet them in person, but my emotions are real, and I’m happy that I’m able to feel them. Yes, some celebrities may not be what you think they are in real life, but that’s not an excuse to harass anyone and make fun of them just for simply having a crush. If they are truly a bad person, then they’ll break away from them. A parasocial person won’t. Full stop. submitted by /u/AsianMoot3317 [link] [comments]

It would be so amazing to have groups react to other groups' comebacks, at least within a company. Imagine Twice and Itzy reacting to Nmixx's Blue Valentine. submitted by /u/williamtkelley [link] [comments]
https://spotify.link/k81eSiXLuXb Hi lovely kpop community~ After a month of listening, evaluating and reevaluating — I’m finally at a place where i’m ready to share my playlist! I listened to literally every single suggestion from an earlier help thread i posted, plus a TON more from my own exploration, and the result is 22+ hrs of title tracks (almost 400 songs), sorted by artist. Thank you for your wonderful suggestions! I had a ton of fun doing this and discovered so many amazing songs. Have a scroll and see which songs i added from your faves! I recommend listening on shuffle 😊 Here was my criteria: Male groups (no mixed gender or GGs; female fts are OK) Idol pop group (not a band or hiphop group) No soloists or units (with the exception of NCT) Korean (with the exception of WayV) Song was promoted as a single or lead single (referenced on the group’s wikipedia page) Not restricted by genre - you’ll find a wide range from bubblegum to ballad to EDM. What makes a song “the best”, you ask? To put it simply, if it left a strong impression on me after listening. I didn’t choose all of the most “iconic” songs (tho there are plenty of those as well), nor are the amount of songs necessarily indicative of how i feel about the group. My goal was that any person could pick out any single song from the playlist and easily understand why it was added, even if it doesn’t match their personal taste. I picked songs that impressed me for some combination of uniqueness, memorability, outstanding melodies, production, vocals, rapping, etc. I also listened to every song on the playlist multiple times to make sure i’d stand by it. DISCLAIMER: I did not listen to every single title track out there. But I listened to at least a few from as many artists as I could (way more for popular artists), and if i liked what i heard, i explored further. I will continue to update the playlist as i listen to even more songs. Also, please do not argue with me about why certain songs are/aren’t on there. Remember that every song has been filtered through my personal preference. I encourage you to download the playlist and add/remove songs as you please. Must-listen to artists! For older fans wanting to try out some newer stuff, try: Ciipher, Nowz, All(h)ours, Xikers, Omega X, EPEX. I’m not much into the newer groups, but these are the ones that piqued my interest! For newer fans wanting to familiarize yourself with some high quality classics aside from the obvious ones, i highly recommend: TVXQ, C-Clown, History, Beast, B1A4, Teen Top. I worked so hard on this, so i would love if you would AMA and I will reply to everyone😄 hot takes, my faves, my process, songs that almost made it, recommendations, etc! submitted by /u/Lilac-Soul [link] [comments]

I just want to give some appreciation and call attention to NMIXX's Sullyoon, because her vocals have genuinely improved so much And when people say an idol's vocals improved, sometimes there's this assumed implication that they started off bad, but that's definitely NOT the case here. She was already good at debut, but she has simply gotten remarkably better! She sang a duet with Jiwoo on the new Leemujin Service episode and her voice is sounding better than ever. She's developed so much fullness in her tone, and noticeably more ease in the higher notes, like you can see here . That's a C5 at the end there, not an easy note, that's about where a lot of undeveloped singers will start to break apart and sound strained, thin, and unpleasant. But no such issues for today's Sullyoon. She also started to struggle around there in early debut days, but not anymore. I also want to bring attention to this part of the group cover of HER by Block B (such a great fun cover please watch the whole thing). Her tone sounds so rich and full on that line! Debut Sullyoon wasn't sounding like that. She's really like genuinely main vocal level singer now. I can feel the eyes rolling, those of you who aren't familiar with her, because EVERYONE says that about their faves no matter how good they are but. I SWEAR its true this time! You guys have to believe me, she's really that good! submitted by /u/Vast_Implement_8537 [link] [comments]
So recently i see many videos talking about miniskirt by aoa and how it was very "cvnty", and people say why we don't have many songs like this anymore. The comments were full of "because now they're debuting minors" or "bring mature concepts back" NO. First of all member were between 17-24 when miniskirt was released, they were ALSO minors. Kpop companies have been debuting minors, you people just know nothing about 2nd gen and want to use it as a gateway to hate on 4th/5th gen idols, y'all are miserable And a lot of those idols who released "cvnty" music were members who were young girls forced into doing mature concept, some even had to seek therapy after mvs. Here's the truth, most of them didn't want this concept. They were just victims of horny men writing "cvnty" songs for them to perform. One another thing that pisses me off is 2nd gen warriors who bring the idea of 2nd gen being better than other generations up. Babe, no it's not. Literally the most problematic, scandalous, groups full of criminals is not a flex. Yes, nowadays idols might be less talented but i would rather stan "untalented" idols who haven't been involved in crazy scandals rather than idols who can sing averagely but are problematic as hell submitted by /u/Artistic-Network-247 [link] [comments]
So there was a recent thread where some people doubted that BamBam could get that many views that quickly on his latest MV. Now I can't confirm or deny that ads were used because I have no knowledge of that. But anyways, I saw and read through that thread earlier, but didn't watch the MV yet. Today I put it on but didn't pay attention until the end of the MV and when I went - "wait, that's Nychaa!!!" holy crap! Then I remembered people saying something about kissing the actress and then holy shit! Like damn, I was too focused on my work to pay any attention to news these past days, but I'm sure this was all over the local news. Nychaa is one of the most popular actresses here in Thailand and she got cheated on very recently by her previous boyfriend who was another Thai singer. That news was shocking to the whole country. So Nychaa is still kind of still on everyone's mind as the poor girl who got cheated on (and who, by the way, is praised so much for her beauty here.) So having an actual kiss scene in this MV with BamBam and Nychaa is something the whole country would think "OMG I got to see this". There's no wonder it got so many views. And since that time the video now has 53M views. It also has 15K comments MOST of them Thai. I read a lot of them and I can assure you, they are real people commenting. Anyways, this might be a surprise to people outside of Thailand that Thai mvs can get this many views. But actually it is normal and a lot of Thai MVs have 100M+ views. And that is just from Thais listening cause of course the world doesn't know about Thai music as much as K-Pop. To prove my point, here is a list of Thai MVs with 100M+ views. These are all super popular songs that have so many views cause we listen to them a lot. Some of my favs off the top of my head: getsunova - ไกลแค่ไหน คือ ใกล้ - 400M views (official audio) Earth - Sky & Sea - 110M views Palmy - ซ่อนกลิ่น - 208M views violette wautier - อยากรู้หัวใจตัวเอง - 161M views Until we will become dust - 333M views (a performance rather than an MV) Quickly found on YouTube: wonderframe - อยูดีๆก็... - 154M views getsunova - คนไม่จำเป็น - 262M views getsunova - อยู่ตรงนี้ นานกว่านี้ - 173M views wonderframe & pop pongkool - undo - 268M views Most of those examples are old songs cause I don't follow the latest Thai music. But Jeff Satur is a good example of a more recent successful artist: Jeff Satur - ลืมไปแล้วว่าลืมยังไง - 236M views - 3yrs old Jeff Satur - ซ่อน (ไม่) หา l Ghost - 148M views (1yr old) There's just tons more. So anyways, it isn't that strange that BamBam who also has an international following on top of his Thai fans can get such views. submitted by /u/glassy99 [link] [comments]
