ITZY's vast difference in solo promotion

It's clear Yeji and Yuna are being heavily promoted in fashion. Yeji: Roger vivier ambassadorship, multiple cfs and ads, editorials, fashion week, various fashion events, love your w event 3 years straight Yuna: ugg capaign, milan fashion week (her 3rd solo fashion week), dynafit muse, viewmap muse, naming cosmetics muse, several editorials, love your w for 3 years straight as well And then Yuna and Chaeryeong pushed towards gp popularity. Yuna: youtube channel, solo stages every year, about to act in a drama with A-list actors Chaeryeong: cfs, hosted three variety shows, guesting on variety shows ever few days/weeks Lia has done some OSTS (blue flower is to die for and i stand by that 😭) but aside from those, her and Ryujin don't actually do much outside of the group, with an exception of 2 or so variety guestings after a comeback and a fashion event or something a few times every year. Lia I think maybe twice in her whole career? But ITZY's individual popularity is so balanced, the differences in promotion somehow makes no difference. There's no drastic popularity gap between any member (I think Lia is less popular internationally, but makes a decent amount of noise in korea) which makes no sense. Theoretically, their popularity should be very divided. I don't see midzys ever talk about how some members are barely seen in comparison to others (except those accursed akgae accounts on stan twitter), whereas when this happens in other groups, fans are crying, screaming, throwing up. So this seemed very interesting to me. Are midzys mostly ot5 then? Thoughts? submitted by /u/Gold_Meaning3688 [link] [comments]

62. Does anybody else feel disconnected to Kpop?

I’ve been a fan for 10 years, and I was really dedicated 5 of those years. However now I just enjoy things superficially. I can’t get into any new groups, I get bored so quickly and I don’t find anybody’s music and personality (both of them) interesting enough. It’s always one or the other not both. I’ve been to concerts and festivals and although I enjoy the moment, I don’t feel nowhere near as strong as I first felt when I had just discovered Kpop. The only groups I feel connected to are ATEEZ and Katseye (not even a kpop group). But even then I’m only thinking about these two when it’s comeback season or I see them on my fyp. Even with survival shows, which I’ve always loved I’ve felt much more disconnected. I watched Boys 2 Planet recently and I felt way less than usual. I don’t relate to other fans much, because when I go to concerts I notice everybody takes it so much more seriously than I do. I loved Kpop and it was so fun and I was so dedicated but I just don’t feel the same way anymore. How do I get those feelings from 5 years ago again? submitted by /u/iwannalickyoureye [link] [comments]

So this seemed very interesting to me. Most fans complain about the general lack of promotion when it comes to their actual music. Are midzys mostly ot5 then? Not a fan but Everytime they appear on my TL is them being overworked by belift. Just now I saw Niki wanting to go home and saying he hasn't been home for 5 years. Its kinda crazy that they don't even get 1 week off once a year to atleast spend time with their family. submitted by /u/Gloomy-Eye9380 [link] [comments]

76. What are some of your favourite bridges in Kpop?

  • 16 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

First of all, there were so many songs to choose from, but Don’t Wanna Cry by Seventeen is my choice. Everything from the lyrics to even the choreography is just perfection. For people that don’t know, a bridge in music is a section that adds variety and keeps the listener engaged by introducing a new melody or perspective, making the return to the chorus more impactful. I personally love bridges because they make they help the songs feel less repetitive. submitted by /u/213Nicholas_Louie [link] [comments]

79. Is a group leaving Weverse a sign of disband?

  • 16 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi guys! One of my favorite kpop groups, NOWZ from Cube Entertainment, left Weverse today. They had their debut last year, and the other groups from Cube are still there. This got me worried of a possible disband, because it was kinda unexpected tbh. But on the notice the company said they would have another community somewhere else. Since I’ve never seen a group leave the app like this, based on your kpop experience, should I be worried? submitted by /u/laurabedumb [link] [comments]
