In your opinion, what group does “x” the best?

I feel like a lot of people have this thinking that Pristin is such a big and successful group that got fucked over by Pledis by dungeon-ing them and then suddenly disbanding them out of nowhere. However their numbers don't support this at all, Pristin's debut album sold 43K but their second dropped to 27K, The digitals performance of their lead singles also dropped correspondingly. Then they tried a subunit thing called Pristin V that consist of their most popular members but that sold even worse only 18K physicals and basically nonexistent digital performance for "Get It". For reference, Weki Meki's first two albums sold 49K and 34K respectively and Gugudan's first two albums sold 22K and 29K. In other words, both group's 2nd albums sold better than Pristin did, and look where they're both at now stuck in nuguland. Yes, Pristin did slightly better than both of them on the digitals side, but nothing to impresive about it, Sure obv this industry is completely unpredictable, but then if one is depending on that to make the argument that Pristin is such a big and successful group that got fucked over by their label one has no argument at all. Idk who needs to hear this, but some of you are a lil too comfortable with blaming Koreans for every problem that the kpop community has. The Wonyoung hate train is THE perfect example of this. Now, I'm not denying that there's pointless shit that k-fans scrutinize. But hear me out on the Wonyoung case. Wonyoung typically gets hate on English platforms for some of the dumbest shit ever; and I'm not even a Wonyoung stan (my bias is Yujin). But I respect the grind. She clearly loves being an idol, and meticulously plans out every mannerism, expression, and pose. For some reason, there are mouth-breathing mfers who have a problem with that and call it cringe. I'm so tired of this nonchalant bs that ppl these days are obsessed with. Like let people BE CHALANT and let them express themselves smh. But I digress. Wonyoung typically gets hate for: some 'weird' mannerism that comes off as too tryhard being 'pick me' --> tf does that even mean, aegyo=/= pick me Her weight (although this does come off as coming from a place of concern, rather than malice) favouritism (although this allegation has died down recently) -> admittedly, probably the ONLY valid complaint Except for the last two, all of these are such nothingburger complaints, man. I've seen COUNTLESS English comments giving her so much shit for for 'pick me' behaviour. In the contrary, Wonyoung is often praised in Korean comments because Korean society often rewards tryhards like Wonyoung. Like all these drama channels just seem to milk 'hate comments' from the Korean version of 4-chan. Like ik 4-chan is not an accurate representation of every anglophone out there, why is it hard for anglophone kpop fans to understand that? Now I'm not saying that English fans don't like tryhards (there's a reason why wonyoungism is a whole cult), but liking cute/princess-like Wonyoung appears to be a more niche aspect of western society. The most annoying thing about kpop is the way most of the groups sound - which is bad. Don't take my word for it, hundreds of people on youtube are making well referenced video documentaries about the affect kpop is having on the quality of music... but that's not why Kpop will fail. Kpop will fail because they don't label the freaking members! WTF is wrong with people making music videos? These aren't videos featuring one artist so you know who they are, it's obviously got like 4-40 artists... even if I like their music how the hell am I supposed to know who they are. IT"S SO ANNOYING AND IT"S THE REASON THE WEST WILL LOSE INTEREST IN KPOP. People in the west can put up with bad music, what we can't put up with is nameless faceless blob people who all look and sound the same without any reference or label to who they are as individuals... and here's why.... why would we care anymore when we have to work so hard to figure out who is even singing or who is even who in the band... because you can't tell by looking at the MVs at all. I just spent half an hour trying to find out who one girl doing one part is in an MV, the problem is they all look different in every photo shoot and every MV and they All Look Alike! It's so incredibly annoying! I just spent half an hour trying to find out who one girl in Aespa was because again They Don't Label the Members in the video! and they Don't look like they do in any other photo or video! I went to three different sites, googled it, and finally had to play the video take a print screen of the persons face and then paste it into paint and crop it and upload it to the reddit fansite to ask the fans who it was. WHY IS IT THIS HARD TO FIND OUT WHO IS IN A MUSIC VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I completely LOST interest in Aespa as a group in 15 minutes after I couldn't find out who that member was and I WILL NEVER LISTEN TO AESPA AGAIN OR EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM BECAUSE IT'S TOO HARD TO KNOW WHO THE MEMBERS ARE IN THE MV VIDOES. Was this the goal? To upset the fans by refusing to give them information? In the end THIS is the reason Kpop will fail in the west... because finding out who is singing in the music video shouldn't be work, shouldn't be a chore, and SHOULDN"T FEEL LIKE A DIFFICULT HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT! It's this kind of stupid garbage where they only choose people who look exactly the same and then refuse to even label them with their names so you can't tell who is who, that will cause kpop to fail. I was iffy about Cortis but after seeing James and Martin's predebut work with TXT, Illit, Enhypen, their documentary snippets and now Zion T. saying Cortis is "alternative kpop", it pushed me to give FaSHioN a chance and I really enjoyed it. The lyrics subverted expectations with the members flexing $5 tees, 10,000 won pants and bragging about their thrift shop finds in Dongmyo and Hongdae. I thought the part when a member was called out "Ahn Keonho, no matter what you say about my clothes, I hold my ground" was funny and the shout out to Fruits magazine was great! On another note, I would love to hear some R&B elements included in their next release. Especially after seeing a clip on Twitter of 14 year old trainee Martin singing his heart out to Bruno Mars Versace on the Floor I feel like there's a mine of untapped potential there in that direction. For the many of us who have a little fan account with zero reach I thought it could be nice to share our @ here so we can find fellow kpoppers to interact with on insta. I'm not talking about just growing numbers neither find friends to have personal talks with because that is another kind of commitment, but I am thinking about more organic interactions on social media. Personally my account as zero reach and it feels lonely at times and fanaccs I stumble upon have millions of followers and posts thousands of edits in a day which I find overwhelming and it doesn't feel human-like. I thought some of us might feel the same, so we could find other small pages to follow to make fangirling/fanboying more lively and human :) Sharing accounts under 100 followers only could be good so we can really find the small ones.
