Coca cola, mac donalds are US brands, they have their franchise in different countries. Why are ppl boycotting Korean idols for eating or doing brand promotions for these?i am not finding much hate around other celebs, is it cause they aren't posting brands ? I don't wanna spread hate and no I am not a fan or anything I am very confused by whole situation. I know coca cola is under BSD list (star bucks wasn't dk why ppl got hate for drinking it) but yeah pls clarify I wanna know. submitted by /u/Klutzy-Advisor2003 [link] [comments]

there's an issue i have with some fans and it is the frequent denial of idols having surgery. this is unhealthy, unnecessary and dangerous behaviour and it must stop. if you are guilty of saying "my fav doesn't/would never use plastic surgery" sit down and think. south korea is no unique, special country. they, like many other countries, have colourism, high beauty standards, racism and xenophobia and weight/body shape standards. ive long heard people call knetizens too mean or too rude or too judgmental. that's because they are the reason people get surgeries and hide their "flaws". im a 3rd gen fan so excuse my 2018 esque bias but twice members, bts members, stray kids members, red velvet members and so on and so forth are ALL under the pressure that every other idol is. newer generations are young and impressionable and they are so young, in fact, that someone telling them they need to fix their faces in order to fulfill their dreams is in no way impossible. if it's a requirement, they'll do it! idols from other generations have discussed plastic surgery, weight loss and weight gain rules, dieting etc and it seems to not have reached people. they're talking about it because it's a serious matter. that aside, it is extremely dangerous to claim an idol hasn't or would never get surgery because a) a lot of the time people cannot tell. they're usually not getting botched (USUALLY.) because they are celebrities and it is a problem for their image or whatever else. they get subtle changes and oftentimes its before debut or early in debut or in time for a comeback. you can't always tell but it happens. so, when you're fav comes back with bigger eyes or bigger lips and people claim plastic surgery, try to let it be my darling. we all have different opinions, we all see different things, sometimes people ARE blatantly wrong but it is worse to say "oh, no no! they would never!" when the people discussing this are most definitely impressionable little girls and boys who are victims of the social media driven mental health crisis we are in right now. if they find out an idol is all natural they will do anything to look like that idol and the last thing i want are freshly turned 18 year olds getting unlicensed doctors to give them surgeries because they can't afford proper procedures or the real solution: THERAPY. this industry is full of horrible influences on people's body image. don't make it worse. i especially find it bizarre if an idol is known for their looks, as in, it's their whole thing or when an idol has looked practically the exact same for the past 9 years with no signs of aging whatsoever. surely that would bring suspicion but nooo, how dare you accuse them of surgery? this is wrong. this isn't how we should act. i see too many of these comments online and i have consistently since i became a fan. it's enough. tl;dr: claiming an idol hasn't had plastic surgery can have a horrible influence on people and kids with bodily insecurities. accept that plastic surgery is common in the industry and stop projecting your personal morals onto them. they are not you. they are under pressure. submitted by /u/fleurdenia [link] [comments]

I don’t rlly follow ZB1 that much (I’m a casual listener), but the “speculation” videos I’ve made on his mistreatment from staff or whatever is disgusting!! Does anyone know more? I want to be informed, but I just keep saying all the same information submitted by /u/Minute-Pie8280 [link] [comments]

So WayV was performing their sexy song NECTAR in their recent concert and well, Ten being Ten, moved his hips as nastily as no other man in kpop ever could. And as I watched some fancams posted online, for some reason Ten's hip "churning" reminded me of parts of creation myths in Vedic texts - how the devas (gods) and asuras (demons) worked together to churn the cosmic ocean so they could produce amrita (nectar of immortality).😭 And that churning also produced so much more - it produced Lakshmi (goddess of wealth and beauty), Sura (goddess of wine, halahala (deadly poison) etc.. So basically, all that "churning" was so potent it made me think about creation (myths) - and of nectar of immortality, and poison, and luxury, and beauty and getting drunk - you get what I mean, right?💀😅 Also, it low-key reminded me of how Elvis became popular with the ladies because of how he "wiggled" his hips.😭 I wonder if any of the things your faves do now reminds you of something/someone. If so, do tell.😅 Note: I am fond of mythologies and philosophies from different civilizations and I respect that people have different beliefs so I hope I didn't offend anyone. submitted by /u/Intelligent-Ad9582 [link] [comments]
Lets make a boy group and give some underrated Idols some more visibility, so here are a couple rules to follow :) And your Rapper is: Yechan of Xikers Only one member per group No members from a Big 3 group, Hybe, or Ateez (I love these groups I just want to see smaller groups get some recognition too!) Please only comment an Idol only once and upvote if you see the one you wanted to say! Please only one member per comment. Please comment member and group they are from. I will make a post around the same time everyday and voting will be open for about 24h. I changed up the image format a bit to hopefully help with remembering each members role! And Soul's image changed cause I forgot to grab the one off my work computer and thought this one was cute :) Day 4 time to pick your Center! submitted by /u/MegaGlaceon22 [link] [comments]
I see we have a 100 Days 100 Pics Challenge thread on here, but only for female idols… I thought maybe we could give a little love to the boys/men out there!~ Please comment any picture of male idols. The photo with the most upvotes wins! 💕 submitted by /u/cruelmemory [link] [comments]

In a recent interview, Chappell Roan coined the term “Demoitis”—a phenomenon where fans grow emotionally attached to the raw, early demo versions of a song and then struggle to embrace the final, polished release. It’s not necessarily that the studio version is objectively worse, but rather that listeners have already formed a deep personal connection with the earlier version. This made me think—what if something similar is happening in K-pop, not exactly with demos, but with eras, concepts, or genres? I’ve seen so many fans say that a group’s older songs or concepts were better. But what if it’s not really about the quality? What if fans are just attached to those old songs and eras because they were very sentimental to them? K-pop stans tend to be very emotionally attached to their groups. So when the group changes their sound, style, or concept, some fans might feel disconnected—not because the new stuff is bad, but because they miss the version of the group they first fell in love with. It’s kind of like Demoitis, but for eras and concepts. So maybe when fans say, “I liked their old stuff better,” it's not always about the music itself. Maybe it's more about holding on to something that felt special to them. submitted by /u/why_dmn [link] [comments]
