If possible link any fancams/videos so that I can watch them!! submitted by /u/YeosangYodeler [link] [comments]
Although I say this none of their music appeals to me. (Except for XLOV I suppose, they came with something interesting) What has inspired me to write this post is well, competition. H2H and Kiikii are neck and neck. For bgs it's AHOF, Kickflip and Close your eyes. I don't think we are getting a clean sweep this year from anyone, especially with bhnbg and smnbg coming but regardless, are you guys as intrigued as I am? submitted by /u/AggravatingListen188 [link] [comments]
I’ve been a long time kpop fan of a variety of different groups but only recently have it gotta full stop into Ateez and Stray Kids to the point of buying their light stick and merch. Just this weekend I visited a store in New York and figured it would be fun to buy a pack of cards each. I was not expecting to love them so much. They are just little cards! Now I want many more and I’m not sure what to do from here. Is there specific etiquette about PCs that I don’t know about? Where are good places to get more? Does it matter if they are official or not? submitted by /u/Qilincreations [link] [comments]

This isn't meant to be another XG/Katseye. My focus is on Blackswan and their public reception (particularly from ifans). In 2022 Blackswan had a lineup change leaving Fatou and Leia (who would leave like a year after the predebut) as the only OG members. Once almost all the OG members left, Dr Ent rebranded with new members NVee, Gabi and Sriya alongside the two remaining original members. The lineup was met with a lot of controversy, particularly towards the members status as a kpop group. Most kpop fans claimed that Blackswan was not a kpop group despite operating like one and making music in the genre and language. Why? On the sole basis that they were not Korean (which the members have stated mainly came from ifans not knetz, I'm sure they received criticism from knetz but the vast majority of it came from ifans). That very same year though XG debuted and a few months later had their first viral song in June with "Mascara". When "Mascara" blew up a lot of eyes were on XG and how they operated, subsequently despite not labeling themselves as such they were referred to as a kpop group or kpop adjacent. XG do not refer to themselves as a kpop group, neither do their fans or their company and yet they still got that label. XG is an all Japanese group. There is one member, Hinata, who is half Korean but most people that know that Hinata is half Korean are alphaz and alphaz don't consider XG to be a kpop group while the people that only view XG as an all Japanese group view XG as a kpop group. Fast forward a two years and Katseye debuts after their survival show. The group has members from many different nationalities with only one Korean member. Like XG Katseye do not view themselves as a kpop group, neither do their fans their company. Still the kpop label is pushed onto them. The opposite is true for Blackswan. The members view themselves as a kpop group, so do their fans and company. Yet kpop fans do not see them as a kpop group. Despite the fact that the very same reason fans use to justify calling XG and Katseye a kpop group applying to them as well. They promote in a kpop style. They're under a Korean company. They went through kpop style training (this is only half true for XG) Their staff and the people they work with are Korean (which is only half true for XG and Katseye) And yet people still consider XG and Katseye kpop or at least kpop adjacent but not Blackswan. The no Koreans thing doesn't make sense to me, Katseye only have one Korean member out of six, XG only has a half Korean member that most people don't even know is half Korean. submitted by /u/ElectronicPianist857 [link] [comments]

Hi friends ! sorry for the confusing title (?) Honestly, to give you a bit of context, i am 22yo girl, no degree in fashion whatsoever. No obvious plans for the future, no idea for a long term career. I am just a fashion enthusiast that happens to enjoy drawing and Xdinary Heroes a lot ! I actually do a lot of things on the daily, tattoos, tooth gems, clothes, hair cutting and dyeing etc.. I love anything creative !!!! i love expressing myself !!!!! I actually LOOOVE Balko's work when it comes to styling them for Mvs, concepts, photoshoots etc. As a whole, XDH's universe and potential are so attractive to the eye and to me, i would genuinely LOVE to be a part of the team (if it works that way lol), i really feel like you can make them try so many things and they would actually ROCK IT, literally. Anyways, the only thing that i had a hard time really enjoying was the outfits planned for their recent concerts. They were mismatched, too dangerous for such hot weather (literally thick layering of clothes while being on stage with fire canons for example), overdone or too plain. I just really enjoyed the black suits with the words and sentences, mottos written on it, though. So, for fun i just decided to design some concepts on concert outfits, and people gave me heartwarming feedback and it made me think, that mayhaps it could be a fun job to look for ? Does it make sense ? i had done around 3 whole outfits templates and i even redid the FiRE poster because, to my eye, it was missing so much. But everything obviously comes from an amateur's eye, i do not wish to sound pretentious!!!!! I don't mind doing it on my freetime too, but styling them could be so fun, even for their future works. There's so much, again, that you can make them try and you'd KNOW it would work... But how does it work generally ? is Balko the only stylist, or does she have a team with her that decides on everything clothes wise ? How accessible it is ? How does it work ? I wouldn't mind only designing or styling stuff exclusively for concerts either! is that even a field that exists ? That i could build a portfolio on and send to them ? Especially for their overseas concerts. It is something i would love to try ! Overall, i think its not avoidable, but i do not really wish to work for k-pop groups, i just enjoy working in stuff i am most inspired on and that i also wear on the daily, which is any kind of Rock, metal..alt....you name it ! Thanks to anyone that reads my silly thoughts LOL wishing yall a sweet day or evening!!!!! submitted by /u/Which-Bus-2305 [link] [comments]
BEAST was on a league of its own before and I keep wondering that they'll be one of the biggest group if they made their debut in this generation. 👏🏻 submitted by /u/Usual-Range8617 [link] [comments]
What I mean, which tracks will be seen as songs that changed, helped… the pop music of korea/the industry? I really think Gee, Ring Ding Dong and Gangnam Style are up there. But please do discuss! submitted by /u/sameoldrussianstan [link] [comments]

This might sound like a broken record to some, but I just need to rant: GOT7 deserves so much more respect in the K-pop discourse. I’m tired of the way they’re either dismissed or forgotten entirely when people talk about 3rd gen legends. Like how do you talk about 3rd gen without mentioning the group that outsold, outcharted, and outperformed in almost every corner of Asia without having the full backing of their company? They were literally self-producing before it was trendy. They were dropping full albums yearly (sometimes multiple), doing world tours, speaking multiple languages on stage, and still getting called "irrelevant" because they didn’t have the same Western PR machine behind them. It’s crazy how much they actually did: Built a loyal global fandom without major promo. Each member with their own solo identity, yet still putting group first. Left their company and still came back to release music as 7, without drama or mess. Who else even does that? I’m not saying people need to stan, but the selective amnesia when it comes to their contributions is insane. GOT7 walked so a lot of these newer groups could even exist in the global space. I get it, they’re not the trend anymore. But damn, a little respect wouldn’t kill people. submitted by /u/Critical_Year_4762 [link] [comments]
Asking those who make kpop related posts, when was a time when you got hate. It could be a genuine wrong doing or unreasonable hate. submitted by /u/Full-Amoeba5171 [link] [comments]
GD's Ubermensch album and Ten's Stunner mini both really felt like such perfect gifts for me this year. And they dropped just one month apart and both had tours (although Ten's was too rushed it felt inhumane). So yeah seeing GD wear a floral jacket in his concert tour made me happy cuz what are the odds that he'll be wearing something similar to Ten's concert teaser photos jacket? And I have never seen any other male artist wear the same type of jacket! And no, I don't do ships, nor do I feel that they need to be friends. But yeah, somehow, it makes me happy that my faves may actually have more things in common aside from being very talented, being into painting and being short, lol.😅 Just like how pleased I am when I have something in common with my faves too. I know it's trivial but sometimes small things like these are interesting for me. Anyone else here who are fans of both GD and TEN and could relate? Or anyone else who has faves who aren't close to each other but who share common stuff? submitted by /u/Intelligent-Ad9582 [link] [comments]

My personal one for singles and title tracks Twice - This is For Ive - be alright BP - Jump Le Sserafim - different Le Sserafim - Kawaii Baby Monster - Hot Sauce(although if OST’s count I would probably put Ghost number 1) Kiss of life - Lips hips kiss(Although I like their b side k bye more) Meovv - Hands up Meovv - Drop Top Aespa - Dirty work Ps. Not familiar with illit enough but I know they had a few releases I listened to once. No opinion on jellyous and do the dance yet. And katseye Gabriella and gameboy both rank pretty low for me. Pretty disappointed with dirty work, nowhere near Armageddon or whiplash for me. And pretty surprised by twice. I was never a fan really but this is for is great and the three in kpop demon hunters had great vocals in the movie. If Nmixx 4 months ago is considered recent enough, know about me would be high up the list. submitted by /u/Pdideee [link] [comments]
So I've been into kpop for a long while of course, and I've also been standing my ult group red velvet for a while; however, I have a genuine question. I have rarely watched any of their content besides music shows and music videos, but I listened to all their music, so should I start watching the side videos they post on YouTube as well? submitted by /u/SensitiveStructure51 [link] [comments]
