Ok, I’m not talking about taeil and seungri. Obviously those people can rot. But every single idol at some point In there life will have done something “problematic” wether we know about it or not. Same with you and me. Like call them out whatever, but once they have apologised what more do you want them to do? Get on their hands and knees and beg for forgiveness? Like I’m not boycotting an idol or group because of one thing they said/did and then apologised for. You all love to Yap about how unrealistic beauty standards ect are and how they are human to but act like it’s the end of the world when they say something slightly offensive. we have all done bad stuff. submitted by /u/orbitl00na [link] [comments]

Just curious, I mean stay away from my FoxI.Ny then it’s all fine haha. But actually my dad will give me his go pro but I am hesitant because of bag check. But I never see bag checks were they really have to take something away with value, only some water bottles. submitted by /u/Significant_Plate110 [link] [comments]

Clarifying: I'm not really a MY, I just follow what Karina and Winter do a lot because i've really liked them since debut. I was just interested in this topic because i've seen it a lot. I've heard a lot about Giselle's mistreatment/unfair treatment situation and after seeing how they left her out from a solo shot in Japan (her home country) the other day, I was so confused. What is SM (or anyone) gaining from this? Iirc, SM have divisions, but i'm 100% sure Giselle alone brings in more than a lot of other SM idols. It's not like she doesn't bring in any money at all. From what i've seen, her and Ningning have blown up hugely since Drama-Supernova-Armageddon-Whiplash (their biggest eras as well, mind you), so why would anyone feel the need to leave her out and treat her unfairly in comparison to other members? She brings in a lot of publicity and has a lot of fans, so it seems stupid on SM's part. And people can't use the typical, 'SM are scared she'll get so popular and they won't be able to control her' excuse they use on other idols because... They have Karina in that group lol When it cones to styling, I don't really like saying anything bad and unfair about it because sometimes idols do choose their own outfits, and aespa seem like they are in a position to decline an outfit if they really wanted to. But her outfit differences with other members seem like a big reason fans think she's treated unfairly. Is she actually being treated unfairly? And what could possibly even be the reason? Since there's no justifiable reason to treat her unfairly because 4/4 of the members are very profitable at the end of the day. Thoughts? submitted by /u/Gold_Meaning3688 [link] [comments]

From December 2024 to March 2025, the BLACKPINK girls gave us music after a long wait (even if it was solo) since their departure from YG. December: Rosé – rosie February: Jisoo – AMORTAGE, Lisa – Alter Ego March: Jennie – Ruby Something that stood out to fans was that Jisoo's release had only 4 songs, while her bandmates' albums had over 10. What frustrates me is that people still don’t understand the concept behind AMORTAGE, and they go online saying Jisoo didn’t put as much effort into her album as the others and that's way I´m making this unpopular opinion, especially when: We’re used to mini albums in K-pop. Jisoo is the only BLACKPINK member who was born and raised in Korea (Lisa is Thai, Rosé is of Korean descent but was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, and Jennie was born in Korea but moved to New Zealand). AMORTAGE portrays love through four stages, each represented by a song: Falling in love (earthquake) Being in a relationship (Your Love) Choosing to end it and no longer letting the tears take over (TEARS) Walking away from a relationship where you were undervalued and used (Hugs & Kisses) While people may have expected more songs, the concept is solid, and it’s a cohesive EP that sticks to its theme beautifully. I also feel like her acting experience helped bring this vision to life. On top of that, I’ve seen praise for Jisoo’s vocals and the album’s production quality. And this matters — because each member has grown and shown us who they are individually, with their own sound and concept. Whether it’s introspection, cinematic storytelling, exploring different sides of yourself, or expressing through diverse sounds — each one has taken a unique path of self-discovery. submitted by /u/Apprehensive-Bat7522 [link] [comments]

rules are simple: name whatever gen 4 or gen 5 idol you'd like, that fits into the category (male or female) please don't post the same idol twice, and instead upvote comments with the idol you'd like after 24 hours the voting is closed and I'll post for the next category ^ starting with the vocalist! submitted by /u/hyun_chuu [link] [comments]

It can be between soloists, groups, different idols (must be from different groups) or between idols and western artists. The winner will be chosen through an online random generator so votes DO NOT matter. 𑁍𑁍𑁍 ❥︎ Group Name: Twice ❥︎ Members: Felix, Wonyoung, Bang Chan, Kihyun, Sana, Gahyun, Minnie, BamBam, Wooyoung, San ❥︎ Pre-Debute song: Black Swan ❥︎ Debute Song: Bouncy ❥︎ Special Collab: ?? ❥︎ First Album: ?? 𑁍𑁍𑁍 submitted by /u/xunyomi [link] [comments]

Making it in the west isn't be-all and end-all and SM groups will remain successful whether they become popular in the US or not. But SM has been trying for almost a 2 decades. Hybe, JYP and YG have (had) at least 2 groups that are pretty successful in the US. JYP has Twice and SKZ doing stadium tours. YG has BP and Bigbang and 2ne1 were the most successful 2nd gen acts in the west. Hybe has thee BTS and several of their groups like TXT, SVT, Enhypen, Le Sserafim and Newjeans all have good following in the US. SM tried with Boa, SuperM, NCT127 and this time, aespa. I can't talk about Boa because I wasn't here during her peak but SuperM seemed too corny (they gave us memeble music tho). They seem to be trying with aespa, Coachella, English songs, US shows and now, a collaboration with a western artist and remixes. But it doesn't seem to work. Some fans say they should've tried with Red Velvet and Exo. I guess RV could've built a nice following. I'm not sure about Exo because their last tour back in 2017 apparently didn't sell out. Why do you think out of big 4, SM is the only company which does not have a group with such a large western fanbase? submitted by /u/Equivalent_Ad9125 [link] [comments]
I just KNOWWWW these ceos, executives and shareholders are seeing katseye’s success. Chart wise, they’re doing better than some of the biggest groups in Korea! They have the MOST monthly listeners for a girl group right now and they have two songs that charted in the hot 100 and they’re barely a year old. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more of these kpop formula western groups soon. I wonder if a boy group would work in the west, the GP are lowkey over pop boys submitted by /u/fairyfartt [link] [comments]
